Your stands are just mere presumptions. They are not lay on bricks. Engineers are getting invited with 70. It's all about being patient. Forget about all the current trends. It's election formats. Things will ease out starting from this new financial year.

Another tornado round of invites like the one that happened in 2022 will happen again. It's better you advise individuals to do everything possible to get in the queue than outrightly telling them never to try if they can't score 85 and above. That's a terrible way to advise intending applicants. Not that your discouraging post will hold any water any way. Cuz anyone who has been on this race is well prepared for it.

While I am not in any way faulting your earlier post, but outrightly writing intending applicants that can't score more than 85 points off is not the right thing to do. Don't use current trends to judge everyone situations.

Aside the priority occupations, majority of persons still get invited for non priority occupations. Save this, after the election, things will return back to normal between now and next financial year. That's why it's wise to enter the queue as far as individual meets the required 65 points.

I will still advise you not to outrightly discourage people and write them off. I have seen lots of people who get invited with as low as 65 and 70 for non priority occupations.

If competition is high for 189 due to some persons' occupations, they can be invited for 491.

Don't use current trends to outrightly discourage people. If bellong and tunex discourage people right from the inception of this thread, we wouldn't be here. Many have benefited from this thread due to the positive outlook of the contributors here.

My life and standard of living generally is way way way much better than I was in Nigeria. There is sanity here. And sometimes, I walk home around 2am or 3am and I'm not scared of anyone robbing me.

Life as a student isn't easy here because we all know how we got here. So assuming I came here as a student who has paid all his/her tuition or on a work visa, I would have had more pleasurable experiences. Life as a student is stressful and tough. But that's the price to pay for immigration because you will definitely have to learn the ropes of your new society.

I'm doing a 1yr MSC program, so I just know that I'll go through some tough times for just 1yr and then after that... I can only go upward from there.

People tend to judge UK from the lenses of students who struggled to come here for studies. Because we tend to be the loudest. People who come here on a work visa don't make noise. UK has it's down sides but it's been a blessing to me even as a student. Then how much more if I came here on a work visa! As a student, I have been able to take care of my dad's medical bills...and this was something I couldn't do when I was in Nigeria.

When I hear @Tensazangetsu20 lambast the UK lol, I just laugh. He's always been a UK critic so I expect that from him sha. UK is good if you're willing to put in the work and if you come here with an open mind to relearn the job market because its different from 9ja.

To produce electricity you need a magnet and coil of wire... Just move one relative to the other boom u have electricity

The whole nuclear, hydro, gas, steam, coal and the likes are just how to turn the magnet relative to wire coils

Transmission is just aluminum wires ( the most abundant metal on earth) from power plant to distribution centers and those are just big transforms
