Politics › Re: "Blame Northern-Nigeria Muslim Elites For Boko Haram" - Bishop Matthew Kukah by meccuno: 12:40pm On Nov 30, 2015
tplacid:
I can understand If he says northenr elite created boko haram directly or indirectly.

But it's not acceptable if he says bh are Muslims and its quite simple.

Being a Muslim means you submit to the will of Allah and not that of man, hence it follows that you should not kill any innocent soul, 'he that kills a man is like he has killed the whole of humanity, he that saves a man is like he has saved the whole of humanity - Qu'ran

I can't convince anybody that Islam is a peaceful religion, but it's everyone's responsibility to differentiente between what's good and what's bad.

Adolf hitler killed millions of people I don't see anyone calling Christianity a terrorist religion.

Millions of people died during the slave trade that was carried out by British and American But we Muslims no Jesus doesn't stand for oppression

Lastly, most of these clerics that condemn the actions of terrorist that hide under the umbrella of religion never condemn the obvious terrorist act of Israel against Palestinians...it's so bad that most Christian display the flag of Israel on cars, in their house just to show surpport for a nation that invaded another nation unlawfully.

If you condemn BH, ISIS etc you support you Israel then know that someday the world will end and trust me the true one God will judge you accordingly.

Libya, Palentian, Iraq, Afghanistan and so many other Muslims countries and unstable because of the actions of terrorist yet people still think Muslims are terrorist

How can you be the killer and the victim at the same time.

I just hate when people are too sentimental.
adolph hitler never fought a single war because of religion......he was a white supremacist.......israel were living in the land of israel for many centuries. So I wonder what you meant by the israelis invading their own land........if you actually equate the atrocities of ISIS,Boko Haram with the state of israel then its obvious you are a concentrated muslim and you are obviously ignorant about who a terrorist is and what a legitimate country is composed of......I have many muslims friends who are northerners and many of them speak the way you have just written.....the difference between those arab countries and the North is that they have oil, and they don't operate democracy.....islam is a problem to those who they have cause untold hardship to through death of relatives through suicide attacks......if a christian commits the act of terrorism in the name of jesus, then he would be labelled as such......a terrorist.....the only known group who I can recollect that fought for christianity are the crusaders.........please,if u actually love your religion, you don't defend it when its so glaring Þhat it has messed up so many countries......thanks

Nigeria is only slightly bigger than Texas in the U.S and Texas isn't the biggest state in US, Alaska is. So saying Nigeria should divide because it's too big makes little sense.

The clamour for biafra is starting to make waves, but as long as that's where Nigeria's income comes from, it would be a difficult decision to split. Hell, why do you think biafrans themselves want biafra?
texas is bigger than Nigeria sir.......Nigeria Is almost the Same Size with California...........

‘Having said that, this nation must realise that Igbos have more than paid for their foolishness. They have been defeated in war, rendered paupers by monetary policy fiat, their properties declared abandoned and confiscated, kept out of strategic public sector appointments and deprived of public services. The rest of the country forced them to remain in Nigeria and has continued to deny them equity.
The Northern Bourgeoisie and the Yoruba Bourgeoisie have conspired to keep the Igbo out of the scheme of things. In the recent transition when the Igbo solidly supported the PDP in the hope of an Ekwueme presidency, the North and South-West treated this as a Biafra agenda. Every rule set for the primaries, every gentleman´s agreement was set aside to ensure that Obasanjo, not Ekwueme emerged as the candidate. Things went as far as getting the Federal Government to hurriedly gazette a pardon. Now, with this government, the marginalistion of the Igbo is more complete than ever before. The Igbos have taken all these quietly because, they reason, they brought it upon themselves. But the nation is sitting on a time-bomb.
After the First World War, the victors treated Germany with the same contempt Nigeria is treating Igbos. Two decades later, there was a Second World War, far costlier than the first. Germany was again defeated, but this time, they won a more honourable peace.
Our present political leaders have no sense of History. There is a new Igbo man, who was not born in 1966 and neither knows nor cares about Nzeogwu and Ojukwu. There are Igbo men on the street who were never Biafrans. They were born Nigerians, are Nigerians, but suffer because of actions of earlier generations. They will soon decide that it is better to fight their own war, and may be find an honourable peace, than to remain in this contemptible state in perpetuity.
The Northern Bourgeoisie and the Yoruba Bourgeoisie have exacted their pound of flesh from the Igbos. For one Sardauna, one Tafawa Balewa, one Akintola and one Okotie-Eboh, hundreds of thousands have died and suffered.
If this issue is not addressed immediately, no conference will solve Nigeria´s problems’’.

IGBOSON1:
^^^You see! This is exactly the grin-and- bare-it kinda attitude i don't like amongst our people! You also see it with those 'one Nigeria' freaks of Igbo origin who will tell you to ignore the political/economic configuration of the Nigerian polity, and instead look to our Governors and LGA Chairmen to deliver the goods and lead us to Uhuru!

