JEWELofHELL:
What would life be as a minority in Kanu’s Biafra? - Reno Omokri | Vanguard.

But my experience with Mr. Kanu’s supporters made me have a rethink. With the way they treat him as though he is infallible, could it not be more likely that there was nobody within the organisation bold enough to advise Mr. Kanu not to travel to Kenya, because to do so, or to counter him in any way, would have brought upon such a person weighty consequences.

On further introspection, I began to cast my mind to statements Nnamdi Kanu had made in his many broadcasts which I only watched just yesterday.

How did I miss these broadcasts? Have I been too focused on Buhari to the extent that I was blindsided? Is this the fellow I have been defending?

On further introspection, I began to cast my mind to statements Nnamdi Kanu had made in his many broadcasts which I only watched just yesterday.

How did I miss these broadcasts? Have I been too focused on Buhari to the extent that I was blindsided? Is this the fellow I have been defending?

Recently, my perspective on Nigeria changed. I have never supported any separatist or secessionist agenda. However, I have supported and defended the right of any Nigerian to express himself and associate freely. It does not matter to me where such a person comes from.

When the Buhari administration moved against Ibrahim Zakzaky and the Shiites, I was the first person (not one of the first) to defend them. After defending them publicly myself, I called the then President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, and begged him to issue a statement calling for an end to the killings of Shiites. He told me that though it was an Islamic affair, nevertheless, because of his fondness for me, he would speak in support, and he did.

I have similarly championed the causes of oppressed persons or people from every part of Nigeria. As much as is humanly possible, I have refused to be partial in my advocacy.

In the last three years, I have visited 40 nations on my own dime and time, for the cause of #FreeLeahSharibu, seeking freedom for a Christian girl from Borno. I have not collected a dime from anyone and of anyone knows anyone who has given me a penny, then they should publicly expose me.

Before Nnamdi Kanu was arrested, I did not know who he was. I just defended his right to freedom of expression and association. Various Igbo leaders called me privately to thank me. It would be wrong to mention their names, because of the challenges of the moment.

When Kanu was rearrested, I called a British government official and got the facts. I was the first (not one of the first. The first) to reveal that he was arrested in Kenya, and not in The UK. After I released this information, the media ran with it.

Yesterday, a former Presidential candidate sent me a tape of Nnamdi Kanu dissolving the UK branch of IPOB and tongue lashing the members of IPOB UK. He told them to hand over IPOB money in their possession. He then said that he suspected that the British Secret service was running IPOB UK.

I was shocked and refused to believe what I heard, until this ex Presidential candidate from the South pointed me to an IPOB channel where this same audio was broadcast.

So I published it on my page. I did not add or edit or alter the voice. I released it as is.

Given that that broadcast was released earlier this year (I was told it was first broadcast in March if 2021, though I am not 100% sure) and Nnamdi Kanu was arrested so soon after (in June), I asked if that altercation could have led to Kanu being betrayed by his members in the UK.

The result was that various persons, who claimed to be members of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra descended on my page and insulted me, attacked me and accused me of collecting money from Buhari. (Would Buhari even give me money? If Buhari will give me anything, it is more likely to be a letter bomb).

They said Nnamdi Kanu can insult anyone he liked and I should leave him alone.

A certain Northerner, who has been on my page attacking me for what he had previously called my “love for the Igbo”, now asked a question. He said ‘so you people have forgotten when this man was fighting for you so soon’?

And so I went into deep thought.

If Nnamdi Kanu eventually gets Biafra and I am a minority in that Biafra, what would be my fate? Would I be able to express myself? Would I have the freedoms for which I myself have been fighting for Nnamdi Kanu to get for the last five years? Would I be able to hold sensitive positions?

I am not Yoruba, but because of me, these members of IPOB insulted the Yoruba (why do people always think I am Yoruba?). I was called ‘ewu Yoruba’. Somebody even threatened to kill me if I ever stepped into Onitsha (the same Onitsha where I donated money and raised millions for victims of the 2019 Onitsha Market Fire?).

These people in their hundreds descended on me with a consistent refrain, tthat Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the supreme leader of the Igbos and he could insult his members if he chose and no one could question him.

