Guy, you are sitting on a gun powder. If you police arrested you there might be l trouble. God forbid. I had a similar experience. I bought corrola ( second hand). The initial owner bought from Cotonou as scrab without proper documentation. The person who sold the car to me used his former car plate number on this vehicle with fake particular. The mistake I made was that I did not carry out investigation before I bought it. one day I went to my mechanic to fixed some fault and met this guy who was introduced to me by my mechanic. The guy specialise in vehicle particular renewal and told him that I want to renew the particular. He checked the plate number through through an app in his phone and to told me that the plate number was not registered with my car but bears the name of the person who sold the vehicle to me. The sad thing is that this guy is also an informant to the defunct SARS. To cut the story short, I was arrested on January 1st 2018 when I took my family for new year celebration. All the people in connection with the car were arrested including my brother who facilitated the purchase of the car. I Spent 11 days with in SARS. I and my brother paid 600k for bail. The guy who bought the said vehicle from Cotonou was turtured he paralysed. I got know later that SARS operative sold the car. It was classified as Stolen.
