According to her, acting has been part of her since she was a little girl but she couldn’t do much because of the need to concentrate on her studies. However, she quickly added,

“My mum taught me how to dance but I think I am a better dancer than her now. I train her now,”

Celebrities / John Okafor: My sister behind rumours of me having a stroke - Mr Ibu by Mediahelm: 12:27am On Apr 13, 2019
Comic actor, John Okafor widely known as Mr Ibu, had to make a video recently to debunk a rumour about his health condition after it was reported that he was down with a stroke.

The 57-year-old said that it was his sister, who instigated the fake news about his health.

He stated, “I don’t know what actually happened; one of my sisters was also part of the rumour mongers.

“She just opened a media house; so she is looking for a way to make her brand go viral. I feel she should have consulted me before spreading this kind of news and I would have given her another angle to explore such that it would not affect my image.

“The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria also confirmed that I was sick and it is very funny. The only bad incident that has happened to me recently was when I was attacked in Nnewi during Christmas and I have recovered.

“I have forgiven my sister for what she did. I am alive and well, my wife was very angry over the news and wanted to take action but I told her not to do so.

“I’ve left it to God for Him to defend me.”

Celebrities / Tosin Silverdam: Adesua Etomi Vogue Magazine Cover Is Disappointing, Inferior by Mediahelm: 8:40pm On Mar 18, 2019
Nigerian wrter, Tosin Silverdam has reacts to Actress Adesuwa cover on Vogue Magazine.

According to him, he said "She looks so inferior compared to the other ladies on the cover, what did they do to her skin tone? She looks so bad and almost unrecognizable"

He wrote:

Honestly, I am not surprised this @adesuaetomi’s vogue magazine cover didn’t the break the internet. Although, this is a great feat and deserve somewhat celebration but sincerely speaking, this cover is quite disappointing. I’m not a hater, she looks like a slave on this cover. She looks so inferior compared to the other ladies on the cover, what did they do to her skin tone? She looks so bad and almost unrecognizable, when I first saw the cover, I didn’t even know she’s the one. @adesuaetomi is extremely beautiful but then again, she looks so odd and more like a slave to the other girls. She should have complained about the cover, this is not impressive at all. No wonder it didn’t break the internet. Anyway, some argued she doesn’t deserve this space, oh well, also the magazine regarded her as one of the biggest actresses in Africa. Seriously? Well, the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, @realomosexy Ritadominic or even Funke Akindele are veterans and they are too big for this type of cover, especially sharing space with other actresses. I would be disappointed if any of these big actresses accept this offer. But come to think of it, if @genevievennaji is actually on this cover, damn those melanin will be popping out gracefully.

Three-year-old, Kabiru Sasore, who survived the recent building collapse at Ita Faji on Lagos Island, has said he is afraid to return to school. Kabiru who was rushed to the hospital after the incident, was discharged last week Thursday after he was certified healthy enough to return home. His mother is said to be in a private hospital at the moment where she is being treated for shock.

Narrating his ordeal, Kabiru who still appears shocked over the incident, told The Nation that he was eating in his class when he suddenly heard a loud sound, thinking it was a bomb.

“I was eating in my class when my school collapsed, I heard a loud sound, and our school shook and all of us fell on each other. I was afraid and I didn’t want to go to school that day, I later saw a caterpillar. Though I am fine but my back is still painting me and my neck.” he said

He said he is afraid to go to school again because he does not want to experience a similar incident again.

His Aunty, Balikis Muhammed, who is currently nursing him, said he was discharged from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH ) on Thursday, adding that he is still on medication and has an appointment in the hospital next Thursday.

?I?m afraid to go to school again? Little boy who survived Itafaji building collapse says

His mother, Idera, is not feeling fine due to the shock from the incident; she is currently on admission in the hospital. When I saw him in the hospital last Thursday, when he woke up in the hospital, what he told us was that they bombed his school, everybody shook and it was not fair. He was shouting the name of his friend from the same school who was by his bed side, that one was asleep but Kabiru continuously shouted his name and was banging on his bed till that one woke up, opened his eyes, shouted Daddy.” she said

Another survival, Farouk Abimbola, Seven years old, in Primary 3, said he was in his class when the incident happened.

