In as much as a i want a great Nigeria for us all, however i like to analyse things happening in this country from both social and political angle. Just trying to see if there is any kind of connection or relationship with tinubu and the 2023 presidential elections. My fellow analysts, this movement has swallowed tinubu's Alpa Beta corruption case. Is he in anyway benefiting from this protest? Lets discuss.. |
Its really nice to see the youths United and speak in one voice. This shows that if we the youth decide to change this country, its possible. Unfortunately, anything that is done without a change to the structure or constitution of this country will be a wasted effort. The structure affects the following Leadership of the police Salary and welfare of the police Quality of personnel recruited by police(quota system). Who is promoted to what position Value of the life of citizens Standard of living for both police and citizens How issues are interpreted and justice served( repented bokoharam). All these are tied to the current structure of government. So if this protest does not get to the structure of this nation, i am sorry it is just like plastering cracks on the wall from a faulty foundation. After plastering, the cracks will appear again. So whatever is the demand must touch the structure else, its business as usual. |
I think #ENDSARS is leading to number 7. |
gbengaeed:And you assume SARS misconduct would have gone on this long without remittance to the IG? |
It no news that the north is in charge of our borders via customs, also incharge of our security via army, navy, police etc. Then the most lucrative which is oil via NNPC and oil blocks which 80% belongs to the North. While SARS is terrorizing youths in the south and extorting money, nothing is heard of the North. Is it also a way to milk founds from the southern youths and return to the North? Just thinking aloud. |
dlaw70:Haven't the federal government spent more in search of oil in the North than they gained? |
Charleys:I am not from rivers. Secondly the SARS issue is a symptom of the main problem (NEPOTISM) of this country. Just like Resources in the south are controlled by the North, the security agencies are also controlled by the same north. So SARS wont misbehave in the North. So until Nigeria is restructured, nothing will change. |
dlaw70:If zamfara gold can be mined by locals and purchased from them. Why cant the locals in Niger delta drill and sell crude oil to the state government? |
Funny how envy makes educated people turn to pigs. Looking for reasons why your own should not win, rather than reason why she should. |
Zamfara govt building reserve in gold — Governor The government says it has so far saved 31 kilograms of the refined metal. Governor Bello Matawalle has said that the state government has so far saved 31 kilograms of refined gold as a reserve for the state government. A statement by Zailani Bappa, the Special Adviser on Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications to the governor, said the move was meant to boost the financial base of the state. “Already, we have an offer of N5 billion from some interested partners to be supplying them with gold bars over a period of time,” Mr Matawalle revealed. “The Gold was wholly mined and refined by our local miners. It is a measure we are taking to ensure that the mineral resources in Zamfara benefit the people. Mr Matawalle said the government will continue to save gold for the state in designated banks, and ensure that the state gets the respect it deserves by having the security needed for any business transaction He said the gold was purchased by the state government and the idea is also meant to boost the trade in the state. The situation today is that a few people mine the gold, take it abroad and trade it out there without a single benefit for the people in the state. This is what we want to change,” the governor said. Mr Matawalle recently took some of the gold bars to President Muhammadu Buhari where the president said it was the first time anyone physically showed him the Zamfara gold. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/nwest/418831-zamfara-govt-building-reserve-in-gold-governor.html Who owns the Gold? |
Alot of people are falling into this trap daily. |
https://www.nairaland.com/6169867/police-phone-scam It happens. Let her get a lawyer and ask the owner to take the case to court. They cant prove all those things they claim in court. |
