Sports / Re: Checkout The Award Given To The Man of The Match ( Hilarious Photo) by MeandSum: 1:14am On Nov 07, 2015 |
This was on the front page a few weeks ago. what changed? Talking about shoes, has anybody heard the story of African politicians giving one shoe to voters and the second leg half of the shoe on election day after voting? The reason I asked is that a few weeks ago, a national TV here in Ukraine broadcast a segment on election. Part of that program was on how politicians try to buy votes. from the video used, I suspect it was somewhere in Southern Africa - not sure. |

blueto: You really have a problem with words. The people you thought decipher what you were saying actually thought you were writing a comedy sketch. "absquatulate" "calumniating infractions" "its discombobulating" nobody uses those words. Not because they are not smart enough but because it is useless. Communication means when you speak, people should understand you without having to guess what you mean. I'm not a betting man but I'll see your $1 and raise you $2 for those words. How about we do this: Let's pick a prime time newscaster in the US or UK and let's monitor those 3 words for a week starting on Monday. I'll donate $2 to red cross or red crescent (whichever you prefer) for each time those words are used in those formats. Nobody speaks like that except the local a$$#ole trying to invite the local sexworker out on a date. I'm sure you're not one of those. Must you turn to pseudo-latinism just to show us you have a dictionary? 1 Like |

Earthkumy: So, your God is now taking side? Just a quick reminder please - south south is not part of your Biafra republic. Let's get that out of the road fast. As for me, I'm all for the actualization of your fraudulent republic(south east states). And when that happens, we should deport every Igbo man back to Biafra and build a giant 6 meter fence around your land. I'm sure your elders would find a way to re-dig their LongJuju routes to sell more slaves. only the Igbos claim they're the best in the world at every corner. That's why everyone hates you wherever you go - Ghana or South Africa. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

bigwallace: Tell your cousin he's a lying $#ithead! I'm not sure which type of mutation he has that would help him as a 25 year old, pass as a 16 year old boy. At 22, he could be playing for one of the local clubs if he's that good like he claimed. They have no age restriction. Do they? 1 Like |

banio: I can understand why you are confused though. Just remember this: there are 24 hours in a day. Half of it is in AM and the other half is PM. That's why a broken clock is always correct twice a day. Once in am, and again in PM. 1AM/PM, 2AM/PM, 3AM/PM, 4AM/PM,5AM/PM,6AM/PM,7AM/PM,8AM/PM,9AM/PM,10AM/PM,11AM/PM, 12AM/PM. it's that easy to remember. 1 Like |

attention007: how do you think they discipline kids in school? by flogging them? In Ukraine, you'll have a very hard time expelling even the most hyperactive pupil talkless of disciplining them. All the teacher does is call their parents to school like every other day... when no result, the teacher can extend their time in school for about 30-45 minutes under the pretext of re-explaining the subject he/she missed while misbehaving. It get's really boring for the parent and pupil soon enough. |

I guess you'll understand and bless them. It is not about being rich or poor. Your existence is not dependent on you listing to that music. So you have a choice. |

CandyBar: That's exactly why you should find a better way to bring up your kids than beating them. can you imagine if you're beating your kids now and then 40 years down the line you need their help. What would you threaten them with. cane? what they'll remember is the love you gave them... not the beating. unconditional love between parents and their kids is a far more lasting relationship than that based on fear. Create a boundary and let them know what happens when they get out of it and why it is bad for everyone. It would work 95% of the time. 2 Likes |

preciousMI1: Since you're an educator, let me ask you some questions. 1) Do you have kids of your own? If yes, how often do you flog them? 2) which class do you teach? 3) how close are you to your students? There's more power in caring about a student (even if you only pretend to) than holding the cane over them. The concern of disappointing someone is far more effective than the fear of punishment from my experience. 1 Like |

Excellentmind: Get your facts straight first, then you can bend them whichever way you like. Nowhere in the bible would you find that statement! Nowhere. If you insist it is from the bible, then, give me the translation you're using. You'll not find anything close to "spare the rod and spoil the child". What you're trying to ascribe to the bible was written one thousand seven hundred years after the last book of the bible was written or fabricated. 2 Likes |

ZUBY77: Not sure which books you've authored... parenting is not one of them for sure. So, keep your BS to yourself. OK? flogging achieves absolutely nothing! it creates fear, understandably. But that's it. There are millions of ways to bring up or teach a child without beating. 6 Likes |

agabaI23: What does beating a child and teaching him have in common? it's barbaric at best. If beating works, Africa would be number 1 in all subjects and all new inventions would be coming out of that continent. But we're seeing the exact opposite. Do you have children? how often do you beat them? 6 Likes |

Djblinkz: Please, avoid doing anything that would get you arrested. Not worth it at all! Vengeance, only look good for a moment and then, regret sets in. Good to say you'll regret it the rest of your life even if not caught in the act. Beside, that would still not pay your salary now. would it? The best option is to negotiate their products at a very very steep discount price as payment for your past salary. You said they manufacture Noodles? your natural market place would be university hostels if you have the patience to wait for a higher payout. for quick buck, talk to a store owner near you... give them a few "sample" and explain the situation. Don't accept their first offer, tell them you're talking to a few stores and you want to see what the others can offer. You may even end up making more than your salary. 1 Like |
