His juniors are all governors. From Obiano to Udom and even Shettima. He should keep allowing himself to be used and dumped by political big weights. All he knows how to do is buy people's land to use for his helicopter pad. How can a man who uses helicopters to his own village want to be a governor? I won't be shocked when EFCc picks him up for the civic center he built or the substandard road he t MENSION ONE PERSON IN YOUR VILLAGE AT HIS LEVEL DEAD OR ALIVE. |

Elose11: “My dear citizens, I am very grateful to God and to all Nigerians for their prayers. I am pleased to be back on home soil among my brothers and sisters. In the course of my stay in the United Kingdom, I have been kept in daily touch with events at home. Nigerians are robust and lively in discussing their affairs, but I was distressed to notice that some of the comments, especially in the social media have crossed our national red lines by daring to question our collective existence as a nation. This is a step too far. In 2003 after I joined partisan politics, the late Chief Emeka Ojukwu came and stayed as my guest in my hometown Daura. Over two days we discussed in great depth till late into the night and analyzed the problems of Nigeria. We both came to the conclusion that the country must remain one and united. Nigeria’s unity is settled and not negotiable. We shall not allow irresponsible elements to start trouble and when things get bad they run away and saddle others with the responsibility of bringing back order, if necessary with their blood. Every Nigerian has the right to live and pursue his business anywhere in Nigeria without let or hindrance. I believe the very vast majority of Nigerians share this view. This is not to deny that there are legitimate concerns. Every group has a grievance. But the beauty and attraction of a federation is that it allows different groups to air their grievances and work out a mode of co-existence. The National Assembly and the National Council of State are the legitimate and appropriate bodies for national discourse. The national consensus is that, it is better to live together than to live apart. Furthermore, I am charging the Security Agencies not to let the successes achieved in the last 18 months be a sign to relax. Terrorists and criminals must be fought and destroyed relentlessly so that the majority of us can live in peace and safety. Therefore we are going to reinforce and reinvigorate the fight not only against; • elements of Boko Haram which are attempting a new series of attacks on soft targets • kidnappings, farmers versus herdsmen clashes, • in addition to ethnic violence fuelled by political mischief makers. We shall tackle them all. Finally, dear Nigerians, our collective interest now is to eschew petty differences and come together to face common challenges of; • economic security, • political evolution and integration • as well as lasting peace among all Nigerians. I remain resolutely committed to ensuring that these goals are achieved and maintained. I am so glad to be home. Thank you and may God bless our dear Nation.”

9jakohai: In Yaradua's case, the man did not properly hand over to GEJ, and as a result there was something of a power vaccum, leading to many issues until the NA did the needful and made GEJ acting President.
Bubu on the other hand properly handed over to Osibanjo. APC learned form the mistakes PDP made. Buhari ask Yaradua to hand over power or get impeach because he was to sick rule Nigeria and not because he did not hand over properly. Please quote correctly to avoid misleading the public. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: A Lady I tried To Give A Job Of N393,000 Blocked Me On Facebook by MEGAWATCH: 10:30am On Aug 08, 2017 |
[quote author=BLoomfrancs post=59253208]So there's this woman whom I know from teaching her son as a home tutor. She just said to me that there's a vacancy in ECOWAS where a bilingual officer is wanted on part-time wif a tax-free annual salary of 15,000 dollars which means a monthly pay of 1,250 dollars per month and that's approximately 393,750 naira every month.
She broke this news to me because she thought I could speak French fluently but nah I lost interest in the language after highschool. So for the offer not to go by without someone I know getting the position I told the woman to give me time that I know of someone who is perfect for the job.
Then here comes the part of the girl wif name Nneoma—not her real name. We went to the same P school and she got admitted to a reputable Uni in the east. Her course, linguistics. So in order to tell her about the job, I sent her a friend's request buh after some days of waiting I got no notification whether she accepted me or not and at my facebook page where I have my sent requests, I checked and to my astonishment I saw nothing. Then to be sure I wasn't mistaken I searched her name again and on her profile the “add friend” button happen to have disappeared. That moment I didn't even know what happened to me; I was totally shocked thinking about why she had just blocked me. Oh was she thinking I was trying to befriend her? Otherwise wtf did she block me for. Wif no other option left I said to myself nna mehn see person wey I wan help dey form big girl fer me when my girlfriend is like 10times more beautiful than she is and even more intelligent. So I went back to the woman and told her she should give the job to another person. So this is it my people wah do y'all think? Drop your comments.
Meanwhile The girl when thinking she has blocked me not knowing she blocked 393,725 naira perMe:[/qu

