EducationRe: Moving With A Cultist Without Knowing His Plan by McStoic(m): 9:44pm On Apr 25, 2015
chigo93:
U don't need to join. U could still be rugged without being a cultist, cultists are humans like you, they are not special beings, dont avoid him, drink with him, stay free with him, borrow from him,see him as a broda, the day he asks you to join, just tell him u don't fancy it,tell him to 4get dat tin.I have friends dat were cultists way back in schl, infact it's even good for a guy to experience the rugged nature of lyf,it is dis traits dat differentiates you from the rest. U must'nt be a cultist,i opted nt to join because I neva wanted to obey orders from someone I know I am smarter than, its gud to be a man of ur own. Be bold.stay wise. But, don't always be around him, learn to be scarce,so that u won't be seen as a target by rival gangs. It's as if I am contradicting myself, but read between the lines and decipher for yaself.
Hmm.m......some of your advice though. It's good you realize you are contradicting yourself sha....You were lucky during your days man. It's good to be free with people but with a cultist, its not always advisable to initiate the interaction. These days cultism is no longer as hard and mean as men used to be back then but that doesn't still mean he should be keeping bad companiy. The so called ruggedness being bandied about is glorified childishness, an unnecessary journey which leads to nowhere. He better stay away from that guy so as not endanger himself after all "evil communication corrupts good manners. If you have ever shared a room with a die hard executioner who is always watching over his shoulder, you would understand what I am saying. Getting caught in a cult war's crossfire was never palatable and I am sure it still not is.

Cc:lalasticlala,ishilove,enusmith
You are twenty years and in 200L? Nice of you to have made it this far without being initiated during your matric. On the other hand, that your cultist friend seems a very very dangerous cultist. The most gentle ones are usually the deadliest. You said he is number 2? Don't be surprised if he is an executioner...

See, run as fast as you can from him. Avoid him by all possible means cos even if he doesn't succeed in "bamming" you, just being around him is highly suicidal (this happened in OAU in 1998 likewise ABSU, UNICAL and other hotbeds of campus cultism). If a frat war should break out, "every moving tree becomes a suspect", meaning that if they come for him and he's not around, you may likely get hit. In short unless the hit guy(s) know your "jew man" status wella to ignore you, aside that, most rival cultists are already seeing you now as a rival (i know what am saying).....

Your best bet is to join fellowships or find ways to find accommodation very far from him. If it's possible too, you can start coming to school from home. Look for friends who are higher than both of you in age, level and experience, provided he is also not a cultist. This is to intimidate him subtly. Most importantly start being unpredictably scarce. These should help somehow. Take care.

Thandolwethu:
I start by imploring you to read this letter with an open and unbiased mind as this will enable you grab the full gist of my message.
I am a full blooded South African, born and bread in Soweto. I have never been to Nigeria and my impression of your Country is formed by the behaviour and actions of the many Nigerians who live in SA and what we hear and read from the media about the goings on in your country.
I deliberately joined Nairaland today as I noted that alot of you are on this Forum hence its a good platform to pass my message. Suffice it to say that i will delete this account after this message. I will read your responses with keen interest.

1. There is no question that there was xenophobic attack on Foreigners in SA in the past 3weeks. What is in doubt is the scale of the attack. I have noted that Nigerians have overtly blown the crises out of proportion by spreading lies and wrong informatiom concerning the crisis. The idea that South Africans are going round SA cities killing, maiming and burning Foreigners is a lie. Only 7 people have been killed so far and of these 7, 3 are south Africans, 2 Ethiopians and 2 Mozambican. The world media is in agreement with these figures. While its 7 lives too many that doesnt give credence to the news going round in Nigeria that we are killing and burning Foreigners. If thats true then there would be more people dead.
STOP BELIEVING WHATYOU READ AND WATCH ON social media as most are lies and fabricated figments of the imaginations of mischievous Nigerians in other to stoke the flame of discord between Nigeria and SA.

2. Why are Nigerians up in arms against SA with xenophobia when the war in Nigeria is far worse than here in SA. Boko haram is killing thousands your people everyday and theres no end in sight meanwhile no Nigerian has been killed in this Xenophobic attack. That is why Nigerians throng our embassies in Lagos and Abuja seeking Visas to come to SA and escape the despicable living conditions in the slums of Nigeria.

3. This recent Xenophobic attack was predicated on the fact that Foreigners commit so much heinous crimes in SA without impunity and we are tired of all these. We have our own criminals here so we cant add more problems from foreigners.
A. NIigerians are the kingpins of drugs killing our children and society. Your brothers drug our girls into prostitution. They con our people with fraud and 419. They hack into our bank accounts stealing millions.