We were in the class reading with our teacher when the building suddenly started shacking and it collapsed, I heard a loud sound and I saw pillars coming down. I later saw caterpillar then sand was covering my leg and my head; some people carried and removed me from the sand and took me to the hospital. My leg and my hand are still paining me'' he said

Politics / Obasanjo Government Knows Something About Death Of Bola Ige - Soyinka by Mediahelm: 1:13pm On Feb 06, 2019
Wole Soyinka, Nobel laureate, has accused former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s government of protecting and rewarding killers of former Minister of Justice,Bola Ige.

Soyinka disclosed this while lamenting the high rate of impunity and corruption in the country.

Soyinka said this in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday titled, “Trivialise corruption, Neutralise justice”.

“It is heartening news that some 20 CONCERNED LAWYERS have come together to undertake the mission of cleaning up the Aegean stables that seem to pass today for the Nigerian Judiciary,” Soyinka said.

“Some of us do need an institution to which we can look up, of which we should even live in awe. Some find that in religious institutions, others in traditional fixtures, some even in family and so on.

“All agree that the Order of Justice is a pre-eminent candidate for collective regard and even self-regulation. No matter, we all know that, without Justice, society unravels at the seams, and its citizens resort to self-help.

“Impunity stalks the land, indeed it is virtually lording it all social interstices. Let no one take my word for it, simply turn the pages of the media any day. Impunity’s ravages churn the mind.

“Somehow, this nation generally failed to recognize, much less learn from the murder and enabling implications of the unsolved murder of Bola Ige, the nation’s Attorney-General and Minister of Justice.

“The Bar Association accepted the casual disposition of its erstwhile captain and has understandably perhaps moved on. For some of us however, the files are not closed.

“The government at the time of Ige’s killers know the truth. That government protected – I repeat – protected, and rewarded his killers.

“Those who wish to dispute this had better first immerse themselves in the circumstances of that murder, and the unconstitutional, indeed illegal trajectory of the principal accused, one that not only facilitated his unconstitutional participation in the ensuing election but catapulted him straight to the occupancy of the seat that had been kept warm for him during his trial and absence.

“On release, he was ushered straight into the slot of Chairman of the Appropriation Committee of the House of Representatives.

“That was not all. The head of that government, General Olusegun Obasanjo, proceeded to burnish Ige’s memory with characteristic zeal.”

Politics / 'How FG Aided Nnamdi Kanu’s Escape' - George Chukwu, Canada-Based Journalist by Mediahelm: 12:46pm On Feb 06, 2019
An International Media personality and presenter, George Chukwu, has revealed some details surrounding an alleged deal that led to the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, by the Nigeria Government.

In a Statement to from Toronto, Canada, the renowned presenter with Canada’s Afroglobal Television and Vice-President of the Nigeria Canadian Association (NCA) said he got reliable information from sources in the deep background from Aso Rock how the IPOB leader was arrested during the military exercise in his hometown along with his parents in 2017 and held in Bonny, Rivers State under solitary confinement and released after the former Director-General, DG, of the Department of State Services, DSS, Moman Daura, working together with the former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, convinced President Muhammadu Buhari and Abba Kyari to recruit him to work for the state.

Chukwu said,
“I gathered from a very senior security official in Abuja that Nnamdi Kanu, his parents and driver were apprehended by the Army DMI operatives and initially taken to Ohafia on September16th of 2017. He was later removed from the military facility and taken to a Naval yard in Rivers State. His parents were held at Ohafia before they were transferred to Abuja and kept in a DSS safe house on Kwameh Nkrumah Street, Asokoro in Abuja.

“According to my source, Nnamdi Kanu was wounded when he was arrested; he had a broken rib and was limping. The DMI kept the information about his arrest secret to manage the outcome of the infamous Operation Python Dance the army initiated which culminated to his being arrested.

The FG was worried that information leaking about his arrest would trigger off protests and possible riots throughout the South East and South-South. Their fear stems from the fa that Asari Dokubo had aligned with Nnamdi Kanu and the FG did not want the Niger Delta militants to start blowing pipelines again. They already had the Avengers that were causing enough trouble for them.

“When the case Nnamdi Kanu was answering was called and the court was told he was nowhere to be found and following the Army HQ saying they did not know where Nnamdi Kanu was, it was decided that the information became top secret. It was at this time that the British Government made enquiry about Nnamdi Kanu who holds a British citizenship and the Attorney General and the Foreign Affairs Minister assured them that he was safe. Nnamdi Kanu sneaked into the country in 2015 with both his British passport and his Nigeria passport which enabled the Nigeria government to arrest him as he is also her citizen. Had Nnamdi Kanu had only his British passport he would have been safe. This was the argument the FG through the Attorney General offered to the UK diplomats and they kept cool.

