Lemme analyse this thing for you. THe golden age of chelsea FC is no more. No Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Cech e.t.c. This chelsea team is good, but not as good as barcelona. Barca itself is shitty at the moment, but with the Dembouz and Paulinho addition, and a potential coutinho transfer looming, there's an upper hand. Laso remember that chelsea is playing at home in the first leg.

Champions league also needs a bit of coaching experience which unfortunately, Antonio Conte has had little success hitherto in the UCL. Even when Juventus were blazing all guns in the serie A, they had miserable UCL outings.

The odds are heavily in favour of Barcelona, but this is football! Anything can happen.



As for PSG vs Real madrid, I don't even understand what to say. Unai Emery needs to put that team in order to stand a chance. They have a lot of talent, but the team needs cohesion. The frontline of Cavanni, Mbappe are very selfish most times and that thing will ruin them. They need alot of maturity to make a good use of their chances especially during the first leg at the Bernabeu. Real madrid are obviously struggling, but they have a reputation for turning up when it matters.

This Barca team crumbles under pressure as it lacks a midfield enforcer. This is why i advocate a positional swap of I. Rakitic and S. Busquets. Busquets is an intelligent interceptor of the ball just like Emperor Xavi. Doing so gives the team a commanding presence in the middle of the pack and a good balance in attack and defence going by the former's work rate. I see Chelshit throwing everything at us in the early exchange. We stand a chance if we can absorb the pressure and calmly distribute the ball. The aim should be to dominate possession and gradually gear for goal and not to go and win outright. They have N. Kante, who for me is one of the most intelligent midfield players in the world right now. On his day, CHELSHIT can finish the job at the bridge. I fear them to be honest, going by our very poor record against them, coupled witht the fact we have a naive coach.

On another note, i think its time to do a midfield shuffle; I. Rakitic plays very well and confidently in a holding position whenever S. Busquets is taken off or not starting. He appears very calm and distributes the ball better from that position and still track back amply to lend support to the defence. S. Busquets, on the other hand, seems to be the perfect replacement for Xavi H. we have long scouted for. His vision with the ball and movement coupled with a few tricks he has up his sleeves could come handy if he is pushed forward and centralised closely to god-Messi and the forwards. That would see us do well offensively since he would be the enforcer and no longer the pivot. He is too creative for that pivot position when the team is in urgent need of an enforcer.

This 4-4-2 is crap. It gives no room for creativity, which explains why even A. Iniesta often struggles to create anything of worth and causes mobile forwards like L. Suarez to struggle in games. It soothes penalty box forwards like P. Alacacer tho, as evident in his goal conversion rate this season. It's a very narrow formation that doesn't allow for easy distribution of the ball in and outside of areas that matter. The team has only improved defensively albeit trashy offensively. I hope Wed revert back to 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 once O. Dembele is back in the team.
