While the GW whatever can afford the service of a five star lawyer, can he afford that? Even if he can he shouldn’t waste it on a litigation that he knows very well many odds are against him. In court arguments are based on facts and points of law. Morally the pay is poor we all know but court don’t follow rules of morality but matter of fact and law. The more reason I believe arbitration is a better option for him like agreeing to share 50/50 all proceeds from his performance until the end of the contract while the coy still retains the right to market his music, videos and promotions for all they invested in him. masseratti: being of contractual age does not matters when a contract is inhumane, that said I or you shouldn't jump the gun because I don't know about you but I have not seen the copy of the contract, that said all is an investment and if there is something there that unnecessary tie him down or he is not happy about the contract should have an exit clause, anyway whatever it is if he feels he is justified he should go all the way with the litigation but if not he should settle. My own honest opinion is that, it's very difficult to invest in human skills, asking for 500m naira is pretty crazy, but the record company also invested expecting a return on investment so the two should battle it out in court to Supreme Court level for interpretation. |
Celebrities › Re: G-Worldwide And Kizz Daniel: Olisa Agbakoba Issues Notice To The Public by McTobe(m): 7:52pm On Oct 23, 2019 |
To me that does not make sense because he was of contractual age when the deal was signed, he was not coerced and the contract does not encourage him to do anything illegal and there are a few other considerations. In other words that contract must have been duelly sealed and is therefore enforceable. Morally we know that what they are paying him is poor but he is bound by what he signed. The best he can do is to use the service of a lawyer in the class of Agbakoba like Olu Falae or Ozekhome likes and go into arbitration. That’s all. If not he will just waste his money on appeals up to the Supreme Court. SHYLOCK’s POUND OF FLESH comes to mind with this case masseratti: Kiss should get a good lawyer..... You can't sign someone into slavery no matter what... With a good lawyer I will encourage him to go all the way to the Supreme Court... Its high time the court interpret what constitute a legal musical recording label contract. |

The so called GW Entertainment is big then, for them to have afforded the service of Olisa Agbakoba who is in a class with Olu Falae and a very handful few in the class of SAN. You know there are SAN and there are still SAN. Honestly, kizz Daniel should go for Plea bergain. |

I may not be a supporter of PMB’s approach to ruling but this is very serious abuse of privilege and shows that something is fundamentally wrong in that Villa. How can a private citizen video such thing inside the Villa with such a personality like the wife of the president and still have the balls to come out and say that she recorded the video and there are still more. Can you imagine? If she can have that balls to say such in a public radio then we may agree in totality that the President is not actually I’m control and there is more than meet the eyes in the happenstances in that Villa. Something is fundamentally wrong somewhere. kitaatita: I support the first lady 100%. She should be free to live without being encumbered by hired public servants and their family members. It is disrespectful of the Daura ladies to record the First Lady without her consent and circulate on social media. The Villa is a security zone. I don't even know if the recording is lawful. |

Thank you Sir, but I heard that once you are past 45years that you will be employed as a contract staff and may not make it as a professor since that position is for regular academic staff as against contract staff. Can you help to clarify for me? Mayflowa: No age limit in professorial consideration. Once you have a doctoral degree with research publication, you can join any university at any age. However, the retirement age as a professor is 70 years while other academic positions is 65 years |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Between A Multi National And Lecturing Job by McTobe(m): 11:48pm On Oct 10, 2019 |
Please sir, I am contacting you for clarification. What is the age limit beyond which one cannot be employed as a lecturer but only as a contract or adjunct lecturer in Nigerian Universities? Mayflowa: It is easier to leave a multinational job to academics than the reverse. The benefit of consulting comes mostly from job experience and contacts. I am a senior academics too but I will advise he goes to experience his discipline in the real world first before turning into academics. That way, he would be able to impart knowledge, consult and earn more.
The easiest gateway to academics is PhD certificate. This he can acquire alongside his multinational job on weekends or online. So the lecturing job is waiting for him if you planned well. However, some institutions will offer him leave of absence up to five years without pay if he applies to the Vice Chancellor that he is going for a job training and would be coming back to apply the knowledge gained for research and academics. He should check with the labour and training office division in his school for advice. He shouldn't present it like a permanent job anyway. That way, he could come back if he became tired of the multinational job. |

But I am sure that if APC give their 2023 ticket to a Northerner it will influence PDP to do the same omenka: PDP must stop its despicable maltreatment of the South Eastand reward them for their Exemplary hardwork and loyalty by ceding the party's presidential ticket to them in 2023.

Nice & Good advice, but don’t indulge your wife when she does something that is wrong find a subtle way to tell her but sometimes in real life you have to be as blunt as possible with a woman to let her know that she is doing something wrong. A lot also depends on how you started off with her. Altogether when you are angry as a man just SHUT YOUR MOUTH, If you can’t , TAKE SOME MINUTES WALK. By the time you are back you will be more sane to know the next line of action to take. |
