The regulator had introduced the 2442 Do-Not-Disturb short-code activation for subscribers not interested in receiving unsolicited text This 2442 code is it for selected customers because I just dialled it on my Airtel and it says I " I am not allowed to dial this number", while my MTN said ," the number dialled is incorrect". Should I have sent it as SMS . Really would like if these so called short code can be made available to customers and it should also work and not to selected few customers as the information is not circulated What am I even complaining of after all MTN will still do worse. |
Obaseki this and much more awaits you if you allow Oshiomhole have his way. Ambode lost it when he refused to fight back. As a governor even before the imoeachment is served he would have dealtTinubu a sucker punch at least, it would have been better he goes down fighting and not this trashing by Tinubu. Obaseki he who goes to equity must go with clean hands, please try and not steal like Ambode so that the masses that already love you will fight for you to the end. |
May God punish them wherever they are. Each and everyone of these criminals will never end well. The Government should take strict measures on all these crimes going on around. The House should enforce the death penalty for kidnappers and looters. This will definitely bring a change to some extent.
You don't have any moral right to say anything concerning what Nigerians face in the present government. |
This is what happens when guns are not returned to politicians after election. But OP how come only one pic of a car riddled with bullets, on top of the many houses that you claim were burnt |
Ruggedniggaone:This is not SNAKE or BB thread and so don't expect it to make front page |
The National Chairman of Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria, Sali Bayari, has explained that herdsmen carry arms to “have balance of terror.” Bayari lamented that the security chiefs and government failed to pay attention to herdsmen and farmers clashes before the situation escalated. Bayari stated this on Saturday while meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. GAFDAN stressed the need for the government and Nigerians to come together to find solution to the herdsmen/farmers’ clashes. He said, “The issue has gone beyond herdsmen/farmers crisis; it has led to kidnapping and banditry and if we are not careful, it may lead to a kind of jihadist/ militant group and that is what we fear. “We wrote several letters to the authorities even to the security chiefs, but we don’t get any response. “There are times we begin to wonder whether the security chiefs are more interested in the crisis than in peace. “We also discovered that there are some people who don’t want peace in this country. We think they have various reasons or a particular interest that is making them not to want peace to reign in the country. “If all your efforts toward achieving peace would be destroyed by those who are supposed to give you peace, then you begin to look for another means and that is what led to people (herdsmen) arming themselves to have balance of terror.” The Fulani leader, however, commended the former president for facilitating the meeting to deliberate on how to tackle the security challenges. He added, “If we had another father like Obsanjo in all the regions, maybe we will not be in this mess. What has brought us into this sorry state is the fact that when a problem starts, the leaders are not always concerned until it gets to the level of self-help. “The problem we have in this country is that our leaders do not read and therefore not informed and that is why Obasanjo is different. He has made efforts more than those in government.” In his response, Obasanjo urged everybody to be involved in the fight against insecurity. Obasanjo also advised Nigerians to stop the blame game and come together to fight the menace of kidnapping, banditry, among other social vices currently threatening the country’s unity. Speaking about the meeting, Obasanjo said it became imperative to meet with the Fulani leaders in the South-West The former president explained that the meeting was to deliberate and come up with resolutions that could strengthen the unity of the country. Obasanjo added, “How to move Nigeria forward irrespective of our religion, ethnicity, training, profession, among others is all came here to discuss. “There is nobody here who could do all these for us, it is the responsibility of you and me. “It is not a one man’s job; it is the job for all Nigerians and it is until we see it that way that we can now move forward. “We should stop passing blame, everybody is involved and everybody should all take the responsibility to correct what is wrong and make it right.” Also present at the meeting was the spokesperson of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin and representatives of the Fulani groups across the 36 states. https://punchng.com/herdsmen-carry-arms-for-self-defence-fulani-group-tells-obasanjo/amp/ |

Lawwali said that the closest school to their home was practically in a shambles, The best solution is for the school to be renovated as soon as possible. The area the girl resides have other pupils who attend the same school her father complained is in shambles. Or better still parents of the other children who attend the delapidated school should make their children start trecking to the far away school hopefully they will all get motorcycle and cash gifts in return. Please madam first lady talk to your husband to as a matter of urgency renovate that school said to be in shambles. |
dynicks:Thanks for being a realist. It's so sad people here on nairaland think the police are very stupid, most time though I don't blame them . |
Let me be the devil's advocate for once. After sighting the hide out of the kidnappers it was decided by the police that the terrain and location is too difficult to effect clean tactical assault on the kidnappers den in other to rescue the kidnapped pastors without endangering their lives. So the police now leaked the information to social media and hopefully the kidnappers will try and relocate the pastors to another hide out and this time lots of booby trap has been set in the surrounding areas. Not easy to defend police Sha hope I tried even though I am not the PPRO |
Let's go, there enough is enough. Let's unite and make this 5th a reality and speak with one voice like the way we watch Nigerian football match praying and hoping Nigeria will win. Let's team up and do the same come 5rh August to support a brighter and better future for Nigeria |

Yes I can buy it for even N1000 as it is obviously a native corn and it is very sweet and must have been imported from Benin republic as they have this sweet native corn unlike the agric corn now sold in Nigerian markets that's not sweet at all. |
Davash222:I don't think this will be the case, a country in Africa Uganda issues birth certificate to cows. We should learn from Uganda and learn why they issue birth certificate to cows talk less of Id card to the herdsmen. Different ways to kill a rat in a clay pot |
Shagati:She has just vowed never to eat meat again lol. Guess I have a vegetarian in the making |
Mongoose and weasel in Nigeria, I seriously doubt it. Wish it was a snake thread it would have gone to front page. Now am at a delima as my daughter really is asking what's the name and the pics of mongoose and weasel do not match this rodent in goofle |
This matured aggressively looking animal was just killed now. Been looking for a snake but I guess this one will make front page as I really want to know the name as they are abundant here and on top of the food chain of the local wild life after snakes.

Some where in Warri in Delta State I bought meat pie filled with beans. Was later made to understand that it's normal to see beans inside meat pie. Beans pie it should have been called. |
Super story |
Hmmmnnn Read some where in the north where 8 persons died in a well as they went inside the well to rescue the first person that did not come out till the 8 person dies that went inside. I did not believe the story at the time and I am confused wether I should believe this story now, but if it's true about both stories then the people in these areas should all be shot dead by firing squad for their level of foolishness cannot be forgiven |
