grafikdon:
smiley @MC USMAN, those names sound masculine except for larai and Kubura. Do you by any chance know the meaning of the two names (Larai, Kubura) and whether they are female, male or unisex, that is if I am not asking too much.
Names that are unisex are not very common in Hausa societies as in what is available in Yorubaland. Names are either masculine or otherwise.

As regrds thier meaning i can not authoritavely say they have no meaning. But to be frank i think they are just names just like any other name that has no meaning.

Kande
Turai
Larai
Yelwa
Kubura
Maimuna
Monsura
Yasira
Uwani
Shibu
Jamila
Hindatu

Many more are commonly used that are purely indeginous

@ MC,

But people don't really hear about him mostly, maybe I will say, I don't really hear about him outside nairaland really. But he is most popular man on Nairaland. , LOl,
People like that are normally soft spoken, introvert and natually recluse. Take Dangote for example, appears less in media, public functions, gives less interviews.

Nairaland GeneralRe: We Need An Impartial Moderator In Religion. by MCUsman(m): 12:50pm On May 01, 2008
nwando:
The religious forum needs an impartial moderator.
If we are to keep changing Moderators, the basic aims of appionting them in the first place is defeated because there is this lack of continunty. Once a moderator is change, the other group would start complaining necesitataing another change. I am of the candid opinion that the moderators should left alone to come to terms and understand the logic of porpurtionally statisfying each group.