And that prompted a paradigm shift in my consciousness. If you have been following the dailies, you would have read one or two stories planted by the Buhari administration in the papers of how they have been tracing Kanu and monitoring his movements for two years.

The stories claimed that they were able to get to him through members of the Eastern Security Network that they had captured. Then a few days ago, they released a video testimony of one captured ESN member, by name Emeoyiri Uzorma Benjamin, that has now gone viral, in which the young man claimed that Kanu had given them instructions to kill policemen and soldiers, as well as their fellow Igbos.

He sensationally claimed that Kanu instructed them to bury one of his lieutenants, Nwaokike Kayinayo Andy, AKA Ikonso with 2000 human heads. Even more sensationally, he alleged that Mr. Kanu gave directives to them to kill young girls, who they used for fetish charms.

Now, it is not possible to say it this fellow is telling the truth, or half truths or lies. However, from his testimony, or account of the inside workings of IPOB/ESN, and the broadcasts which I listened to, and which is also available on some IPOB social media accounts, we see that Nnamdi Kanu had almost total authority over IPOB.

All this time, I was thinking that, though Nnamdi Kanu showed extreme indiscretion by going to a country like Kenya, which is notorious for extrajudicially extraditing people to regimes seeking them (the Turkish government did exactly the same thing the Nigerian government did with Kanu to Selahaddin Gulen, a Turkish dissident that was captured by Turkey’s intelligence from Nairobi. In that instance, Kenya first denied complicity, then promised to investigate the event. It happened in 2016. Kenya is still ‘investigating’ that event), that he nevertheless must have been betrayed by someone in his organisation, who tipped the Nigerian intelligence agencies that Kanu was headed to Kenya.

And then I began thinking about the ‘dot in a circle’ statement by General Buhari. I had criticised Buhari for making that comment. It is most irresponsible of him to have described the Igbo as such. It showed his malevolent mindset towards some citizens of his own country, and he should apologise.

However, on further introspection, I began to cast my mind to statements Nnamdi Kanu had made in his many broadcasts which I only watched just yesterday.

He unacceptably insults Black people as being less intelligent than other races (how can a Black person say such things? Is that not self hatred?). He attacks Yoruba churches, pastors and media (what is a Yoruba church? Honestly, I had never heard of a Yoruba church until I heard that word from Kanu. I thought all churches belonged to God through Christ).

You can imagine if you are Yoruba and sympathetic to the plight of the Igbo, and you listen to all the bile from Kanu about your ethnic nationality, how would you look if you continue to defend him to your kinsmen?

Then you listen to some of the even more outrageous things he has said about Northerners (Igbos, your enemy is Buhari. Your enemies are not the Hausa or Fulani. Don’t mix up the two). I cannot even repeat them here.

Looking back to those broadcasts, it looks to me that it is Nnamdi Kanu himself who made IPOB (not the Igbos as Buhari claims) a dot in a circle.

He made no attempts to be persuasive. He did not even try to win hearts. He made no pretence of anything but contempt to anyone who was not part of his Biafra. Even though I had always thought that Odili, Amaechi and Wike and their people in Rivers state are Igbos, I now understand, but do not agree with Wike’s claims that they are not Igbos.

Who would want to be a minority in a country ruled by Kanu? Tufiakwa! You speak your mind and you may be shot on the spot!

To be honest, I had never listened to these broadcasts by Nnamdi Kanu until they were brought to my attention by this Southern Presidential candidate. I was clueless about their existence. In fact, I felt a bit naive. I felt like a fool!

Anyone who has been following me for the last six years would have known how much of my time and money I have devoted to defending, advocating for and promoting the cause of the Igbos.

However, having watched for the first time these videos where Nnamdi Kanu called Black people wicked (I am Black, but I don’t think I am wicked), and where he described Igbos who refuse to support IPOB as evil, I am flummoxed!

However, the one that shocked me the most was his statement that (and this is an exact quote), “If you are attending a Yoruba church, you should be ashamed of yourself. Anyone who attends a church headed by a Yoruba pastor is an idiot. A complete fool. An slowpoke. I have no time for them. They are worse than Boko Haram. They are very, very foolish. If your pastor is Yoruba, you are not fit to be a human being.”