B. Zimbabweans are involved in robberies and car hijackings

C. Mozambicans kill our farmers and take our jobs for peanuts leaving many South Africans jobless

D. Ethiopians and Somalians open shops to do illegal activities and pollute our communities. Theres a Somalian shop in every 2 houses on every street in SA. No Country can allow that.

SA has its own issues but we would like to solve them without the added problems of Foreign crimials.

If you like burn down shoprite and close MTN its your people that will suffer because these companies employ millions of Nigerians. They will simply go jobless.

Thank you
. This shebeen brought up is so lame! You try to sound reasonable but the Goodwill-Zwelithin syndrome in you makes that impossible! Why has this fellowblacks phobia being recurrent over the years? Something is wrong somewhere and i mean inherently, in the psyche of you lots. A market woman fought with seven different people on her way to the market and instead of introspecting to realise it's her fault, she starts calling them mad people.

Madiba would certinly flip over in his grave now. Guess his labours are in vain. You describe Nigeria as a slum(no be your fault, na our honest media and Nairaland cause am)? Granted that our conditions here are not perfect, but every country has her fair share of troubles. You lot better thank the Boers for kicking your asses cos the little you have in place is innovated by them. Other African countries have brought you to your promised land and you now come here to gloat.. Boy, no country in Africa can undergo what we have been through and still remain one. Hence, never go there ala terrorism. That's a course too up for your little mind. Nigera's multi ethnicity is enough to tear any country apart so don't try to simplify what you are not configured to handle.............finally:

TRY AND TRAVEL OUT COS YOU NEED TO BE REALLY EXPOSED. TRAVELLING IS ONE HELLA WAY OF GETTING SERIOUS EDUCATION FOR THE SOUL. BEING IN ONE PLACE ALL YOUR LIFE WILL NOT HELP YOU IN UNDERSTANDING THAT NIGERIA IS TOO BIG A COUNTRY TO BE THREATENED WITH MTN, SHOPRITE AND OTHER SOUTH AFRICAN BUSINESS BOYCOTTS...................IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH BEFORE ANOTHER OF OUR BILLIONAIRES FLOAT THOSE BUSINESSES IN BETTER WAYS........GERROUT!

Reading through some comments here, one cann't help but thank God for being who He is; talk of being mysterious. I also thank Him for being far away above us. Cos the way mere mortals like us try to use the little knowledge He gave to us to rationalize everything they see, one just wonders.

Truth of the matter is that no matter the chains of logic bandied about left and right, you can never understand the workings of God unless He reveals them to you. Vain glory and petty mockery of holy things by those who know nada are the reasons God chooses to confound the so called learned elites nay doubters through unconventional ways. If the prophecies pain any pesin wey dey here, make him / her go ask God to open their spiritual eyes. QED!
Christianity EtcRe: Was Number 44 Of Suliemans Prophecy Refering To Chris Oyakhilome? by McStoic(m): 6:43am On Jan 06, 2015
Nna eh, I just wonder at the bile people produce against pastors these days. The funny thing is that when the woes start befalling some folks they would start wondering how they got into its web. Let me make a little contribution with this, oncoming epistle;

Naturally, people don't like anything that makes them uncomfortable or shifts them from the status quo ( yours sincerely used to be one hell of a doubting thomas). But then, to those who are truly wise in the sense of God and His ways, you see that what these calls for is prayer. Some blinkered buffoons who commented earlier were trying to juxtapose their shallow guesstimations with those of John Suleiman. Am not a member of his church, but I do know that in spiritual matters, you don't go head on against God. No matter who the prophet is, all you have to do is pray against the prophecies so that none of that comes to fulfilment in your life. The purpose of prophecies is to avert what coulda been if we pray enough. Didn't Bible say that God never does anything without revealing to His prophets?!

