I wanted to know how coronavirus virus will be shared in Nigeria and Buhari's hometown will not get one. Just read the news about the doctor who died in daura and they taged him corona victim. Have they started tracing his contacts, or they just counted him to 3nsure daura is not left out of the loot?
HealthThe Reason Chinese Doctors Are Needed In Nigeria. by mekaboy(op): 8:10pm On Apr 06, 2020
I think the reason why we are inviting chinese doctors, is that our locals are not interpreting the test result well. I believe some who are not positive have been given a positive result why some positive are given negative result.

They need help with testing . This is my opinion.

I think federal government should give every state finacial support. Because giving to lagos will force other states to claim corona cases to make money. That way, we wont know who has and who has not.

Igbo business men sometimes tend to be the stupidest set of people in Nigeria.

During the Xenophobic attack, the FG turned against the igbos made derogatory remarks yet Airpeace flew in to rescue Nigerians.

Barely two months after AIRPEACE flew Nigerians out of the volatile SA regions to safety in Nigeria, certain elements in the FG actively SPONSORED an investigation AGAINST the same airline that just helped the inept FG rescue fellow Nigerians. These unscrupulous characters even went as far as inviting the FBI to look into Onyeama's records but their efforts all fell flat! They unleashed their hound dogs - Lauretta onochie and Bashir Ahmed on Onyeama as they tried and still try to discredit the management of AIRPEACE!

Innoson has been on the receiving end of insults, deliberate sabotage and a targetted smear campaign from the FG against him. Recently the media spokesperson for the FG openly ridiculed and insulted innoson using his twitter handle.

Now AIRPEACE has gotten involved AGAIN in helping the same FG that has so much hatred for the average igbo business man.

Ndi-igbo when would you learn your lesson?

Here is a screenshot of Bashir's insult toward the Innoson manufacturers
For you to rise to a national level in business, you have to think beyond ethnicity.

This has nothing to do with Dangote. Must all your arguments and examples be about Dangote?

Dangote not only gave money, but he's also building a 600 isolation center out of his own pocket and he's not asking you, innoson, FG or the Kano state government for money to buy cement, get your facts straight.

The fact is, well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians and even car manufacturers or assemblers like Innoson donated cars, ambulances, and money, but we are yet to si 1kobo or 1 single car or ambulance donation by Innoson.

Innoson can donate or just sit somewhere, it's not by force.
He has donated his plant to government. Only asking them to provide funds for raw material to produce for them . The scenario is like telling your countries army that you are available to fight for your country in the time of war. Though you are ready to fight, only a stupid government will ask you to go and buy uniform, guns and bullet with your money if you want to fight for your country. Making yourself available is one thing, being equipped for the battle is another.

Poverty is really a disease. Is dangote donating cement for building isolation centres? He can make cash donations. If government wants cement they buy from him. You learn to separate the person from the business.

The companies who will produce for US and UK also gave cost. US is buying masks from china and paying cash even before delivery. What are you talking about?

Get one thing right.
The US govt is in need.
Europe is in need.
Nigeria is not in need for ventilators to specifically combat corona FOR NOW.
The FG hasn't come out anywhere to say they're planning to purchase ventilators in mass proportions, but Innoson has offered to produce them without been asked.
Is he planning to dash Nigerian hospitals or what?

Let him tell Nigerians the bottleneck he is facing from doing so, so it can be addressed properly.
He cannot expect orders when there's no demand. If he foresees a demand, and wants to meet it then do so appropriately and not on social media.
It will make people more weary to do any business with him.
( We generally need more hospitals, specialists centres, beds, VENTILATORS, professionals/manpower etc as part of revamping the health systems in Nigeria) .
I'm sure mass testing kits may be even more appropriate at this stage for Nigeria.
Is it Nigerians that will place the orders or government. There is no bottleneck anywhere. That someone says he is available if you need the service does not mean he should start producing. If government feels there is no need to invest in ventilators now it's ok. But it's not innoson line of business but his plant can be modified for that.

Who cares what rubbish question you asked, it's in the article that the respirators and supplies we are sending a plane to China to get were provided through the courtesy of “a group of Chinese companies working in Nigeria.”, if you want their names, go and ask the minister.

The current FG did more for innocent that previous administrations combined, this is the time for him to pay back to the community and help Nigerians just like other well-meaning Nigerians are doing.

Instead of people asking the FG for money, they are donating and offering free goods and services. It is not by force to make ventilators so if ih can not make it or if he can not help Nigeria without getting paid, then he needs to sit down somewhere
Haven't government done much for dangote, otedola etc? He will make donations like every other. But if they want him to make ventilators , they pay for the cost of production. He pays taxes to government as well as his employees.

Let innoson go through the appropriate quarters to make his proposals and not social media.
I personally don't believe he is doing it for altruistic purposes, but strictly for personal gain.
So from what someone up there/ you're even saying, the 4 billion is even to modify his plant and not even for the ventilators themselves? That doesn't sound right at all, especially for a private business.
When he starts producing, that means we will still pay for the ventilators, after modifying his plant.
These are things that need to be discussed and negotiated, and that shouldn't be done on social media. Will the FG own part of the ventilator manufacturing plant after investing 4 billion? Does he want a private-public partnership?
That's not going to be done on social media if he's serious.
You can only assume online. Government know what they are running from. They know why they prefer to beg than consult innoson. Haven't he been supplying government with cars etc? Is ventilators more complex than cars?

