Southern American States like Virginia and Tennessee can attest to this. Kunta Kinte of that famous biography Roots was from SeneGambia i.e. Modern day Gambia, precisely from Wolof tribe. His great great grandson Alex Harley authored the book Roots and they have a memorial building in Nashville, Tennessee. About 30% of blacks in Virginia/West Virginia or the Southerm US state as a whole have Igbo Ancestry.