Seriously speaking, that one on bloodshed (no 49) is really frightening. I have a friend whose dreams usually comes to pass dreamt about that too. I have heard not less than three different men of God prophesy about the same thing as early as between November and December last year. In short, last four Sundays ago, I was in a particular church's annual thanksgiving in Imo state and heard the man of God prophesy about betrayal against Goodluck Jonathan. Adding that he sees him coming back but may not finish his tenure! He also spoke about Buhari's health. He then gave the stinker: THE BLOOD I SEE BEING SHED NEXT YEAR, NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF NIGERIA'S ELECTION YEAR HAVE SUCH BLOOD BEING SHED. I SEE BLOOD RUNNING LIKE WATER IN THE GUTTERS. PEOPLE WERE RUNNING AROUND DESTROYING THINGS. THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN FROM AROUND JUNE 3RD NEXT YEAR. Going further, he added that he sees CAN and PFN compromising seriously with government next year. I cann't finish them all here due to space and time constraints. All prophecies are meant to warn us to pray more. That some never came to pass in time past doesn't mean they were fake, rather God answered the prayers that were said and averted them.

Finally, its funny that people easily believe that which proceeds from shamans, diviners, seers, native doctors and other occultists but find it hard to believe when it's from the pulpit. NB: My epistle is not meant for all but the wise and the teachable. Thank you!

PoliticsRe: PDP Gubernatorial Primaries Results by McStoic(m):
Ikonz:
Truth be told, Guber candidates from Orlu Senatorial Zone have always in the past bouyed more due to their edge (population wise) over other candidates from Owerri & Okigwe Zones.

Imo has 27 LGA's total, 12 out of it is from Orlu, leaving Okigwe & Owerri with a paltry 6 & 9 LGA's respectively. Although more population are likely to be found within Owerri Municipal, but we all know that it is made up of Indigenes from Orlu, Okigwe, Owerri & from other states.

Ihedioha : PDP : Owerri zone : 9 LGA's
Iheanacho : APGA : Owerri zone : " "
Rochas : APC : Orlu zone : 12 LGA's
....................................................................
Ohakim & Ararume: PDP (failed): Okigwe: 6 LGA's

Lets do some real analysis.

OWERRI
An average Owerri indigene wants & demands that the guber seat be given to them. But unfortunately I must say, the emergence of Iheanacho as APGA Guber flagbearer, & again, the recent winning of Ihedioha in PDP Polls (both of the same Owerri zone), cast lot of contradictory darts in the calculation of political gladiators in Owerri as a zone, & again, PDP & APGA as a party. For those who do not know, Owerri zone has nine Local Government Areas, with a sharing formula between the core Owerri with 6 LGAs and Mbaise that has only three LGAs but with a thick population. It is also based on this mutual understanding, that Imo governor in 2015 which necessity and circumstances zoned to Owerri tilts towards Mbaise since core Owerri through Chief Evan Enwerem governed the state in the Third Republic.

ORLU
Ordinarily, Orlu wld want their son to complete his 2nd tenure, no two words about it. Moreover Rochas has lots of on-going projects in Imo & Orlu in particular, yet-to-be completed. No other guber contestant is from Orlu. Therefore an average Orlu vote wll likely find its way into their son's favour, with a fraction of it going to the opposition party. And again, Orlu has 12 LGA's....yes 12.

OKIGWE
Peherps its a case of an unopened milk gone sour, but I must acknowledge that presently most Okigwe people are aggrieved & angry, largely due to the botched tenure of their son - Ikedi Ohakim & his subsequent inability to retain his seat for 2nd tenure. Now, they are comparatively lesser (population-wise), and their votes are used as a plan b alternative, as a counter mop up, and as supplement to the fierce battle of votes between Orlu & Owerri.

DEDUCTION
.
.
.
The battle line has been drawn, but the boundaries have been prejudiced.
All these are mere analysis. Paper talk at it's best! I agree with you on the number of L.Gs in each zone. If I may ask, where you in Imo state during the 2011 elections? Have you been following the recent political climate of the state? The way things are in Imo state is not how they have always been if you will agree with me.

The Evan Enwerem you are talking about, have you forgotten how his tenure fared? Would you call honestly equate that to having governed Imo state? Everyone knows that Owerri zone has been most disadvantaged. From 1999 till date, Orlu zone has produced the governor 3 good times! Okigwe zone has produced just once being Ohakim. It may interest you to know that Owerri zone which you claim has only 9 LGs has so much if not the most population: Aboh, Ezinihitte and Ahiazu Mbaise respectively has so much population that they can produce another state entirely. Ngor Okpala are also another force to reckon with. Now, Mbaitoli is another populous LGA. The 9 towns of Mbaitoli is a serious battle ground not to be neglected. It may interest you that one of the reasons Mbaitoli LGA have the leader of Imo state traditional rulers is because of what they did for Rochas during the last election; that's were he produced the highest vote. Mbieri alone sef is more populous than some 2 LGAs put together.

