ositadima1: From my tiny experience , Zenith is unlikely to revisit 12 dis year or even next year. If you look at its ADX, Average directional index, it has been bouncing between 15 and under 25. It looks like some deep pockets are accumulating the stock. With lots of $$$ the best way to enter a position and maintain d cheap price is to buy slowly over several weeks. I believe once the deep pockets are true u will see serious movement to at least cover d gap of GTB. Seems you're really following the trend now. Deep pockets are accumulating, they dont mind putting higher offers to keep the price down as long as they're yet to get their fill...similar to what is happening in wapco. Zee will likely still close its gap with GTB. GTB will relax small at circa 25.......any extra on top na jara. ** This is barring any unforeseen circumstance anyway. |

ositadima1: True sir, it's hard to push 10 mil and above around. That is why I said buy one relatively cheap stock (Zenith for me) and keep for both appreciation and dividend purposes. Then, play JIJO with smaller cash like anything below 3 mil, as it would be relatively easy to dispose quickly. Again, I can't agree more! Not easy to push large fund around. Just my opinion anyway. |

lancee: Decided not to sell yester during the panic .. Based on the present result i believe the next 2 results will be fairly ok , if the pandemic slows down a bit more ,will leave most for the div next yr .. It goes down will buy lil by lil ..Maybe we fit see 12naira again
I hope this strategy go work for me It should work. It's a stock that can give mental stress to traders. Honestly, to me, Zenith should be kept mostly for dividend purpose if someone is not a trader or in need of cash from time to time. If it goes down you'll be topping it up....... |

Price fall stabilized. Some form of reversal sighted.......
* Zenith reversed from 16.05 early market dumping to 16.70/75 now. * GTB turned from red to green already.. * Bids building up in the FUA....
Just observation.... |

ositadima1: It appears one good way of profiting from the NSE is to be a trend follower........ Also do the following: 1. Follow d gurus here like OGG and Oracle and CP, BBM, Fxuser, Pa Emma.... to spot opportunities. 2. Have one stock u bought considerably low as a source of dividend. 3. Focus vs diversification. First point fixed. Can't agree more with these points, very good strategy in my opinion. |

It's there today as well with another 8M alongside, making 18M offers at bottom of the table. Hope those guys won't send Wapco to sub 11 before they'll be satisfied. |

ositadima1: If u be average investor, u go old or even die put while wating for ur investment to be large enough to yield such millions at 1.7% return. Dividend investors will not see it from your perspective. Must your investment be up to that? Using the CEOs as case study was just a way to drive home a point. If you're a dividend investor, you don't view it from just one declared dividend but you view it wholistically. Even with 200k investment, you can make something out over a period of years if you're in a good dividend paying stock and you're a dividend investor. |

BIGBANG007: KINGs... How do you guys do it... How do you guys settle for 0.50 kobo profit... How dose it feels holding a position as long as almost forever... The dividend at the end of the day, is it worth it... The fact that over 80% of our home based institutions are jokes, it somewhat baffles me that people still majorly buy this 0.90 kobo in earning and #10 loss stocks... Do you put in major funds or what..... IYGEAL: 50kobo profit can turn into hundreds of thousands, millions even; it depends on units. This is a game of numbers bro. I concur @IYGEAL . It's a game of numbers. ** In the recently announced Zenith interim dividends of 30kobo in Q2 2020, Jim Ovia will be pocketing N1.52B. ** Herbert Wigwe of Access: will pocket N379M with 25kobo interim dividend declared by Access. ** Tony Elumelu of UBA: will pocket N391M with 17kobo interim dividend declared by UBA. .......and so on.......... Moral of the lesson: There's possibility of those kobo kobos to translate to millions. |

nna777: I want to believe you are talking in terms of the drop in EPS. It was expected. Access was on the news sometimes this year for 2 issues it had.
Access is getting it right. By the time those who are waiting for it to be right enter, it will be trading in double digits as standard price. Not really about the EPS but about the coy's buy-buy in recent times, as well as the diamond acquisition. Access tried with the interim dividend.....wonder where banks get such kind of monies........acquired other coy's and still made that kind of profit. It's well. |
