There are some women in our society who have the best of western education, but not lucky in term of physical appearance. Their exposure makes them to always be on the lookout for ideal men. But the fact is that we men want at least 90% favorable physical appearance before any other thing.

In my church, 3 girls who the society thinks they should be married by now are sending very serious greenlights my way. What saddens me is that the three know that they are into a sort of competition to get my attention. I'm not that handsome. The problem is that they want a man that is religious, doing moderately well, and have not the appearance of a typical Yoruba demon. I'm not in a relationship and in my mind, I don't want any of them.

I'm a friend to three famous monikers on nairaland. I have met them offline. I like them and want the best for them, but I won't deceive you, they will need miracles to marry ideal men. All examples above are girls in their 30s.

How our society will solve this problem is what I don't understand.

It seems this is the latest trend now, every little boy has an opinion about unmarried ladies, judging their every moves as an inviting signal. And condemning them of having little or no chance of getting married.

It could be anything, but I'm more inclined to think that it is some form of fungal infection as it looks like the skin is drying up. Take her to a good teaching hospital to see a dermatologist who will run some tests to be sure it's not a systemic infection.

You're right, a simple Google search of yeast/ fungus foot infection will bring up similar pictures like that of the op's mom.
The problem is that Nigerian doctors are very very incompetent, (Quack) doctors most of em. All they know how to do is to prescribe antibiotics for any ailment they don't understand.
I suffered from the same fungus infection (ear infection) for over two years.... I went regularly to the National ear care centre in Kaduna. I only end up wasting my money and time. The antibiotics they prescribed for me only worsen the infection and almost made me deaf.
I have take a bold step to stop all the medication and self diagnose myself online , with the help of a fungus online forum.

You re in Lagos, you can get all those stuff in any beverage shop around your locality. Hydrogen peroxide you can get it in any pharmacy.
For hydrogen, mix it with water, inside a bucket. And let her dip her legs into it for some minutes, before bringing it out to dry.
Try doing it for morning and evening. You can also apply apple cider vinegar or white vinegar directly on affected. She will definitely see improvement. But fungus takes a very long time to heal completely.
Advice her to eat food/fruits that improves the immune system(bitter lemon) as constantly taking antibiotics do weakens the immune system, thereby allowing the fungus to spread rapidly. swallowing raw garlic or garlic capsules do helps alot in fighting stubborn fungus. Along with either applying coconut oil or garlic oil on the yeast infected.

Op, you have the internet on your hands, please do some thorough research and search for remedies to help your mom. There are number of medical sites and youtube.com videos that profer home made remedies for this symptoms your mom is suffering from. As I said earlier, let her stop the antibiotics immediately, it only weakens your immune system on the long run and enable the yeast infection to spread faster all over the body. I have been there before, so I know.

She fell and injured her leg last year. The injury healed but afterwards the leg started decaying now it has spread to the other leg in the same position.
The doctors at the general hospital has run series of tests including diabetes which they confirmed her blood sugar is okay.
We haven't seen anything like this before.
