Politics › Re: Ndokis Are Ijaws...fact! by meccuno: 2:09pm On Oct 27, 2015
Observant:
Strangers misconceptions of the igbo people in the niger-delta region/South-South region.

There is the horrible misconception by people who know very little to nothing about the igbo groups in these regions. (Namely The Etche, Ekpeye, Ndoki, Adoni, Ikwerre etc)
I am an igbo man from enugwu-ukwu( The name of Our land) in anambra state, we call ourseleves "ENUGWU" when we want to feel proud or when we interact with other igbo people. This is the same for the Arondi-izuogu(The name of there land) poeple of IMO state who called themselves "IZUOGU", same as the Onitcha man who would sometimes call himself "NWA ONYE ONITCHA" and called you "NWA ONYE IGBO".
As you can see, every igbo man comes from a group like the ones from the niger-delta region but we all know we are Igbo people.

The people who are at the forefront of this divide and rule scheme in this country are seriously trying there best to tell these Niger delta region group igbo that they are not igbos thereby trying to convert the names they call there gruop to there tribe or worse cases distort there history. Thats why you hear thngs like Ndoki is not igbo, Does it mean that ndoki is now a tribe?
This is exactly what was sold to the Ikwerres whom there brother Nkwerre are comfortably seated in IMO state as regular Igbo people but them the ikwerres (though a large number still know they are igbo people) now want to be identified as a tribe.
This also unrelated to the fact that they want to be attached to (Our OYEL) with no baggage of the entire Igbo race.

To this stranger and miscreants if i wake up tomorrow and decide to be called "Enugwu", then i cease to be igbo. (How convienent especially when there is OUR OYEL to scream from the roof tops.)

On the Issue of Biafra, it is very obviuos that the country our forefathers fought for in the 60s comprising of different ethnic groups Igbo,Izon, Ibibio, Efik, Annang, Itsekiri, Isoko, Urhobo, etc will as at today not work as one united country, this might be bitter but sadly true but look at it from the bright side, no one wants a mini Nigeria and more especially with people hardwired to (OUR OYEL).
Nigeria is a fraudulent creation no doubt and any reasonable person would want to opt out of this union and the only way i see it happening is by mutual understand of the tribes that make up Biafra. A mutual understand to pull out of Nigeria the way we were before the marriage then categorically state that

1.) Every tribe shall go there separate ways at the actualization of the struggle.
2.) Every "Proudly" Igbo group who wishes to join The republic of Igboland shall do so with there people and there Lands.

3.) If other tribe namely (Izon, Ibibio, Efik, Annang, Itsekiri, Isoko, Urhobo) wishes to form ther own country (which i consider another nigeria but really it isn't my business), they can do so.

4.) Clear boundaries most the discussed and be a major priority.

In the absence of this understanding, then i urge my people to drop the biafra ambition which would probably be sabotaged again and join the Hause-Fulani and Yorubas in this game of thrones called Nigeria, we clear have the numbers to play but waste in on sentiments.
very deep Post.....this is exactly what I tell most of my igbo peeps......we lost three million souls to the war which still cries out for justice and vengeance.......I believed in the biafra ojukwu wanted to create but he got so many things wrong.....e.g Not Allowing Russia Arms supply because he wanted a black Nation completely cut off from colonial attachment......we paid dearly for that mistake.....He had a master degree in history so I believe he knew what he was doing............the igbos should understand one thing, if we hadn't fought the war in 67, a much more horrible war would have been fought around late or mid 70s.....Þhe signs where there and it started in the early 40s........the war was just the avenue they needed to show and vent their frustrations on the igbo people..........if I was allowed, a seperate country would have been a good bet for the igbos, but not just yet........we need to be patient and calculative...wasting lives isn't the best......every igbo man is very important........as u said, play Nigeria like the game of thrones........we cannot Achieve what we want in this method.......patience is a virtue

The Problem Of Having These Communities In But SS And SE was Actually The Plan Of The Gowons Regime To Completely Break The Hand And Strength Of The Igbos...........These Communities Are Igbo Communities......For Someone Who Comes And Says Other Wise Is Just Plain foolishness........and Ignorance........as someone said, because some yoruba communities. Where carved into kogi state doesn't make them less yoruba......sometimes I wonder who actually does these creation of states without proper consultation to the host communities.......nothing connects an Igbo man and an Ijaw man........why put them in the same state?

I have repeatedly stated this as well most especially when I see Nigerians talk down on South Africa.