And the funniest thing is that >b]the pastor who provoked him into making that statement is from Auchi. He is not even Yoruba. No wonder they think I am Yoruba. To these lot, anyone Southerner West of the Niger is Yoruba. They have a majority mindset that is not minority friendly AT ALL.

Even more disturbing is that this Auchi pastor, who Nnamdi Kanu calls Yoruba, and used to generalise all Yoruba pastors, was summoned by DSS in December of 2016, and asked to explain why he did a video calling for Kanu’s release. Who fights those who fights for them?

How did I miss these broadcasts? Have I been too focused on Buhari to the extent that I was blindsided? Is this the fellow I have been defending?

I am a minority. My late father was a minority. He went to Sokoto as a Youth Corp Member in 1975, and became Nigeria’s youngest Director of Public Prosecution and Nigeria’s youngest judge (at the time), and was elevated to the Court of Appeal, all from old Sokoto. Would that be possible in Kanu’s Biafra?

And when he was interviewed in 2020 by Dr. Damages (I did not even know until the same Southern former Presidential candidate sent me the video), and given an opportunity to denounce his previous statements against the Yoruba, Nnamdi Kanu doubled down on it and said as follows:

“Most of the difficulties we have been having have always come from these Yoruba pastors.”

Then he went on to say in that same 2020 interview as follows:

“Yoruba Pentecostalism is the reason why Fulanis are invading us today.”

Where is the connection between Pentecostal churches and killer herdsmen?

I was stunned. This video was recorded last year. How come I never saw it. I checked on YouTube and only 27,000 people had seen it.

How can I be against Isa Pantami for saying “We are all happy whenever unbelievers are being killed” and then tolerate these statements from Nnamdi Kanu?

If I do, it will make me a hypocrite. And while I mistakenly may sometimes be hypocritical, I will not be deliberately hypocritical.

Everything I have said here is the truth. It is on video and audio. If you do not like what I have written, then jejely unfollow me. We are obviously not on the same wavelength and I am not about to change in order to make you like me.

It's a usual trend for IPOB supporters to be abusive to anyone who has a contrary opinion . We all know the govt. of the day are evil and ruthless towards its citizens . The best way to fight back is the diplomatic way and grassroot sensitization .

IPOB should form a political party , secure all governorship seats in the southeast and work towards making south east great again.

Buhari is marginalizing igbos all because our igbo leaders are echo chambers to the Fulani oligarchy. It's when we realize that our igbo leaders are the problem first before Buhari , that's when we can indeed make a change.
and you think diplomacy will work? It's like you don't read people. How do you become diplomatic with people who are barbarians ?

The difference is, I do not think Buhari will wilingly do something that'd harm me and Nigerians. But If you think the same about Nnamdi, who had even called for the murder of his Igbo tribesmen just because they don't agree with him, then it's fine with me.

As for Buhari's certificate, it's an issue to only those who want to believe what they want to believe. It is even laughable.

But it's in your stride and psyche. The mindset is we're all illiterates, according to most of you, so what's the need to prove otherwise to you.

It's An Insult To Claim Buhari Has No Certificate - Gen. Alani Akinrinade.

“… The most annoying one is the case about (Muhammadu) Buhari not having a Certificate. It is an insult to the Armed Forces, a terrible insult to the Armed Forces.

If they are so embedded in the system and they have lost their souls, then they can go ahead and join everybody else in castigating a General of Buhari’s calibre.

They are now talking about a School Certificate. By the time he joined the Army in those days, there were no cutting corners. It is later when these same Civilians took over from the Army that admission into it became
less transparent.

I can give you an instance. There was Course Five around 1964: if one did not have a School Certificate, one couldn’t apply to join the Army.

And I know up to 1963 when the last General Officer Commanding left Nigeria, there were no corners to be cut. There was no such thing. Everything was on merit.