knightsTempler: Buhari Protest: THINK!!! PICK YOUR BATTLES. Let Yorubas Handle This.
Can we be smart about this for once? Can we use our heads East and South of the River Niger? Can we just play the fool for once and end up as actually smart?
Buhari is a product of Northern grievance. I have written endlessly on this. The North feels cheated out of power which has led to Boko haram etc. They also believe their backwardness and destruction of their lands and death of their people is the fault of the south. Their warped thinking blames us. The great PDP was sacrificed on the altar of the Northern angst. Muazu that would have inherited the presidency from GEJ sacrificed his "heritage" just to placate his people. GEJ and Abdulsalam and and the the nation's power brokers all sat in Aso Rock and made the sacrifice. It is not that they like Buhari or hate GEJ. You saw the welcome of GEJ in Kano.
Today, with all the tension in the land, Yorubas have kept quiet. Now again Igbos are the ones going "live" and rioting to remove Buhari. They are the ones leading "resume or resign". The Northern clerics and their almajiris are seeing this. They have been listening to Radio Biafra, watching Nnamdi Kanu and now Igbos are BEING USED to fight Buhari... fight the North as they see it. Why cannot some people sit and think .
Is Falana dead? Has Tunde Bakare become cripple? Has Wole Soyinka returned his Nobel Laureate award? Is Punch and Tribune and all Yoruba papers out of ink? All the Yoruba voices are silent out of tact and brilliance and intellect. But some people think it is their head that should be used to break coconut for Tinubu and Osinbajo to make coconut "candle" and coconut rice.
If this goes awry and the Northern clerics begin their preaching, like 1966, guess who they will blame for trying to take power from them? The Yorubas that will directly benefit are "kprorring" and folding their hands across their chest and hands gripping their lips together in silence. Other "constitutional voltrons" are risking the safety of our people up North perhaps for peanuts paid surreptitiously to a PROFESSIONAL DEMONSTRATOR from Kogi and or an ambitious Igbo man whose activities will be interpreted as the actions of all Igbos. (I have no problem with ambition. I actually like this chap. But some people aren't thinking)
My point? We have NOTHING TO GAIN from a Buhari return. We have NOTHING TO GAIN FROM A BUHARI RESIGNATION. El Rufai and Tinubu will be the beneficiaries. Everything will remain the same. However, it will be on record that Igbos (interpreted as all of the south not Yoruba) will have inherited hate and anger for taking power from the North and CHEATING THEM OF THEIR TENURE.
It is time for Ohaneze and Igbo senior voices to tell some people to stop risking lives.
LET YORUBAS AND HAUSA-HAUSA FULANI face their Aso Rock "Game of Thrones". For the rest of us, Let us wait for 2019 and see what we can do. Fighting over Buhari resuming or resigning simply shows people have no idea how to PICK THEIR BATTLES.
- Ena My brother, this your write-up is the reason why Nigeria will never develop. Must our political leadership be played on the side of ethnic lines, why did we go to school in the first place. Please this country will never develop on sentiments and ethnic beliefs but on patriotism, sincerity and commitment. May God help us to change our evil ways. |

abouzaid: after the Hausa vs Yoruba clash at ife, only yorubas were arrested including an oba, they're still unjustly detained till today plus many other problems affecting the yorubas but you hardly see them agitate or discuss their problems rather they would be moving from one igbo thread to another spewing hatred over what is not their concern. a famous sage said that "an unexamined life is not worth living" The truth is that the yorubas are afraid of the Igbos leaving Nigeria because if the Igbos leave, the Yoruba nation will collapse, take it or live it. If you doubt me mention any city the Yoruba can boast of aside Lagos......they are so afraid even more than the northerners. |
