My friend has a little issue. His date of birth in Waec cert is 06/04/1994 and Age declaration is 06/04/1994.However,the one on the uniben account is 06/04/1995.will this lead to correction formor it's a minor issue?
Very minor, no cause for alarm. He will need to fill a correction form then get it corrected before he can be cleared. People that filled correction form are still waiting till now.

Thanks for ur response.Pls I heard that there is a new development that for Direct Entry students, without their transcript, they can't be cleared.is it true?
It is true. Without ur transcript u won't be cleared. So many DE students were dismissed when it was their turn to clear cuz of that transcript.

thank you. You've been helpful. One last thing. Can i apply at any waec office or must it be at the particular waec office in the state.
You can apply in any Waec office. Your application will then be sent to the Headquarter for correction. If u get to the office and anyone of the officials tells u that it can't be corrected, do not mind such official. Most of them don't even know whats going on in the headquarter. They usually sy that out of ignorance. Apply then wait. U can still try and get their contacts too to contact them after applying

bro my own prob is dat derez an error in my birth month, intead of july, they wrote june on my original waec cert...I swore an affidavit stating dat derez an error nd I uploaded it in evidence of name...will I still go tru dis rigorous process or I will be fully cleared?
Yes u will go through the process to correct it in waec head qaurter. You should have just claimed that june as ur month of birth and sworn an affidavit with the date of birth in ur waec. That would have prevented u from the rigorous process of going to waec office for correction. U shouldn't have sworn an affidavit to show it was an error.

If I were u I would have just claimed that june as my month of birth then sworn an affidavit of declaration of age with what is in the waec cert so that the only correction that will be made will be by Uniben. But already u had sworn an affidavit that it was an error and u have done ur online clearance and had uploaded ur documents so u must go to waec office to get it corrected. U wil be given a temporary clearance by uniben giving u a stipulated period of six months to get it corrected.

IcucaLAZ:
thank you sire, can the correction be done at any waec office regardless of the state I wrote my exam or must it be in that particular waec office in the state i wrote my exam. Thanks as u reply. May God bless you.
The correction can not be done in any waec office in the state u wrote ur waec. The correction will be done in the Head quarter of Waec. It is a long process o cuz u will spend o.

Have u done ur online clearance? Have u uploaded ur documents? If no is ur answer pls just sworn an affidavit with the date of birth in ur waec and claim that date as ur date of birth so that in ur online clearance u will upload that affidavit of declaration of age u sworn that match with the Date of Birth in ur waec.. This will help u alot from the hustle of spending and applying to waec office for correction and it does take long process. I have even heard someone who applied up to 3 consecutive times to waec to correct his date of birth before they finally corrected it. And he spent alot of money during that period. Follow my quote to Godwin post. I explained everything there.

Godwin10:
Bro weldone.
There is something I want to know.
1. Which of the documents is to be uploaded when doing the online clearance, the affidavit of correction or original doc?
2. If it is the original doc, you claimed it will be rectified by the clearance officers by logging you out n uploading the affidavit .
3. You also said it is too late if you uploaded __________ doc, is it that you can't swear an affidavit to correct your waec date again n retry instead of waiting for waec office to do that.
Please explain in details because I have not slept much in days and might be misinterpreting you.
Thanks.
Answers as below:

1. Documents needed for ur online clearance (i) O'level certificate or O'level statement of results ( statement of results is only accepted for those that wrote their SSCE less than 2yrs ago) (ii) Jamb Original Admission Letter (iii) Certificate of Local Government of Origin (iv) Acceptance Letter (v) Guarantor's Letter (vi) Birth certificate or Affidavit of declaration of age. (vii) Affidavit of non membership of secret cult (viii) Affidavit of Good conduct (ix) Jamb original result

2. You are expected to upload all your Original documents listed above. If u have wrong date of birth in ur waec which is different from the one in ur Uniben profile data u will be asked which is correct and which is wrong. The one in waec or the one in ur jamb-uniben profile page? If it is the one in waec that is wrong then u will be asked to go to waec office to get it corrected. The clearance corrdinator said such people will be given the grace of 6 months to correct their wrong waec date of birth or else admission of such victims will be withdrawn in 300level. But if ur waec date of birth is correct but the jamb-uniben profile data date of birth is the wrong one, then u have no problem like those that have wrong waec date of birth. All u need to do is fill a correction form in ur physical clearance then Uniben will get it corrected. Read the answer to ur question 2 up again to understand.

3. As a sharp guy if anyone knows that the date of birth in his waec is wrong and have not done his online clearance do not fumble just make use of that date of birth in ur waec then go to court and swear an affidavit to match that D.O.B in ur waec. Forget about wether thats not ur real date of birth. Jst make use of it to avoid the stress of going to Waec office to get ur waec date of birth corrected which is a long process. That is only for those that are still yet to do their online clearance. If u are yet to do ur online clearance pls follow what the write up in number 3 says. If u must use ur real date of birth even though the one in ur waec is wrong and u don't want to use dat D.O.B then u will be given temporay clearance and grace of 6 months to correct ur wrong waec date of birth.