And that was how it was till Buhari’s time. Buhari attended the Mons (Officer Cadet School in Aldershot in England) and the Staff College. I don’t want to think they have an idea what they teach in those places. And the rest of us pretend as if we don’t know what they do there.

You send a man to America for one and a half years in a Military School. Do they think he just went there to learn how to fire a rifle? No.

As I speak to you, I don’t know where my original Certificate is because we gave the original to the Military Board. They took it from us when we applied to join the Army. You give the original copy of credentials to the Board. They take it and keep it in your file, that’s what happened.

How many years ago?… 50 years. And Nigeria with our (poor) record keeping and filing things into an archive. If we have an archive at all; an archive inhabited by rats and cockroaches. I think it’s an insult. I take it as a personal insult”

.

Was there a case similar to Kanu's, where a freedom fighter had dual citizenship, i.e. holds passports of two independent countries. Would that not cause conflicts of interest and allegiance?
.
2. Can a true freedom fighter allow those he's leading prostrate and even lick his shoes? For those who'd defend this, does his culture allow prostration as a sign of respect?
.
3. Kanu said he was offered Biafra while in prison but he rejected it unless Benue and Rivers states were added to it. This he believed was to induce him to abandon the Biafra cause. But what sense does it make to reject what you and most people thought was your dream all along for something nearly impossible?
.
4. Kanu is in the habit if calling others unprintable names, but can it also be true, as those accusations are beginning to point back to him. I've read in many places where he's referred to as pig, fraud, gay, crazy etc.
.
5. Is he not suffering from hallucination and delusions to have believed that Buhari is still in London; that the Buhari we're seeing is one Jibrin from Sudan?
.
6. Was he also a club stripper, as alleged by some?
.
7. Is it true that Kanu has no known occupation? In his defence, some said he's a company owner in Britain. But some concerned Nigerian dug out that the said company was just a shield to cover Kanu from being referred to as a vagabond.
.
8. Where did Kanu get the money to establish his Radio Biafra, in a foreign country, when his company's networth in history is not more than £300? I am looking at the logistics and cost here, seeing that even the BBC and VOA do sometimes have reception issues in Nigeria.
.
9. He said his followers should destroy the country if rearrested. Is iPoB no more non-violent, and does he know the implications of this call to violence?
.
10. Is he a Christian, a Jew, an animist or an atheist?
.
11. Did iPOB and Kanu know that ND militants, Boko Haram, OPC, Shi'ites etc. problems started with confronting the security forces as his followers have started to do; and do these confrontations achieve any of the groups' goals?

//

You can thrash out these issues or even ask some more, if there's any, without any insults, please!

Who thought us to hate so much. I will not support Biafra, because it is founded on hate.

So bash me if you want. I am a Nigerian and that is just about it. I don't judge tribes or religions, I judge people as I meet them.

Come to think of it, I have met more evil Igbo people than any other tribe sef.

Never allow yourselves to be roped into a ridiculous tangle spawn in hatred. You people have been very accommodating. Why feed hate with hate?

From www.dailypost.com.ng

Secessionist groups, the Biafra Think Tank, and The Biafra Watchdogs have threatened to attack the Nigerian National Assembly complex, Aso Rock and its Presidential villa, the Force Headquarters, Nigeria Army Headquarters, among others,

Their threats follow the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The group also threatened to kidnap all the ambassadors of the Buhari government including the former Chief of Army Staff, Yusuf Burutai and keep them hostage until Nnamdi Kanu is released and President Muhammadu Buhari signs and announces Biafra.

The groups in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Thursday and signed by 24 of their members, also directed all landlords in Biafra land to document and send names and other vital information of all their tenants to them.

The statement said, “Every landlord in Biafra land must send the names, phone numbers, pictures if possible, address of any police officers, army, DSS, EFCC, ICPC, CIVIL DEFENSE, Air Force, Navy, Custom, Muslims, be it Hausa, Fulani or any non biafra leaving in their houses,” the statement said.

“We shall inform the public and the country and airlines that gave out our leader, Kanu’s details and ensure that the staff, plane, and the country pays dearly or we will give their own country
Jihadists or ISIS useful information to attack their government complex.

