A pastor is one that has been called by God, not everyone will be a pastor by we can play our own part by preaching the Word of in our little corner.

The duty of pastors and believers in the verse is to preach the Word, since you are still arguing, just live it that way.

Jesus Christ never told any of His followers to install self as pastor(shepherds) over any in His own flock..... He never gave us that authority.. read John 10 to see this.

In Mathew 23, Jesus Christ made it more than clear to us that we are not to install ourselves as Teachers, Masters , leaders or authorities, or even what many of you call "spiritual fathers" over anyone who belongs in His flock. He forbade us from occupying any position above anyone of those who belong to Him declaring instead that in His Kingdom, we are all equal - brothers and sisters..in the eyes of God.

In Mark 16, He calls on us to go into the world and teach, not our own delusions -the doctrines and traditions of men (See Mark 7) -, but the very same Gospel of the Kingdom of God that He had spent much time teaching and showing us.

So you tell me, Did God lie? Did Jesus lie?
