emibros:I'm a Barca fan |
Kay 17:anytime bruv. Still on creativity, I think it can be viewed from two angles: 1. Creativity as a role/position: This refers to players that play in offensive positions. Not every player that play in attacking positions are actually creative just like we have defenders that cannot defend. 2. Creativity as an ability: This is what I explained in my previous post; ability to produce something out of the ordinary. Ability to create stuff for the team. Its not only players that play in offensive positions that are creative. There are players that play in non attacking or creative positions that are creative. There alot of defenders and holding midfielders that are creative. Examples of defenders that are creative are: Dani Alves, Sergio Ramos, Maicon, Glen Johnson, Leighton Baines, etc. They once in a while can produce something out of nothing for the team but not often because of their position. You can go check out Alves assist ratio and you will be amazed. Examples of holding midfielders that are creative are: Xabi Alonso, Abou Diaby, Sergio Busquets, Michael Essien, etc. |
The cookie has finally crumbled after so much pressure. Nigeria has been suspended indefinitely by FIFA. This means that Nigeria cannot participate in any FIFA organised tournament until this suspension is lifted. The news was absolutely euphonious to me and alot of other Nigerians. Like Adokiye Amasiemaka puts it, "we need some time out for sober introspection. . .". It is exactly what we need in my own opinion. I'd like for us to now profer solutions on the way to go for Nigerian football so that at the end of all these we would come out bigger, better and bolder and Nigerian football would once again attain and surpass the vertiginous height it once proudly stood at. |
emibros:yeah emibros, I remember Michael Ricketts, big black guy. I'm not a Trotter though but I got love for the club |
One major misconception people have about creativity is that it's all about dribbling. Creativity encompasses all you have said above and it manifests itself in various forms. I think creativity is that ability to produce that moment of genius. Some players just have that eye for the killer pass that can unlock defences eg, Lampard and its all creativity. Others combine the ability to pass with the ability to dribble, eg, Iniesta, Malouda, Ronaldinho. Creative players create openings for the team to score goals. They turn games around and assists are a great way of measuring players creativity. I consider Arteta to be a creative player. He has got good passes and is fairly skilfull. He knows how to bring other players into play |
Thank you FIFA, the ban is long overdue. Thank you Yakubu, what a butterfly effect has your 1 metre to goal miss against Korea had on our football. If you hadnt missed, Lulu and his cohorts will still be in office and will be preparing for a second term after a 'successful' world cup. Lagerback will still be in charge of the super eagles earning jumbo pay. Thank you all, your contributions are invalauble |
javalove:are you saying that you can comfortably include Diouf's name among legendary Trotters like Coyle, Nolan, Davies, Okocha or Djokareff? He scored against Sevilla? So scoring in Europe makes you automatic legend, right?? He was invaluable to Bolton yet he was sold to Sunderland for £2.6m in 2008 at age 27-supposed to be his prime. Diouf is NOT a Bolton legend, not even close. If you weren't in such a hurry to show your loyalty, you would have seen that I'm on Bolton's side, mate. . . |
Pedro out for btw 3-4 weeks with a hamstring injury. Big blow |
Vieira:Diouf, a Bolton legend? do you fukking mean this? How many games did he get at Bolton? The bulk of his Bolton career was spent playing from the bench. Besides, Diouf's had been a bad boy from his time at Liverpool. I remember he spat on a Rangers or is Celtic fan while at Liverpool. Kevin Davies and elbows?? When did they ever go together? |
my favourite Owl City tracks are Rainbow vein and Hot air balloon. There's a line in Rainbow vein that goes thus: your nerves gather with the altitude/exhale so you dont come unglued/ you just have to give it to Adam Young, he is good |
Vieira:thuggery, how?? If anything, I think Bolton have been on the receiving end of 'thug' like acts from other teams. Nigel de Jongs career threatning tackle on Holden and Fabregas' stamp on a Bolton player(cant remember his name) in the run up to one of their goals in 4-1 win last season. I really dont know what you mean by 'thug like acts'. |
Serves him right. He's psycho. He enjoys nasty challenges. |
just what we need |
Kanye West ft. John Mayer- Bittersweet |
Lasers- Lupe Fiasco. It was originally titled L.U.P.End and was supposed to be his third and final album but his label somehow got him to do a couple more stuff. He recently dropped a BMF freestyle titled 'Building Minds Faster' and its hot. Kanye-DTF. I didnt know until now that it was no more titled Good backside job. Ye beyond his rapping makes good music I'm not really into JCole and these new rappers but he had a good verse on Reflection Eternal's 'Just Begun'. I might give it a try. Waiting on Jay Electronica too. I've been feeling him ever since I listened to 'Exhibit C' |

TP Mazembe 3 vs JSK 1 Al Ahly 2 vs Esperance 1 |
what's it how market? We drew, we did not lose. We had our chances; numerous chances to seal the game but we did not take them. We missed Xavi's incisive passes. Mallorca scored with only chance in the match |

honeric01:I feel your pain bruv but then, they had to make a decision. They were left with no choice. The other option they had was to relegate Bayelsa United and prompt a court case that would probably stop the league from starting which means there will likely be no league this season. According to what I read in the papers and heard from some analysts, it would have been wrong for Bayelsa to go down. They were leading 1-0 against Wikki until the 88th minute when Wikki fans in Bauchi invaded the pitch. They would have been awarded 3pts and 3 goals but board room points had been banned. According to the NPL laws, Bayelsa should have been informed of a replay at least 48 hrs before the game but they were only informed of a replay a day before the game and meanwhile, Bayelsa were already in Kaduna for their midweek game. Baribote was willing to go to any length to fight this and so this was the only decision that could settle everything. Honeric, just keep faith. We'll get there |
happy times for the Trotters. Just one loss so far but one win too. I think the season is promising |
There'll be no Enyimba vs Pillars match because they'll be in different conferences except they meet in the final play offs. The league will be so unexciting this season. . . |
Arthur Guiness, founder of Guiness brewries in Ireland. Elaies Guineesis is the botanical name of the African palm tree that produces palm wine. Arsene Wenger, coach of Arsenal football club |
Del Piero definitely. In his prime, he was the highest paid player in the world. He was paid per minute and back then Juve were a real force to reckon with both in Italy and Europe |
Semi final actions begin today |
I think he's depressed. He shouldnt be living in absolution, he should let people in. Nigerians still love him |
Villa is suspended for tomorrow's match, no thanks to the red card against Bilbao. Messi will most likely start. He looked lively when he was introduced against Rubin Kazan. Mallorca are not as strong as they were last season. I think they've only won once this season. Our winning streak came to an end against Rubin but I still expect us to win this one. Match time is 6:00 PM(Naija time) |
Liverpool, Blackpool. . . Imma be chilling in the swimming pool |