I read a story about a lady who was arrested for buying a used phone on this https://www.nairaland.com/6169282/how-nigerians-scamming-nigerians-used thread. I decided to shed more light from my experience. This is the major revenue generating business for the Nigerian police. They make millions weekly using this format. They go to crowded events and drop phones. They will wait till the phone has a new sim in it and then come to arrest the owner. My own experience. My gateman who has worked for us for over 3 years, very trust worthy. One day went to a brithday celrbration with friends because he is off duty on sunday till 6 pm. At the end of the event he picked the phone from a chair. Waited for 3 weeks for someone to call and claim the phone, but nobody called. He put sim in the phone and began to use it. A week later policemen came to arrest him and said he was involved in Armed robbery. When i asked the officers that came, they said someone house was robbed and his belongings were taken. The phone was part of what was stolen. When i came to the station the guy handling the case said the phone belonged to a guy who was robbed at gun point and valueables collected. That is when i began to suspect that this was a scam. The two stories did not match. I now asked what the solution was, they told me the total items collected from the phone owner was valued at about 1million, so the negotiation should be what i can pay from the 1 million items stolen. While i was there, 4 other people were brought for the same phone scam arrest. Then i realized this was a business the police was fully into. I told the officer that this guy is not a criminal and will never be part of any armed robbery of any sort. However the guy is from the north and has no relatives. If they want to keep him here for the next 6 months, nobody will come for him except me. And i am not ready to pay any part of 1 million from any alleged robbery. He slept there and i came the next day. The officers seeing that their trap did not catch a reasonable person said i should pay 25k for tracking and 25k for bail. I paid 50k and they released him and the whole bullshit story of the robbery died off. Now imagine this trap caught someone from the average family in Nigeria. The parents will be negotiation from 1 million to any millions they claim was stolen. They said the value of what was stolen was 1 million because he was a gateman. Imagine the amount they would call for other people. Assuming the 4 people that were brought that same day paid 50k each, thats 200k plus mine will be 250k. I am sure others will pay more than 50k because their parents came and were panicking when they heard about the robbery. But the way i spoke to the police officer, he knew that i was aware of the scam. And decided to collect 50k. So when they recover all the phones, they go out to plant them again. In a month, they will be making over 3 million naira from people. So share and let Nigerians know the new industry the police is using to generate revenue. |
Seems like i saw it coming . |
It always more difficult . |
UhnNah:Thanks for the information. So they do not put the 14 days quarantine rules into consideration in an application? Assuming i state 7 days. |
Hello gurus in the house. Does it mean any tourist application with the intention to stay 14 days and bellow does not make sense because if the quarantine rules? |
This government will not rest until it taxes the hell out of Nigerian businesses. The came up with the bank account self certificate. People protested and they now came up with this. All to tax already struggling businesses. |
jubilee55f:I hope you know that 70% Of bokoharam pledged allegiance to buhari when he took over. Thats why they separated from shekau. Thats the reason you have less bombs. If the 30% is causing this much trouble, imagine the full 100%. |
helinues:You have no idea how sophisticated and equipped, these guys have become. |
I seriously pity a southern Nigerian who would emerge president of Nigeria in 2023. With the level of insecurity we have on our hands now, especially in the North, the cloud of smoke from attack will make him be seen as incompetent. History will repeat itself and he will be called weak and incompetent like GEJ. The terror groups that were groomed in the North to make Nigeria ungovernable for GEJ, have grown bigger after Gej left office. The level of funding they have received since then till date is massive. They have also become so sophisticated and daring. See the way they are killing and kidnapping security agents, imagine what will happen if/when are southerner takes over power. Considering the effect of inexperience and poor management of the nations economy under this administration, the southern president will be caught between spending scarce resources to restore the nation or using same to fight terrorism. |
Ambode will regret not being an Obaseki. |
Do you think the threat of VISA ban helped with a free and fair election in EDO? Because im sure even the presidency is scared of the ban. |
Nice one. |
Buhari knows that the only thing that will fix Nigeria is a revolution. He is trying his possible best to get Nigerians to revolt, but we refuse. Increase fuel price, electricity tarrif, VAT, even going into peoples account now to tax them with the new self certificate form in banks. Pardon terrorists and pay them. Public display of corruption and looting under this COVID19. All this to push Nigerians to react. Yet Nobody send. So dont blame Buhari for a failed state. |
Is the list right or wrong? |
Finnese001:Seconded. |
Only a fool will believe they have not been mining and selling since. |
Who sent them? Their leader that has cashed out should be held responsible. |