From what happened in 2011, coupled with how sensitized people are now, Imo state is gradually moving away from electing their governors based on sentiment. Granted, the privilege of having one's LGA produce the sitting governor is appreciated but, that's not a given anymore. I know some folks from Mbano who are still reeling from the charade Ohakim oversaw during his tenure. The animosity stems from what he didn't do than what he did. It may interest you that so many of them voted him out of office. His vote even in his domain was well tampered with.

Orlu zone are the people who have produced the most governors since the present democratic dispensation but they have not made it count in their zone all these years. The development of the zone since 1999 is a far cry from where it ought to be development-wise. Believe you me, Rochas will have a hard time getting a landslide victory from Orlu zone. Status quo has changed if it may interest you. The major thing Rochas has going for him is power of incumbency. As for Ihedioha, Chris Anyanwu or even Ararume could pull more weight than him if you ask me.

Of a truth, Owerri zone have not been wise in the scheme of things. Look how short Enwerem's tenure was. Martin Agbaso has been selling the zone's birthright and his decamping to PDP simply killed what was left of his political relevance in the zone and Imo state as a whole. Some people call him a political prostitute and I find it hard to doubt them. Anumudu won the primaries in 2003 but was schemed out to contain Udenwa. Owerri zone for all her size have been regularly short changed. The way things are, Iheanacho may even defeat Ihedioha in his own LG.

The way I see this forth coming election, the next governor will be elected based more on antecedents, popularity etc than the irrelevant matter of zoning. Unless rigging is used, this promises to be one hell of a showdown. PDP should have produced a tougher candidate who can effectively square up to the incumbent governor. If the kind of election we witnessed in 2011 should repeat itself, it will simply go down to who did their home work well, has most popularity among Imolites. These counts more these days than all that zoning talk (not that it doesn't have some trappings anyway). People just want who the cap fits now to wear it! Watch out for the campaigns.

He's alleging that he was short changed, while clamouring for the party ticket to be given to him because he thinks that Iheanacho will defeat Ihedioha since they are both from Owerri zone coupled with the fact that he (Iheanacho) looks more popular than him (Ihedioha). Nwanne if he does that, he has already lost before the election starts proper. Using Madumere who is his deputy is simply a win win situation for Owerri zone: the trio of Iheanacho, Ihedioha and the Madumere of a deputy are all from Owerri zone.

In short, whoever he brings short of himself would be a bad move, very bad move. Even in Mbaise where Ihedioha hails from, Iheanacho will keenly contest with him there. His antecedents when he was the minister of interior speaks for him. So many sons and daughters of Imo state got employed through him. And he looks a seasoned administrator. He's made his money from his own shipping business and oil / gas.

Ihedioha has Atiku to thank for making him relevant. His days in the legislature can not really be used to judge his total capabilities per se but, I just feel Iheanacho has been around for longer and looks the real deal

Barring the power of incumbency, I don't see APC pulling more punches. If what happened in 2011 should happen again, then APGA has it to clinch..............Anyway, etere ugba etere azu, time has come for Owerri zone to occupy Douglas House. cool cool

smithereen:
It is advice like this that puts ALL women in trouble.
If you try this break dance, ALL the 5 suitors will find out and downgrade you from marriage material to play-play material (unless they are low-IQ, laggards). You think that when a man is ready to MARRY, he doesn't check out his market?

OP if you try it: you will still come here to post your experience.
Before I married 6 years ago, I encountered plenty of this "mature game" types wey believe say dem sharp pass their degree.
I actually had secret meetings and made plans with some of the other suitors (Siddon there, una wey get sense pass). Believe me, you don't want to risk being in the middle of that.

Infact at least 3 of those girls that I still hear about never marry reach today.
Tell them. One of my female friends some 9 years back tried that dance. You know those type of girls that always believe all men are the same, and that they have men all figured out. Her main suitor was recently transferred to a new branch of the bank he used to work then, in another state. The young lady true to that typical "penny wise pound foolish" age long wisdom, engaged in trying out other guys including yours sincerely. grin. Gradually I withdrew, few months later the main guy was pushed to the wall, put through a lot of paces by the girl. Bank job has its own stress, and since she wasn't being understanding, he freed himself from her troubles. The other 4 guys somehow got wind of her multiple dates and voila, all man to himself. Lol...

Met her two months back at my workplace and she was hiding herself having seen me earlier. I went out to greet her and to render her assistance cos she was pregnant. The biatch was acting all up and was like "what is that your name again sef?" (Na so, I decide say I no go help am again). I smiled, cut her short and started general discussions. Few minutes later, see one old man who came out to call her. I couldn't believe my eyes. I later found out she settled for him having been disappointed by her "6 back ups". Fine girl she was, but over sense dey worry her.