“Today we have agreed and decided to kidnap all the ambassadors of Buhari government including Burutai and keep them hostage till they release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and until Buhari signs and declares Biafra.

“We hereby summon all the Biafran sons and daughters working in the USA, UK, EU, AU, army, Navy, Air Force, etc, to attend an important meeting in the USA.

“If Buhari refuses to release Nnamdi Kanu, within 21 days from now, we shall attack the National assembly, Aso Rock, Police Headquarters, Nigeria Army Headquarters etc.”

Nnamdi Kanu, who was arrested, allegedly in Kenya at the weekend, was taken to court on Tuesday and is currently being detained at the Department of State Service, DSS.

The former Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives made this remark in Abuja when he met the leadership of Arewa Consultative Forum, a foremost Northern sociocultural group.

Ihedioha disclosed that the Igbo's throughout history has been peaceful and accommodating people, as evidenced by their numerous businesses spread across the country.

He further expressed his thanks to President Muhammadu Buhari for his foresight in arresting the security situation occasioned in the South East in the past months, urging that any unity garnered through violence is never a lasting one.

Ihedioha also urged the Federal Government to give an ear to the numerous agitation rocking the country, saying that violence is an ill wind that blows that blows no one any good.

In his reaction, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the group, Ambassador Shehu Malami, praised Former Governor Ihedioha for his detribalized and peaceful nature, noting that the spate of insecurity in the country is a result of the abandonment of the youth, which has culminated in the banditry, kidnapping, herders/farmers clashes that has spread to different parts of the country.

Malami also urged Ihedioha to consider himself one of them as they are all brothers in the Nigerian Project.

Signed

Media Aide to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON

We told this member below the same thing the other day....

Nwanne, biko no let us fight o.
You guys should mind the way you use IGBOS
instead of IPOBS biko!

We are two different people.
Kindly take note Chief bighead cheesy grin cheesy!

We true, sane, honest and hardworking IGBOS rule the world when it comes to genuine businesses, and we are not talking about ipobs the troublemakers, who look for trouble all over the country shouting biafra, biafra.
People should please STOP confusing the two together.

That is why you can never see any reasonable, sensible, true and real igbo businessman, actors and actress, footballers, musicians, politicians shouting biafra or ipobs.
True igbos believe Nigeria is their country and have so much love for the nation.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

Good to know that no reasonable IGBO people among us are part of IPOBS,
they reject and denounce them outrightly.

Amen in the name of Jesus.
And,
Insha Allah.

This fraudster Nnamdi Kanu knew that UK was not going to allow him to continue his fraud against Igbos and SS, so he ran away from UK, only to be captured by Nigeria!

God is great!

One still wonders what the strategy was.

As a rule, you don’t kick a man when he is down. But when a man so deliberately, publicly and desperately orchestrates his own fall, you can’t really blame people who fail to stick to that rule.

I always knew it will end in chaos. Any reasonable person ought to have known. No one embarks on such a journey; in such a manner; thoughtlessly and arrogantly carrying on, with no care as to words spoken and no discretion whatsoever in actions; no regard for any one; no rules of engagement, and not end disastrously.

That is the case of Kenny Okwu Kanu aka Nnamdi Kanu who misappropriated our collective Biafran franchise and messed it up. Only an unrealistic person and maybe his ardent devotees would be surprised or feign surprise at his arrest.

For me the only surprise is that it took too long to happen for he was operating like a serial killer deliberately setting up himself to be caught.

This is why I laugh at the display of pretentious emotions and support for this brother by some people since the news of his arrest broke. You do not ‘support’ a man and see him driving full speed into fire and yet you keep hailing him, without calling him to order or advising him until he actually drives into the fire, yet still mouth empty and banal words of ‘support’. Some even have the shamelessness to taunt others who actually hit the alarm bell consistently. For how long will you deceive yourself?

The truth is that all the while, I was asking myself how it is that many otherwise smart Igbo brethren could allow themselves to be so badly brain washed and impervious to reality that they could not see the danger that this brother was putting himself, never mind impressionable Igbo youths and ala Igbo itself in.