To me for those that are yet to do their online clearance and having wrong waec date of birth, even though is a wrong date of birth pls just simply sworn an affidavits to match ur waec D.O.B. Forget about whats in ur birth certificate. Ur sworn affidavit will cover up for u. Use that date of birth in ur waec so that the only correction that will be made will be by Uniben to correct ur date of birth in their data base to correspond with the one in ur waec. Thats a smart idea right? That will free u from the hustle of going to waec office for correction. Just claim and make do with ur D.O.B in ur waec. The above idea will only work for those that are stil yet to do their online clearance. If anyone fall within that category make use of ur affidavit of declaration of age in place of ur birth certificate. Why because u are making use of that ur waec date of birth which may not correspond with the one in ur birth certificate so do not use ur birth cert instead use ur affidavit of declarartion of age.

IcucaLAZ:
i didn't even knw about it till recently, and cleared with my online printout and statement of result. It's just by one year. Instead of 1994, 1995 was written. I'm dead.
Have u collected the Original? If waec have not yet prepared d original then it will be easy. Start applying now to Waec to get it corrected. Those that have already collected their original waec certificates are the ones that will have delay cuz that simply means they will be given another original certificates after the correction. U should have just sworn an affidavit to match with that 1994 . U could have just use the age in ur waec and declare an affidavit for it before doing ur online clearance and uploading ur documents but that was then. You didn't realise it on time and the mistake had been made and would be corrected. That could have prevented u from going to jamb office for correction which does not seems as an easy task. If perhaps u did what I have just explained now all u would have done is to fill Uniben correction form to correct the one in ur uniben data profile to match with the one in ur waec. So many people made this mistake which could have been easily avoided. If I were the one immediately I notice dat my date of birth in my waec is different frm the one in jamb or uniben profile ,I wil simply sworn an affidavit with the date of birth in my waec so that I won't be going to waec for any correction. The only correction that would have been done will be the one in uniben data base. As easy as that.

But as it is now start applying to waec without delay. However, be calm. Nothing is impossible. The only impossible things are the things that are not in existence.

IcucaLAZ:
thank you. can i also try to go and correct it in waec office i heard it takes time, that's before i reach final year.
According to one of the representatives from the office of the Registrar, u will only be given 6 months to correct ur wrong WAEC date of birth.

This could have been avoided if u declared affidavit of declaration of age to match with the age in ur waec. This is what most people failed to know.To go to WAEC Office to get ur date of birth corrected no be Beans o.
And Uniben only give such victims 6 months to do that or else admission will be withdrawn in ur 300level (source Registrar). But if anyone having such issue is wise enough to just declare affidavit of declararion of age to coincise with the age found in the waec the stress of going to Waec office to correct waec date of birth would have been avoided. Wether thats ur real date of birth or not u were only doing it to avoid the stress or prevent ur admission frm being withdrawn as the 6 months given to u to make such correction could elaps within the twinkle of an eyes

lol.
This thread reminds me of my UNIBEN days.
Everybody in uniben knows the department of ELECT/ELECT ENGR is the most 'lenient' in Uniben's faculty of engineering.
Unlike other departments,
they churn out atleast 10 first class' on the average every year.
Your story is not really improbable .
The department of chemical engineering on the other hand is a different matter.
It would take a miracle for such turn-around to happen there.
Infact, if you were not already on 4.0 GPA in your 100/200 , then you are screwed.
The sadistic ,overzealous and megalomaniacal lecturers there will run you ragged.
By the time i will graduate with a CGPA of 4.80 in chemical engineering, the doctors at health center had to recommend me for psychiatric analysis at USELU hospital.
It was a satisfying educational experience though.
U meant u graduated with a CGPA of 4.80?

What change are we talking about?
A man that wanted to convert a whole Nigeria to Islam? A man that doesn't allow freedom of speech and religion? U guys should not let ur single vote be a regret to all Nigerians. We don't need his kind of change. He is coming in to make life useless for the common man. Pls vote wisely

Do u know it happens that way? She will take from u and give to another guy just because d other guy know whatsup pass u. She dey give am money plus punny. Infact, you'll end up having girls drooling whenever your name is mentioned cheesy

Sadly, the average Nigerian man believes that money is the only factor that drives ladies wild.

That's uber-nonsense.

Ladies are creatures of emotion, all you need is the right click.
Don't be a Doubting Thomas. I so much love everything Charles wrote up there. In fact I'm following him. He somewhat like a mentor to me.

Bro money is not love and u can't buy love with money. Spend heaven and earth on a girl my brother she will take u as her personal maga mugu. Take her out and buy her all she needed but will end up putting u to where u belong. As a guy this ur ideology will not make u success with ladies.

I don't believe in average living. After all the stress , Call up and lack of time for one's family one will still end up receiving a peanut as salary. To me Medicine is only sweet for those that had attained the position of consultant who are receiving N700,000 above. And u know what it takes to get to a consultant position. It still requires many years of studies. Seriously Med Docs deserve a very extremely fat salary to compensate for all the stress but the system is not helping matters in Nigeria making alot of Zealous Med Docs to get frustrated. House officers shouldn't be receiving nothing less than N300,000 under normal condition. God will help us

Let me start by asking u what instigated ur sudden interest to study Chemical Engineering? Why didn't u discover ur interest for Chemical Engineering right from time?

It is not too late though. You can still be a Chemical Engineer if you so much want it at this point.

You cannot proceed straight to do a masters in Chemical Engieering with your Comupter science degree. You will first of all do a PGD (Post Graduate Diploma) in Chemical Engineering first before you can then apply for masters in chemical Engineering for you to be fully recognised as a certified Chemical Engineer.
