The former Governor of Abia State and APC Chieftain, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has finally revealed the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu today after meeting the former head of state, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
He said Nnamdi Kanu is safe in London that people shouldn't be worried about him.
He claimed that Kanu fled to the United Kingdom during the time the military were looking for him.
Kalu disclosed this in an interview with newsmen today.
According to him,
“Nnamdi Kanu is where I told you he is, he is in London. He is safe”.
Kalu explained that he visited IBB to canvass support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Kalu explained that his campaign for President Buhari had nothing to do with the South-East getting the presidency in 2023 or his perceived presidential ambition.
On the crises over the emergence of candidates at the forthcoming primary election nationwide, Kalu said conflict of interests were normal in politics.
“The crisis is part of political development, if there is no crisis there will not be political development. Crisis is what makes political development there must be crisis and there must be solution”.
The former Governor and his entourage arrived at Babangida’s Hilltop residence Tuesday afternoon in three black Toyota SUVs and two Hillux Vans.
Kalu was ushered into the guest room, where he held a 2-hour closed-door meeting with IBB.

Former England and Tottenham defender Gary Mabbutt said a rat ate part of his foot while he was asleep on holiday in South Africa.
The 57-year-old was forced to fly back to the UK for surgery and spent a week in hospital. Mabbutt, who has 16 caps for England, has type 1 diabetes and has little feeling in his feet.
The incident happened six weeks ago when he was visiting his daughter, who is working at the Kruger National Park. "I've gone to sleep and during the night a rat has come into the bedroom, climbed into the bed and has decided to chew on my foot," he said.
"It's made quite a big hole in my toe, going down to the bone, and ate underneath my foot. It bit my daughter's thumb first in the other bedroom, and then she came into me and said 'Dad, something's bitten me'. Being in Africa, you think of snakes and scorpions."

Addressing journalists during a press conference, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Edgal Imohimi, said that the suspects were picked up on Sunday at 2 a.m. while they were performing gay initiation rites for newly recruited members.
“Intelligence gathered revealed that some youths will be initiated into a Gay/Homosexual Club between 1 a.m and 2 a.m. at Kelly Ann Hotel/Events Centre, located at No. 3-7, Adenrele St., Egbeda, an action contrary to Section 1 (1) of Same-Sex Marriage, Act 2014.

Abagworo: Stop writing thrash because you hate Okorocha. Before Okorocha became Governor New Owerri was smaller than it is now and wasn't as built up as it is now extending to Avu, Nekede and Obinze. Uche Nwosu developed New Owerri through an ingenious tactics. Okigwe road is the only place Okorocha felled trees probably because they grew much tall and started bending towards the roads but he has replanted grasses and trees after expansion. Wetheral, Douglas and Orlu roads had no trees in 2011 and we have their pictures in Nairaland archives. I know you as an unrepentant Rochas apologist hence your spurious accusations of me hating him doesn't bother. I gave him his dues where it was befitting but the truth must be told notwithstanding. How i wish my other phone was here, i woulda show some roads before 2017 and after, especially between Warehouse junction and High Court. That place is a far cry now from what it used to be greenery wise. Don't even get me started on Bank Road axis too. As per the inner roads, i stay around old Owerri area and when you walk through Owerri Nchise communities, Aladinma, Ikenegbu, Prefab etc as well as even some streets in Aba etc., you will still see the old works of Mbakwe who tarred the streets far back when Abia and Imo with some part of Ebonyi were one state. The beauty of a street is tarred road and trees cum greenery. Our present leaders need to adopt this fast. |