Some of those girls yapping earlier are just lucky children whose palm kernels were broken for them by certain benevolent spirits. The Op should heed their advice carefully.

Hmmmm........this ur advice sha. Truth be told, men know what they want and are easy to make up their mind but you saying that 3 months is very much enough to come to a conclusion is somewhat an overkill. I know it's wrong to string a good sister along but has it ever occurred to you that some good guys can also be very picky when it comes to picking a partner? You make it seem like it's only women that have all the rights or get played. My dear some guys also have tales. E be like say your guy is a yes man (no offence).

That your husband married you not minding that you are a bad cook is not a guarantee that it will work for others. If anything, the real worthy guys make sure the package's exterior is in tandem with the content before they say I do. I grade guys who see a lady immediately and start talking about marriage as foolish and tasteless. What happened to taking time to know someone better. What if the babe is pretending like most women do when they sense you are coming for marriage? A MAN HAS EQUAL RIGHTS TO ENTERTAIN DOUBTS UNLESS HE IS OPEN TO DIVORCE IN THE FUTURE!. On the other hand, I believe 6 months to 12 months is enough for any serious dude to really make his decision. Some of the advices being bandied about here are clearly from newlyweds. When your marriage has crossed at least 5 years and above, your advice may start being an authority, as for now lets take them as they come and move on. Many of you women don't know how hard it is for a man to plan and execute a wedding amidst it's attendant challenges.
BTW: I feel like you call the shots in the marriage, hope am wrong?
LOL....guy chop knuckle joor. grin grin The thing be say the average girl always overly thinks about her own good before yours. That's why i like guys who know how to guard their heart too. So many advice here. The Op better be wise to know which to choose o. Goodluck to her.

[quote author=ogmyth post=27815517]This days we have IT firms coming out, some Nigerians which connects customers and business owners, we have them in online marketplace where you can give your products to online sellers, and they will help you market it. Give you greater visibility and increase customer and increase revenue. This days we have apps as well that do this in taxi's business. It takes away the headache of lies, upon lies from drivers, with no return for investment. The way to deal with such drivers is adopting technology which gives you control of monitoring their activities, giving you more visibility. I will not recommend or be spokesman for any company, but I can tell you adopting technology is the best way to reduce your friction, be more in control, make more money with your eyes close

BadBoy25: I am white with blonde hair and blue eyes . what do you think about that?
Lol....why are you so particular about your "blonde hair and blue eyes"? I doubt if any true black son of naija regards those as true African beauty criteria. Try to find out what naijans find attractive my dear. On a friendly quip, it's good such facts don't get lost on you cos many I know of will regard you first of all as an albino and secondly as a mutant of a sort. Those who may truly care about your sanity will make you out as typification of a gay psycho, not in the least helped by your inked body. Last word: Different schools for different fishes! grin shocked

Word of consolation to whoever has been heartbroken: Take a deep breath. Raise your chin and move on. Few heart breaks here and there is good for everyone. It helps keep some funny side of every human in check, makes you know what you really need and not just want on the long run. Lastly, it helps you appreciate what you may have in the future.

Haryoryhemie: And so? isn't it part of moving forward? undecided
Maybe it is. But am talking here about the ability to being in control next time. Am talking about developing a very tough mental attitude through what will ordinarily make others break. Those days of yore, I remember developing how to torment people with kindness from my break up experiences. NB: If you want to make good of what am saying here, make sure in your relationships you are not at fault, make sure you give it your all, make sure you do not play unnecessary games. And very importantly, make sure you are the one that walks out on people and not people on you. If you were perfect in your dealings with your ex, even Jupiter will be on your side cos you know you did your best. And moving on would be easier, trust me.

Deleting your so called enemies contacts may seem good for the lily livered but from a philosophical standpoint it's not perfect. I actually admire folks who can still have your contacts 2 or more years later. Those type of people and such type of actions toughens you up on a higher level. This is a kinda weird reverse psychology, but believe you me this is very capable of making you mentally stronger. Talk of controlling your impulses to call at random and responding to other flippant emotions. By the way it's only easy to do if you walked out on the relationship due to no fault of yours and not the other way round. Facing your fears is the highest form of Systematic Desensitization!! It's the breeding ground for having your happiness being in your hands; it ushers you into the uncharted path of non chalance.grin cheesy
