Hi folks, Pls. with the BVN expiry slated for the end of June and for those of us who started our programme last year. Obviously, the expiry would affect peeps like me who has money in my account. The problem now is transferring the money to my UK account at least the much that i'm going to need before my programme rounds off. Considering the limit on the amount of withdrawals per day, the killing exchange rates and the transaction charges. Does anyone has a better way to transfer this money to my UK account? I recently found out about this TransferWise website but they don't have from Nigeria to UK yet but the reverse is possible. I'm also thinking Western Union but I haven't looked at it yet...Does anyone has a better suggestion for me? Thanks! |

mhoreh: Am sure my mailbox got tired of me refreshing it today, checkd my spam severally, and I did follow all instructions just that I once had a refusal many years ago and can't find the passport or the refusal letter so I had to use the extra information box to explain and pick Jan 01 1900 since picking a date was mandatory .... Staying positive, hopeful and keeping faith ..... Anyway are u going to Leeds, cos I must ve seen u lastweekIn that case, just keep the faith alive and be optimistic. Since you said you finished about the same time with me, i also thought we must have met at some point. I had no 146 at the gate, then i was giving Tag 23 for tier 4 when we were called in but then some 2 guyz and a lady already seated before we came said someone already gave them 23 - 25 respectively, then after the documentation verification with the guy at the lobby, i was given another tag and this time it was 168. Finally in recounting what transpired during my submission, i remember i had a chat with two guyz while waiting to be called for biometrics, a fair guy ( going to manchester for a 2-week course or so) and the other guy is dark ( don't knw which school he's going but heard him say he came from Kaduna and he's paid part of his tuition...) I don't knw if the above helps u figure out me... and lastly, i'm going to Uni of Southampton for MSc Cyber Security. |

mhoreh: I applied on that day too and finished abt same time u mentioned, I haven't gotten any mail thoHave you checked your Spam folder? if you still cldn't find it there, Just chill till tomorrow and lets see how things pan out. Just relax, if you have followed all the steps laid out on this thread to d latter and you responded well to your interview questions, everything would just be fine. |

Hahyour: Hahyour]Please I need an answer to this question..If I am asked how did I raise the money in my account ,what will I sayC'mon, thats the simplest of all questions and you alone have the best answer to it. How did you make the money in your account? it could av been deposited in your account by your parent, it could have been as a result of your savings, it could av accrued from the profits you made on business. So far its not a stolen money, just tell them the truth about it in as much as you didn't earn it illegally and answering any question regarding that would come out just fine. |

mhoreh: please anyone applied at vfs ikeja on the 12th here, any update pleaseYeah...I did apply on the 12th at vfs Ikeja, finished the whole submission exercise around 2pm and today around 1:43pm, I got the below mail our application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within 2 working days. You can check the location of your passport at www.tpcontact.co.uk This is an automated message - do not respond to this email address as incoming mail will not be answered. I look forward to next week Tuesday when am gonna storm their office to collect my package. Thanks to @Jutswise, SpikeC, Donoms, Fragbon and everybody that has made this thread informative. |

koded1999: why would you want to gate crash? you dont need the VAF9 if you apply onlineThe earlier i submit my application, the better. But i guess i wld just av to wait till friday. I thought VAF9 is d document u print out at the end of ur online application?. I don't mean APP8 ooo even though I plan to go with that too. |

Hi everyone...Big Kudos to all n sundry that has made this thread very informative. I wld like to ask those who av been to d Ikeja VFS if its possible to gate crash before ur appointment date. My schl resumes 26th and my appointment is slated for Friday 12th. I had tot i cld get Monday 8th when i apllied online on the 3rd but earliest available date was 12th. Now i'm thnkn if i cld gate crash on tuesday 9th. How feasible is this? I'm sure everyone here knws wht difference it makes to submit ur application a day before not to talk of 3 days before. Also on d printed VAF9, do i fill in d date i applied online or the date i'm submitting at VFS in d space provided for Date and Signature? Thanks... |

Its very true that Nairaland.com cannot be accessed from Mozilla. I haven't been able to log on to this site for almost a week now because Mozilla is my preferred browser to access any website and each time i tried to access nairaland for about a week now, its always not connecting and i have been thinking that probably the site has been taken down to do some maintenance....i decided to find out on google today and i saw this post, then i log on from Chrome and Walla...the site opened... i hope Seun would look into the likely cause and address it on time because i know alot of people would be thinking the site is down not knowing that its the browser thats not granting them access. |

It was an absolute mess....You even tried to answer 30 questions...i was able to answer ONLY 4 questions before timeup....That's unacceptable and it has to be condemned n rejected in clear terms... |

I guess the meeting between ASUU NEC has not ended yet, hopefully before the end of today, we will know what their decision is, so lets wait till they finish and hear from the ASUU chairman himself that the strike continues, and stop raising unnecessary feelings, God bless Nigeria. |

If am to say anything to this issue, I will advise you not to break up your marriage because of what u perceived. Your perception might be true but think of the fact that you are married already and getting another man might not be easy as you might envisage and if at the end of the day, you got someone, how are you sure that person won't be worst. Although not all men are the same but my advice for you is to be patient and pray over it if not for anything, think of the child you already have for him. |

Hi Fellow Nladers I don't understand whats going on in this forum thess days, to me, i think this forum is to make things easier for everybody that logs on to this website by posting information free and with no hidden fees but what I've noticed recently is that people are now turning this forum into a market place or a medium to advertise and even perpetuating fraud. I have seen situations where these guys come up with one or two pages of information in Microsoft word format and start selling to people. I think it's high time we told this people that such things shouldn't be happening in this forum at least Seun didn't collect a dime from anyone for registering on this platform, so why selling the information you have. If you know you can't post whatever information you have here for free, don't bother to advertise it. this issue has to be addressed and treated with utmost seriousness. |
