Chibuking81: Rise in the price of crude oil might not have any significant impact in so many stock in NSE, as long as majority of Nigeria live below average. For instance, the salaries of civil servants remain the same, when the FAAC monthly sharing is doubling, by this time last year FAAC share between #300 to #400 billion monthly, now they are sharing #700 to #800 billion. Federal, State and LGA received times two of what they usually received. Is not only that wage bill of government did not increase, or there is pay rise in workers salary, but there was currency devaluation from 190 naira to 362 naira per a dollar, almost times two.
Come to consumers goods, instead of buy more, an average civil servants will reduce to accommodate other expenses, this affected consumers goods.
And this cut across other industries, the set of politician we have now that embezzle the money from the excess crude don't invest within the country, rather they dumped the money outside country.
Governors don't embarked on capital project rather the will built inferior infrastructure and convert the money main for solid infrastructure, keep some underground for next election and dumped remaining abroad.
By right rise in crude oil price supposed to have positive impact in our economy most especially in the capital market, but revise is the case.
With the coming of 2019 general election, there will be increase in minimum wage and every workers will witness increase in his/ her salary, the economy will feel the impact. I believed that government is waiting toward election to agree on the increase and implement it. That should be by January next year.
But remember that foreign investors are still hanging on the fence waiting for the outcome of the election due to fear of unknown.
That's why we must take advantage of bonanza period early next year for the next coming back of bull. For once be positive. |

PETERiCHY: FOOD 4 THOUGHT
A man spends his whole life chasing money, mostly not for his own needs but for that of his immediate family.
The wife works quite alright but there is an unwritten law that says he must provide all her needs because he is a "man", so he saves up and the first car he buys he gives to his wife because "she's a woman, she shouldn't be stressed up" he can still jump buses till he affords to buy another car.
The house rent gets due and he is short of 50k so his wife adds up from her savings and they pay. Two months into the renewal of the rent the wife starts nagging about how she really needs her 50k, there are things she needs to do, most of which are all superfluous. He pays her back her 50k that she contributed to the good of the same family.
His wife isn't very good at driving so he comes home to see she has bashed in the right door of her car. "I'm a little pressed for money dear, I won't be able to fix that anytime soon, do you have some money to spare?" She says she doesn't so the car gets parked for a month or two in which his eardrums were nearly perforated with nagging and complains.
She's pregnant! Yay! the first child is here, it's a girl. That brings it's own responsibilities. The wife's family came to visit to congratulate them and when they leave, another unwritten law says that as a "man" you should give them money for transport
The Man's own family comes too and the same unwritten law is applied.
They get more children and have to move to a bigger house which requires bigger money for rent. And with children expenses don't decrease as they grow older it increases.
One day you wake up and you are 65years old realizing you've done absolutely nothing for yourself as a man but slaved to satisfy others, most of which aren't even grateful for the sacrifice. Sad truth |

Greedy Nigerians.
I put 50k in the stock market in January.. Now it's 45k I also put 50k in money market fund same January.. Now it's 53k
I wish I had put the 100k in tbills.. I would be rocking 15% profit or put it in mutual funds where it would have grown since January...
Am wiser... But I want to learn stock Shaa... it's safer than these HYIP schemes Coinsecure, an Indian cryptocurrency exchange, said nearly $3 million were stolen from its bitcoin wallet, the biggest reported so far in the country’s fledgling virtual currency market. The theft is expected to further weaken trade in cryptocurrencies, which the government has likened to “Ponzi schemes” that offer unusually high returns to early investors. Coinsecure, which has over 200,000 users trading on its platform daily, said that around 438 bitcoins, which were stored in a password-protected virtual wallet were siphoned off to an unknown destination on the internet after the details were leaked online. “We regret to inform you that our bitcoin funds have been exposed and seem to have been siphoned out to an address that is outside our control,” the company said in a statement posted on its website. https://uk.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currencies-india/indias-coinsecure-exchange-says-3-million-worth-of-bitcoins-stolen-idUKKBN1HK0UQ |
