Messi noni! |
Can't wait |
So you will face the ultra-defensive Gijon at the Molinon without your best player, Xabi Alonso? Hahahaha, e don happen o! Seriously, I don't see how you'll survive without Alonso. Your counter attacking play is totally dependent on him and your other midfield options - Lass, Khedira - are just excuses for footballers. It's left to be seen how good Sahin would come and Granero? Does he still play for Madrid? |
coogar:You mean the game where Spurs had a sweet escape? Over 180 mins, Crouch's goal was perhaps Spurs only chance in that game. Did you see the game vs PAOK? Spurs were totally owned until that red card that never was. |
Maradona was asked to comment on Pele's claims that Neymar is better than Messi. Diego: "Pele got his pills mixed up. He should see his doctor." ![]() |
I hope Pep doesn't play Busi against Levante. He's on four yellows already. One yellow against Levante and he'd miss the classico and that'd be a major blow. |
Beaten at home by 10 man PAOK Saloniki. . . . EPL is shyte. |
X&Y Is my favourite Coldplay album. I also love Prospekts March - it has one of my best songs 'Strawberry Swing'. |

AjanleKoko:Madrid thrashed Rayo 4-2 at the Bernabeu. That was the game Rayo went ahead within 20 seconds of the start of the game. They have some good players. There's Lass that plays on the left side of their attack and they also signed the veteran Raul Tamudo. They pressed us real hard. We didn't find space for triangles until Alexis' goal. Alexis was massive last night. A constant thorn in the flesh of Rayo and good to see Villa back amongst goals. |
AjanleKoko:The league is a marathon. It's just too early to crown Madrid champions. We're not even into the 2nd half of the season yet. There are loads of games to play |
^^ When his (admittedly) impressive goalscoring record is cited, one should always take into account the fact that Madrid are serial penalty winners, and that he takes them almost exclusively. Had Higuain* been the penalty taker at Madrid, then he would have scored 18 until now, Penaldo would have 10. *In far fewer minutes. It's just that I'm busy now, I'd have posted what Penaldo's scoring record would be without penalties. He has scored 18 pks in the league since joining Madrid. 18 in the league alone and this excludes CL and Copa. The bulk of his goals are pks, tap-ins and 10-12 yard freekicks. |
So apart from Pastor Chris, no other Nigerian has up to 1 million ffers. |
AjanleKoko:I thought Messi had scored two penalties. Well, Madrid gets upward of 20 penalties a season, there's no way Penaldo won't be a better PK taker. |
Penaldo will probably break the league's scoring record again. He's scoring is quite ordinary without penalties. He has already thrice as much pks as Messi and we aren't even halfway into the season yet. |
City must be licking their lips |
You would have sworn Hart had a force field around that goal today. What a performance. Balo's sending off was a poor decision though. |
sweetguy10:The league is far from lost. This is November ffs. Madrid are definitely gonna drop points. They still have games against Bilbao, Sevilla and there's the classico. They dropped 9 points between December and May last season. We can't drop any more points. |
Nyntynplus:The thing tire me o! 6 penalties already this season. |
Barcelona XI: Valdés; Alves, Piqué, Abidal, Maxwell; Busquets, Xavi, Thiago; Alexis, Messi, Villa. |
The red card to Thibaut Courtois turned the game on its head. Atletico were taking the game to Real and that pass from Gabi really sliced open Madrid's defence for Adrian to score. After red to Courtois, Atleti were just content to sit back and defend and it was only a matter of time before Madrid broke them. |
Di Maria is a disgrace. . . diving cunt |
Soriano's back! Bagged a brace in Barca B's 2-1 win over Celta Vigo. |
The match is by 8 pm |
A win for Atleti. |
Our Juvenil A team thrashed Celtic's U-19s 5-1 in the on going Nextgen series. We are now through to the 1/4 finals. Jean Marie Dongou bagged a hat-trick and is top scorer in the tournament with 7 goals from 5 games. |
^^ Now that we're likely to sign Botia in the summer, I guess it rules out signing Thiago Silva. As for Fontas, I can't make a call on him yet. He has hardly had a run of games. If anything, I think he's been okay in the few games he's played except for the game at Sociedad which was a general shitty performance. As for Alba, that'll be a great signing. I think he'll make great replacement for the aging Abidal. |
I wonder what inspires the theme of your thread? |
That pass from Messi for the third goal didn't just split Milan's defence, it destroyed it. |
@barcastuff: Barcelona have decided to buy back Sporting centre back Alberto Botia (22) for 2.5M in May. His future depends on next year's coach. [lvda] |