These peeps don't know that with an all-powerful and all-controlling center, a bigoted Igbo-hating top public servant or politician sitting in Abuja can -with one stroke of the pen- scuttle the plans and years of hard work of all those Igbo-owned businesses you listed up there; and this has been done before so no one should accuse me of paranoia!

Another downside to this negative attitude is that it's quite possible that a xenophobe not willing to see Ndigbo progress faster than his own ethnic group will put policies in place or engage in underhand covert activities to hold those Igbo- owned businesses back so he can prop up the ones from his own region till they manage to catch up!

Yet another negative to this 'ignore-everyone-else-and-look-inwards' attitude is that resources that otherwise could be used to develop Alaigbo now has to shared with the very wicked people that hate our guts; leaving us a miserly 13% to play with! And this is when they've not conspired to slice off resource-rich parts of Alaigbo with surgical precision to place in neighbouring states and managed by non-Igbos, while they work on getting those Igbo they've cut adrift to deny their roots and ethnicity!

Those Igbo state govt's further have their hands tied by policies and the constitution which forbids them from taking control of their own destiny.....esp' with regard to mineral exploitation; aviation; highways; sea and river port investments; policing; etc! It's done this way so no region/zone in the country would have a runaway economic success and thus show up another region/zone for the deadweight it actually is! Not to also mention the fact that with the status-quo the way it presently is, a few govt enabled billionaires and oligarchs can maintain a firm grasp on the resources of others!
this is exactly what I tell those who care to listen.......Nigeria can never be great with this current aRrangement..........we need to restructure and that's the hard truth.......

My utterance is not a hate speech bro! Nigeria is not a confederation, how can you demand secession! The amalgamation of Nigeria (northern and southern protectorate) in 1914 by Lord lugard was not on the basis of two nations coming together, it was more like two regions coming together so even if a referendum be passed and Igbo's vote overwhelmingly in support of secession, if Hausa's and Yoruba's don't support, the referendum is null and void. some cite the example of Sudan breaking into North and South as an example that a country can break easily, the fact is this, south and northern Sudan has been plagued in deadly conflict against each other for years even uptil now, Biafra can't claim west or north are at war against it, there's no proof for that. There are several reasons why its best you stay. You guys can't prove it that you are entitled to a secession other than opening a radio station and be hurling all sorts of insults and expletives on the nation Nigeria and its citizens of which you are among whether you like it or not. The so called leader of Biafra is in jail in the zoo as we speak. what an irony! I wish you well in your agitations though.
what a weak argument.......so we as africans and humans cannot use our God given brains to free our selves from the shackles of colonialism? This arrangement doesn't suit the igbos because they have been relegated to the background and treated like conquered people.........if the Nigerian State had implemented the 3Rs, I doubt if the masses of the SE region who have been bearing the brunt of being marginalised and forced to move at the pace of the North........I doubt you really understand what it means to be an Igbo man..........why have a Nation when you are constantly reminded of how u lost a war and genocide and chaos done to you when you complain about injustice and bias........?? I laugh @ people who think this is a joke........what you are seeing is bottled up anger over the years......I might not support secession, but I would be the last person to openly criticise my own people.......I think addressing this issue is very simple......it would only affect the majority of hausas and yorubas who are enjoying Nigeria is this bad state.........Nigeria would never make progress when our foundation is run on tribalism, nepotism, religious extremism. Corruption............justice and fair play is what Nigeria needs and I doubt if we can achieve that......show me one black dominated country in the world that is a developed country and I will show you a picture of God......

But who even cares? How does it matter? You belittle the legacies of every great man when you compare him to another

3MCDO suffered minimal casualty before Operation OAU(Owerri, Aba, Umuahia). It was a mission hinged on Adekunle's over bloated ego after the spectular success his division recorded in chasing the biafran occupiers away from the Niger Delta areas. It was not part of the 3MCDO's initial battle plan. Adekunle ordered the Operation as an October 1st 1968 independence gift to General Gowon

Britain and USSR supported Nigeria, so also did France, Portugal, South Africa, Haiti, Zambia, Gabon, Tanzania, Ivory Coast support Biafra
there is a difference between recognition and support.......I usually don't get into these kind of arguments, but the truth be told......the support militarily that Nigeria got from britain and russia was helpful to say the least......the biafrans got zero help and even if they did, was very insignificant.....the amunitions where rationed among soldiers if you actually read anything about the war because I believe you where not born then.......so listing all those countries to make the list plenty doesn't help your cause only for those who are ignorant.......south african mecenaries came to train the soldiers in guerilla warfare because most of the senior officers where not taught these things in sandhurst which was an elite military college coupled with the fact that these SA soldiers had fought the british before so they were enemies.......some times its better to learn than to argue so that people would assume you won the argument.....
