Wow. Thanks alot ma'am.
You're welcome dear.
You know, we've been monitoring fbnh movmt since last week, its supposed to have been trading at N5 region by today but they kept dragging the price down, more reason I said you should wait too.
By the time its marked down tomorrow, it will be today's closing price minus the dividend, they might beat the price down a bit more, then it will be safe for you to enter for price appreciation.
That's my opinion anyway. smiley

Good morning
If I buy FBNH today being qualifying date for dividend will I get paid? A site suggested buying 3 days before qualifying date
I am a newbie sorry if my question is basic
You will get if you buy today but I will advice you dont buy it again. Some people got into the bus at below 4.
Look for other ones and if you must buy, buy after markdown, not saying tomorrow.

PS: This is my personal opinion. Also, Mr. Market has a mind of its own.

I am talking about revenue which is down q/q.
Profit is also down q/q.
Yes, they made some profit in the quarter against a loss in fy19 but you have to note that profit was made in q1 19 before everything disappeared by year end.
Thanks for the clarification.

I need some help. If I have submitted an e-div mandate for company AAA shares I purchased through broker ABC, do I need to submit a new mandate if I'm buying same company AAA stocks through another broker DEF?

Same CHN, same bank details. Just a different broker?
I don't think you have to submit another one since it's same registrar.
I really don't know much about this. Someone with similar experience should pls share or you can clarify from your broker.

Based on point 3 Firstregistras are the best in my opinion. I had first hand experience with them. Africaprudential on the other hand demanded for specimen through my brokers and therefore made it difficult for me to get my dividends, since I live far away at the moment.
Yes. Afriprud can frustrate customers. They always ask for Sig specimen. It got to a point my broker threatened to copy SEC in our correspondences cos we submitted all they requested and they're still delaying it, then they quickly did the needful. The only thing is that they have quite some good coys in their care.
First bank, Meristem and one other one I can't remember now did very well. No long stories. Just filled the forms, sent to them via mail and that was it.

*PLS NOTE*
@ositadima1 and any other newbies who's not yet aware, once your e-dividend forms are approved, my bosses always advice that you don't sell all the stocks, always leave like 10 -100 units in your trading acct, so your name will continue to be in their register.

Hi Mcy56, please can you give a summary of the requirements for e-dividend. I heard it requires a current account, is that true? Does it take very long to process? Do I need to repeat same process for each individual share? Do I have to present the form in person, or can I do it electronically?
1. Click this link to download the various Registrar's forms here:
https://sec.gov.ng/public-notice-the-e-dividend-mandate-activation-forms-of-various-registrars-are-now-available-for-download/

2. Current Account is not mandatory. Savings Acct is acceptable. Payments are made electronically.
3. No it doesnt take long process. Fill the form and submit to the registrar. It may somehow take some times where signature specimen is required but the registrar may not request for it. Contact your broker if you're asked for signature specimen.
3. One registrar may be in charge of more than one company, just tick all active coys active on each form.
4. If you are closer to the registrar, you may submit in person. You may also submit electronically via mail or thru your bank.
5. Note: Shareholder's number is not necessary, leave the columns blank. CHN is mandatory. Fill it on the forms.

** Answered to the best of my knowledge. Una go dey pay me for my time for Nsempa o. Lol. grin

I am talking of the last trip, according to him, the N10.7 trip he showed us a screenshot.
He said he has not jumped out since he entered...... grin grin grin
Wapco didn't reach 13 after release of result. It got to 12.90 and reversed back.
He jumped out before the 10.70. Think he mentioned it here.
By the way, Prof, why do you want him to confess? He will deny it if there's sanction o. Lol. grin

He need to do confession.
The day this stock struck N13, I told everyone who cared that Peter was looking through the window, who can remember.... grin grin grin
He left before result was released and jumped back after @10.70 according to him. By now, he must have exit again.
Prof seems you're mixing 2 or 3 trips together.........Peter, come and confess by yourself. cheesy

Closed period is from today till 24hrs after the board meeting on 29th April for Zenith...

Result should be out around 30th April thereabout...
OK. So release of result should be after the meeting?
Thanks, we are learning. That closed period used to confuse me a little. They release result before AGM when it's for Q4.

Please when is Zenith and Gtb likely to release their 1st quarter result? Considering past trend.
Closed period for Zenith is today 17th, it's just for 24 hours. Result may come out next week or this weekend self.
Could be the reason for the increased activities in the stock today.

In another news, Wapco is getting serious bashing.......Bomboclad you made the right decision.....this market can be somehow...

It will be unaudited reports, so there will be no need for CBN approval.
You only need approval for audited accounts.
Great! So anytime from now then.

I don't think those quarterly rests are subjected to CBN approval before release. The results will start flowing soon, and most of them should be out before the 1st of May.

Could be anytime from 1st week of May I think.
Zee already announced closed period. You know they have to submit to CBN for approval first, so it will take few weeks.

How can you spot cross deals?
** When you spotted unusual high volume stock moves.....e.g. sighting 30M, 50M 99M crossings, etc.
** When the units crossed are not on the bids/offers table or the quantities on table are smaller to quantity (ies) moved.
** When a particular stock is on full bid or full offer and there are crossings that doesn't reduce the total bids/offers on table.......etc.
Like that sha. grin

Yes.....but consider how many round trips Access did before UBA did one?
In my opinion, UBA should even be at par or even above Access in price but it keeps "answering" to Access. Lol. grin

Too slow to move, but it moves like bullet when it is high. Some people have made almost 10% in access today.
UBA used to be very slow and very reluctant to move, even when Access is moving. Don't know the issue with it.
Unlike Zee and GT, once GT move Zenith always shake body.
Now, GT dey go slow, so is Zee. Once it takes off Zee jumps up again. grin

Maybe I should just buy this FBNH with my spare cash and qualify for the dividends by Monday.
@Mcy, what do you think.
Since you said it's spare cash, you can buy it. Final decision is yours. grin

Alternatively, you may just look at other stock. Buying close to mark down date is not always advisable. What if Market Makers or deep pockets didnt move the price up before markdown?
Theres just no one way to all these things.
Follow your mind.