If South Africa should stop developing today Nigeria with the rate n governs we have will not catch in a thousand year.

OP you claim you have been to Europe please name a country that is more beautiful than the places you visited in South Africa.

I bet to say there is none. South Africa is country where tarred roads are built to doors of each houses unlike Nigeria that is struggling to build n maintain highways.

I told someone dem no de park shit for SA, the drainage don't smell, you can't even see any. Sewage system is already in place.

OP if you are in doubt of any country in Europe being more beautiful visit Cape Town, water front especially to dispel such believes.

I have never been to the USA but no country in Europe is beta developed than SA. They have functional speed training running from Pretoria to Jo'burg, they have the normal rail.

The airport not so pretty but none can not be compared to those in Nigeria in terms of efficiency. Nigerians make una listen n listen good South Africa n Nigeria no be mate n would never be not in this life except the White do us the favour they did to them.

50 billion Fashola and Akpabios join together can not turn Nigeria to South Africa if they are given a million year. We are talking about your best ever performing governors from APC n PDP.

If any Nigeria care to now every / any where in Capetown is as neat as any Nigeria sitting or living room and am talking about outdoors roads. You'd drive through out the length n breath of South Africa without a single pothole that is as big as the size of an iPad. I never saw one n believe that is the worse you can ever come across.

I have driven with friends from Pretoria to Durban no single pothole about 4 hrs drive, frim Brakenville to Cape Town not a single pothole, from Jo'burg to Pretoria etc
guy calm down na.........the embarrassment is getting too much.......I saw a documentary of SA in the 1920s and they where already a developing Nation, while Nigerians where still swinging on trees......

Well, I believe that these igbo business men are one of the most rugged and aggressive people who go all out to see that whatever they lay their hands on becomes a success.....kudos to them......I believe that the men from the east have the largest pool of middle class business men and many who are ontop of the "food chain" in the business world. I have observed that many of these men do no spend enough money on marketing, re branding, research and development in areas that require expertise in engineering and basically, in most goods manufactured in Nigeria. Very few people know what innosson is all about. One thing with business men from the east and others who have things to offer do not make out time to show what they have to offer through proper adverts and marketing. They should also consider that the world is moving very fast that the competition is so fierce so they need to start thinking about capturing the local market, upgrade existing infrastructure with what they offer and lower cost.........either way, they buyer of quality won't ask you why urs is of low quality or why its so expensive.....he would simply move to the foreign equivalent........Nigerian Business men are really trying kudos to them all.....but a lot of work needs to be done.....

1. Hypocrisy is when you hang Stella  Odua for buying 2 Bullet proof cars at  an excess of N100 million ($625,000) and Praise Fashola for using  N139 million ($870,000) for the digging of two boreholes.

2.Hypocrisy is when you abuse your brother for supporting Akpabio while you Openly celebrate Rotimi Amaechi ,a man accused of the same crime

3.Hypocrisy is when you want and advocate for the Rivers and Akwa Ibom RECs to be prosecuted while keeping mute at the Yobe REC whose receipt  of gratification is well documented.

4.Hypocrisy is when you insulted the army and called them names during the Jonathan Era and suddenly become the spokesman of the army when your brother takes over power.

5.Hypocrisy is when you celebrate every bomb blast under the previous administration and expect those who know your antecedents not to X-ray your current Psuedo-Patriotism

6. Hypocrisy is when you describe then  presidents visit to Chad as a trip  to plan more attacks on civilians  and your mentor suddenly visit Chad for the same reason and you suddenly see it as an act of good neighbourliness

7.Hypocrisy is when you describe  the former regimes attempt at seeking regional  help to fight insecurity as shameful only to seek same help 72hrs hours after taking office.

8.Hypocrisy is when you Promise young people #5000 monthly and feeding for  School children only to blame an "empty" treasury with over 3 Billion dollars in excess NLNG payment as being responsible for your inability to keep a simple promise

9.Hypocrisy is when you describe Nyanya as a15 Minutes drive to Eagle square during the previous regime only to describe same Nyanya as a very far community because government has changed!

10.Hypocrisy is when you describe the unfortunate chibok kidnap as the most important issue the previous regime must tackle  only to describe same issue as a distraction 30 days later because your man is now in-charge

11.Hypocrisy is when you hail Lai Mohammed for saying APC never promised to feed school children or pay anybody five thousand naira and you blame Olisa Metuh for saying APC is scam

12.Hypocrisy is when you hail Fashola for saying he never signed the cheques for the 78 million naira website and hang Akpabio for  saying he never signed cheques as governor.

