I couldn 't have believed that Toxinaija would sound so ****** . Do you think scientists or inventors initiate what they research on? What is wrong in somebody presenting a research he cannot finish; for anyone who is interested to continue from where he or she stopped. I am very disappointed on how you sounded so naïve; if engineers, scientists or technicians, should work or think like you; there wouldn’t have been results.

Let me not digress from the topic, from the latest research; the only difference between DVB-T and DVB-C is in modulation. DVB-C uses between 16 and 256 QAM modulation, while DVB-T max is 64QAM, and I think DISCOM is on 128. I still get their frequency on CH29, 538MHZ but the Strong 4650 DVB-T+ box could not demodulate it. Note their line of site is not in the same direction with that of Trend but about 5 degrees left from that of Trend’s. Another option to this is to replace your DVB-T tuner with that of DVB-Cs; which may not be found, otherwise buy a DVB-T/DVB-C PCI card for your PC. All these, I have not tested critics please don’t crucify me. I also learnt that a full DVB-T set top box is now in USB flash drive with its antennae for $34, who knows how possible is that?

Enitan, I was the one who sent you a text on Discom; I still get their frequency on CH29 but no content, although I am using Strong 4650 terestrial box with a down converter. I am very sure that the difference we are talking about here is not on the frequency but modulation. DVB-C uses QAM, while DVB-T uses COFDM; now the question here is, are you sure we are not mistaken? because, Trend uses 64QAM in modulation and they call it DVB-T. I shall continue the research, I am sure DVB-T can receive DVB-C; may be with additional hardware. Research also shows that DVB-T is a modified DVB-C of 1995 which was born in 1997.

Do you know why an Analog TV using normal TV antenna can not receive Analog Cable TV Broadcast, but an Analog TV using California yagi antennae does?

It is because the frequency range of Cable TV Broadcast is higher than the frequency range, normal TV RF Tuner are designed to receive. Before a Normal TV can receive Cable TV Broadcast, it's antennae has to be connect to a frequency down converter that will convert the high frequency range of Cable TV broadcast to Terrestrial Broadcast frequency range.

A frequency down converter functions like an LNB on a Satellite dish, which converts frequency range of (3.4 - 4.2) GHz To frequency range of (920MHZ --1.2GHz) for C-band and frequency range of (10.5 --12.15 )GHz to Frequency range of (920MHZ --- 1.2GHz)for KU-band

At Port Harcourt where I resides , Communication trend limited ( CTL) the parent company of Trend TV, Transmits on DVB-C platform. You can receive It's signals using a DVB-T receiver and a California Yagi antenna. Also there is another company called METRO DIGITAL that is Broadcasting on DVB-T platform. for you to receive it's signal You need a DVB-T receiver and normal TV antenna of 24 Volt rating, as that's the quantity of volt the receiver send out to the antenna.

IWES, you have just opened my brain small, I was thinking of something possible but e get where my brain go reach e go stop. I am thinking of converting a satellite frequency to a terrestial frequency with a reason you may not find interesting. I d continue the experiment, if I succeed; their comes a new invention.

Let me ask these question, are some women born to be single? because, to every male born there is 10 females; and no body is doing polygamy again. Therefore, it is obvious that some women must stay single; but its a bad idea because most of them don't feel happy in it. Thank God, I am not a woman; and to the shy guys who is affraid to toast, you should understand that women really need you and you will be a minus if you don't try it, so dont be affraid to toast the queen of England. Lets join hands and reduce the number of single women.

DAAR, said they will sale their decoders for 40k, without premier league; this was disclosed today on the meeting they had at the airport. I think psychologically, it may not be true since they know psychics will come from other TV broadcasters, I d come up with more info.

I believe Chrome is still on its early stage; still needs some modifications but for now, the picture quality and video are the best. It plays video without much buffering, for anything video in the web use chrome but explorer is my best web browser because I have enough bandwidth. He who has enough bandwidth will like explorer.