“Towards June 2018, Nnamdi Kanu became very ill and at a point took to hunger strike but was well taken care of. The doctor that was seeing him is called Dr. Obegi from Kogi. Nnamdi Kanu was said to have refused being given any injection which worsened his condition. He told his handlers he was afraid he would be killed the way Musa Yar Adua was allegedly killed. In all the months he was incarcerated he did not break. On the day that the World Cup final was played, his parents were brought to visit him.

“The DSS had been working his parents and they asked Nnamdi to reveal the funding of IPOB and how the money transfers were done. You remember, there was a time the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed gave a press conference saying that IPOB had foreign sponsors from Spain; that information many others were given to the DSS by Nnamdi Kanu. His parents meeting him was a struck of luck as he became weakened and agreed to reveal all that the authorities wanted from him. But he demanded that his parents be released.

“At this point of negotiation, the Federal Government brought in the former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu and he was contacted by Abba Kyari to get into the negotiation since he knew most of the sponsors of IPOB. Kalu went to see Kanu on in early August but the meeting did not yield any dividend as Kanu maintained his demand that his parents be released.

“The former Governor was said to have asked the government to use Nnamdi Kanu’s parents as leverage or collateral knowing that his negotiations with Kanu never ever gets through.

“It was during this time that the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague delivered its verdict on their investigation into the activities of the Nigeria Army and concluded that they committed grave human rights abuses including killing innocent people. That development cut short the plan to release Nnamdi Kanu’s parents.

”It was at this time that it was said the former DSS boss, Daura, came into the picture and told Nnamdi Kanu that he would have a new brief. He made it clear that his parents would be held while he would continue with a message of election boycott as the IPOB were canvassing. Nnamdi Kanu was told in specific words that he was being recruited to propagate the election boycott in the South East and South South knowing that these regions will not vote for President Muhammadu Buhari.

“It was Daura that decided to have Nnamdi Kanu released to be flown to Israel after a deal was reached. Nnamdi Kanu was removed from Bonny and taken to Enugu airport from where he was transported to Abuja and connected to Israel.

“This is why Nnamdi Kanu has been pushing for election boycott because he knows that this will affect Atiku Abubakar and Pater Obi so that Buhari will win. He has kept quiet about how he left the country, only saying that Biafra Intelligence took him away. He has not mentioned where his parents are and has been doing everything to make sure he keeps his own part of the deal which was to be on till after the elections. My source said that Nnamdi Kanu was told to act like he used to but when he did the Jibril taunt and it went viral he was reminded of the pact he had with the government that is why he lately took to Atiku.”

Politics / PDP reacts as Buhari says he assumed office in 2005 by Mediahelm: 11:40pm On Feb 05, 2019
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State says those at the forefront of President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection were enemies of Nigeria and its people.

Director of Media and Publicity of the Atiku/Obi PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Ekiti State, Lere Olayinka, said in a release on
Tuesday that Nigerians should ask leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) how a man who can no longer remember when he assumed office should continue to be in control of the existence of over 200 million Nigerians.

The President had said in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday that, “I assure you that we are conscious of the promise we made, when we came into office in 2005.”

Olayinka, who said he was sure those still supporting President Buhari will never pray that God should give their children his kind of brain,
reiterated that “the only reason the cabal running the country want him (Buhari) to remain in office is to guarantee their 2023 presidential ambition and access to the national treasury.”

He said
“Nigerians must not allow the cabal to impose calamity on the country for another four years.

“They knew even in 2015 that President Buhari lacked both mental and physical capacity to run any business venture and that explained why
he could not cause his cows to increase from 150 for 12 years.

“For a President who went to Delta State to present flag to his party’s governorship candidate as Presidential, Senatorial and
Governortorial candidate and said in Ekiti State today that he assumed office in 2015, no lover of Nigeria will still be talking about his
reelection.

“If he cannot remember when he assumed office, can he remember his responsibilities as a President? Can he remember the insecurity in the Northeast and other parts of the country? Can he remember that a bag of rice that he met at N7,000 is now N21,000?

“Nigerians must therefore rise to save the country from the cabal whose only interest is to hold on to power, using a glaringly weak brain President.”