Sad to say it was such display of monumental un-Igbo lack of smartness and discretion; egged on by not a few of our brethren in diaspora and some self seeking ‘leaders’, politicians and pseudo-intellectuals at home in addition to defeaning silence in the face of looming anarchy by elders and others who ought to know better that emboldened and drove this our brother (yes he is and remains out brother) to challenge even his own Chi.

In so doing, he misled many of our young and not so young ones with his phantom sense of invincibility, world wide support and influence and they so easily believed him. Alas the greatest shock to many of his deceived acolytes today is his unremarkable arrest in spite of all the powers, connection that he had convinced them he had.

Indeed the greatest fraud and injustice Kenny Okwu Kanu aka Nnamdi Kanu did to Ala Igbo was to mislead and deceive our youths in such a monumental and never before or imagined seen manner. That damage will take decades to undo, if ever.

This was a brother who told our people and many actually believed and sold same that he had single handedly gotten endorsements from the European Union, Donald Trump of the United States, indeed the US Congress, Israel, Russia etc etc. These he did not just say in his usual loquacious and tactless manner; there was indeed an orchestrated, deliberate determination to mislead our people by perfecting the art of fake news, infantile propaganda; deploying doctored and outrightly fake videos, pictures and audio, carefully crafted and religiously deployed deliberately to drive impressionable and uninformed Igbo youth into violent acts, the likes of which have never been known amongst or associated with Ndi Igbo even from pre-historic times, including beheading people. One still wonders what the strategy was.

Sadly these violent acts were directed at or perpetrated on mostly his (our) fellow Igbo brethren, including policemen and members of other security agencies of Igbo extraction and those brethren they tagged ‘saboteurs’, efulefu, Fulani enablers etc; simply because they refused to be brain washed and to join the bandwagon of hate, madness and sheer lack of common sense.

I watched as many supposedly educated and widely travelled Igbo brethren were irredeemably sold on this scam such that they couldn’t see it for what it really and clearly was and I shuddered.

Kenny Okwu Kanu misappropriated the name of HE Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe and renamed himself Nnamdi Kanu. I bet most of his ardent followers do not know his real name.

The fact of the matter is that Kenny has been a ‘person of interest’ to UK and world authorities for a very reasonable length of time now, when his activities and its consequences in Nigeria; (especially in his homeland, the South East that he claimed to be fighting to “liberate”) were officially brought to the notice of the UK authorities.

He was invited and confronted with the allegations which he denied. So much for bravado. He was asked not to leave the UK while investigation was ongoing. Alas before his appointment date came up, he absconded from the UK. That put the INTERPOL on his trail.

Yet even while this brother was sneaking around from one country to another and in-between international borders, trying hide from his shadows, he did not let up on his effort at inciting insecurity and mayhem in his homeland, the South East. He still held many of our people under his spell.

He never told his followers that there was snake in the thatch roof. He misled and continued deceiving them like he had done all through the period of his misadventure. Recently he said he was going into a period of prayer, whatever that meant. I personally laughed become I knew the real fact was that as we say in local parlance, ‘oku di over’. The world had decoded what he was and who he really was and no nation wanted to be associated or said to be associated with him. They never were in the first place anyways, in spite of his fabrications. Alas the cookie crumbled.

I have read some of his acolytes and some people who pretend that they love ala Igbo more than others, looking for who to blame. Well, there is no one to blame but Kenny Okwu Kanu aka Nnamdi Kanu himself. No World body, nation or international security organisation would listen to just his words, spoken by himself and documented by himself and need any plenty verbiage or proof from the Nigeria government or anyone for that matter. They are self indicting, laying in plain view. One asks again: What type of strategy was that?

It is unfortunate what has happened to a brother but people should always be ready to bear the consequences of their deeds.

As an true Igbo son, I want the best for my people within the context of a wider Nigerians state and I will support any one, Igbo or not who can help that cause. But ANYONE who would take the route this brother took, endangering our people will never get my support. I do not care what grammar or emotional mumbo jumbo anyone spins.

I will continue to pray for us to wake up from our slumber and raise real and true leaders amongst us to champion our causes.

It is not too late to do so.