13.Hypocrisy is when you declare Amaechi, Fashola, Tinubu, and Kwankwaso innocent until proven guilty and declare Jonathan, Dezeani, and Akpabio guilty until Proven innocent.

14.  Hypocrisy is when you condemn a man accused of stealing before he is tried  and ask for empirical evidence when your party man is caught in the act.

15. Hypocrisy is when a media house goes in desperate search, sniffing  for news of bomb blast as front page news during the previous administration  only to for the same media outlet to place a blanket  ban on reports involving Bombs because their "mugu" is in-charge

While not standing surety for anyone accused of corruption  we must as a nation reject this hypocritical double standard  by ensuring that anyone accused of fleecing the nation either directly or indirectly  receive the same treatment irrespective of their political party or religious affiliation

May God Continue to Bless Nigeria and Nigerians. Shalom .

I am proudly omo odua from osun but I am presently
living in the north,
An average Igbo being is arrogant, full of empty pride and
ego but as a psychologist I understand and live with
them but respond with fire when they cross my red line.
to be honest the eze ndi-igbo messed up in akure
incidence instead of him to respect the oba and lay low
for a while and pull strings while at it, he decided to turn
the deji of akure's levity to stupidity and the youths
decided to protect their culture/heritage their tradition
but instead of e-igbo warriors to correct their brothers
they seem to have deliberately, blindly toed the eze's
path.
The fact that you spit on a Yoruba man 7 times and he
did not react does not mean he is weak, we are peace
loving people but I can promise you one thing fear is not
in our dictionary but my Igbo brothers will see every calm
reaction as trait of weakness that's a wrong notion.
secondly the Igbo community pounced so hard on oba
akiolu during the last election I keenly followed and even
apologised on behalf of the oba, its not cause we are
weak it cause we are peaceful in nature need I remind
you no Yoruba man living and working in Onitsha will
insult the obi of Onitsha and go scot free but you Igbos
have such leverage why try to use is against us in Yoruba
land??
now the akure youths having observed you people are
rude kids that needs to be flogged to their right senses
you Igbos now play victims,
please to avoid another flogging... respect the Yoruba
culture, obas and laws then you will have nothing to
worry about,
cause now the igbos are painting a bad picture of them
on Yoruba minds. don't let other Yoruba's react ohh.
just an advice. God bless Nigeria.
wtf are you saying? The oba of lagos is not bigger than any other tribe.....his jurisdiction ends in lagos.....especially lagos island....what he did was insulting a whole tribe.......what he got was what he bargained for.......even as an oba, he should accord everybody with respect so that it would be accorded to him.......if obi of onistha who the yorubas always call, messes up, you accord him how he relates with you.......after all, tinubu abused all the obas in yo®Ùba land and u didn't kill him.....please let§ hear word

Authorities of the Nigerian Army have raised the alarm that
the sovereignity of the country is being threatened.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Yusuf
Buratai, in message to troops fighting Boko Haram in the
North East, declared that “the next few days will be crucial
to Operation Lafiya Dole. It is also crucial to our country
Nigeria. Our sovereignty as a nation is threatened.”
The full text of Lt-Gen Buratai’s statement reads:
“The next few days will be crucial to Op Lafiya Dole. It is
also crucial to our country Nigeria. Our sovereignty as a
nation is threatened. The Nigerian Army and indeed the
military as the symbol of our nationhood is being
challenged.
“Our ability to stand and defeat the Boko Haram terrorists in
the next few weeks will determine the future of our country.
We cannot afford to lose the fight.
“We are better trained and better equipped. The whole
nation is behind us. Mr President is with us. Let us remain
steadfast in this noble cause.
“Be courageous. We must degrade and defeat the terrorists.
This job must be done. We must make our country men and

Blasts: Dozens dead as Maiduguri mosque targeted
And also on Friday, at least 39 people died after multiple
explosions in Maiduguri, an emergency official said.
Three female suicide bombers, thought to be aged between
11 and 15, struck on Friday morning, an official with the
National Emergency Management Agency told BBC Hausa.
The blasts followed bomb attacks on a mosque on
Thursday which killed at least 32.
No group has yet said it was behind the attack during
Thursday’s evening prayers that also left many people
injured.
The explosions caused parts of the mosque to collapse,
leading to further injuries.
Military spokesman Sani Kukasheka Usman told the BBC’s
Newsday programme that Boko Haram was resorting to
suicide attacks because “they have been degraded to the
extent that they can no longer fight collectively”.
