But you forgot to include the final part where Ojukwu had said "in war even the grass will fight", before he turned tail and ran away some months later to Ivory Coast under the cover of darkness at Uli airstrip, deserting the suffering and gallant people who had fought under him, and leaving his second-in-command to announce the surrender of the Biafran forces.