Which business environment are you talking about?

There is enough market incentive for Innoson or any manufacturer interested in producing ventilators

Dangote has been capitalizing on that environment. No Nigeria govt gives Dangote a dime except allowing him to source his FX at govt rate with funds source from Nigeria commercial banks and foreign banks

Innoson got into this mess because no Nigeria bank will commit funds into any of his project again knowing what transpired between him and one of the most reputable banks in Nigeria GTBank.

His credit rating with Nigeria banks is very low
You are truly ignorant. Do you know how many times dangote was sole importer of products in Nigeria? When government makes you sole importer, it's more than cash. If banks to lend to a thriving business like innoson, is it you that they will give to?

There is no single day you will open a celebrity page where you won't see Nigerians begging including on pages of non nigerian celebrities.
So I'm not surprised, as those begging Tesla are from amongst us.
Innoson too on the other hand seems to be begging to make ventilators, which no one has stopped him from making . But why are people on here stylishly begging from the FG to make this happen?
He simply notified the government of his companies ability to produce should they have need. It's now left for the government to decide if they have need for it or not. But as usual, it's easier to beg internationally than produce locally.

The Same GM manufacturers that trump criticized are the ones he is depending on today. I hope it does not get to that in Nigeria.

Let him source for funds and start production .
Nothing stops him from doing so
Nigeria has always been short of ventilators anyway even before the covid.
He should make it up to standard, and many African nations including Nigeria will buy from him.
I personally just feel there is an agenda because of the billions donated by some Nigerian philanthropists, hence the insistence that money must be given to a private individual businessman to produce ventilators.
Quite a number of the money was donated to Lagos state government
Innoson should go and market his products, make proposals and submit to state governments in the country, hospitals both private and public, banks, churches and mosques etc. and not wait for Federal government otherwise he will wait in futility.
Many people want to donate funds for this pandemic but they are afraid because some conman in government will pocket it. He should try and sell his ideas so he can raise funds and a market.
He offered to help. He wont go through the stress of making ventilators because that's not his major product. Just like the companies abroad are not producing ventilators and hawking the streets. They have their primary products that the produce and sell.

So it's a matter of who needs them.

Stop comparing the ventilator needs of UK and US to that of Nigeria at this minute.
They never asked their indigenous companies to produce ventilators until their demands skyrocketed.
Even those companies did not want to get involved because ventilators are normally not everyday equipments you produce steadily.
But I absolutely agree Nigeria's health system is flawed and our hospitals are underequipped. We need more ventilators generally (even without the covid).
Any business man that wants to venture into that can do so, and perhaps even sell it to countries that need it urgently. Innoson should see it as a business and if it sounds like a viable production should go ahead and not wait for any mobilisation fees from the government.
Some portable ventilator prototypes have been done by some US universities and people are given access to them freely so they can build upon the design. It was made freely available as a humanitarian gesture during this pandemic
Why didn't the companies in US and UK see it as a business and dive into production?

Dyson never produced ventilators before the UK contacted them to produce. They ordered 10,000 ventilators that will still be tested if they will meet the requirements.

The world is running to china for ventilators. China works with innoson. Which is better, to join the cue in China and order a container for ventilators that might containe 20 pieces or the send a container containing parts for 200 ventilators and assembled by innoson?

modify your Dyson story to the fact that Dyson produced a prototype, before orders were made..... I don't see why there is an issue here. If you can do it, produce at least one or two and the orders will fly in.

This is not tribalistic it is basic business. If not every company that assembles anything will ask the FG for 4bn to produce ventilators.

If he really can do it, he should produce a prototype and present to the FG. If it is rejected without concrete reasons only then can we begin to condemn them.

And he should act fast, because while he is waiting for the Govt, someone else is preparing a prototype
Dyson was never interested in making ventilators till they were consulted. It was after they were consulted that they designed the new Covent ventilators. This will still be tested to ensure it meets requirements before they are used. The UK has already placed other for 10,000 and this is the first of the kind of ventilators. Which might or might not meet requirements. But they are willing to take the chance with a local company.

What has innoson done concerning his ventilator project? undecided

PS; I'm igbo before you start with tribal slurs!
Dangote is government and government is dangote. Secondly he built a plant to produce what he considered an opportunity in Nigeria. He did not just wake up and start building a refinery because there was few weeks fuel scarcity in Nigeria. Innoson is into plastics and other items as well. These are products which he knows will always have market in Nigeria. They are also affordable to most people in Nigeria. The companies contacted by boris johnson to make ventilators in UK are not into ventilators. Before you get a company to shift from their primary product to produce because of shortage you must show firm commitment . There is a reason why US companies are waiting on government support to produce.

What Bashir Amad said is right. Innoson and it's chairman donated billions to the government respectively on covid-19. So why ask for loan to produce what you stand to profit by ?
Most of the donations you read about are pledges. Most of them dont go and bring out the billions cash and deposit. Someone can make a pledge of 10 billion and pay 100,000 every month. That's how it's done.
