Chai, we have suffered, so this is the excuse that Chelle came up with it.
God help us.

Let us be very clear, a high pressure game is not new to the foreign pros.
We watch these guys, week in and out.

Even at that, he has up to five substitutions to make for outfield players, so what is he saying.
He can manage his team well for any high intensity game, if he is moxie enough.

This one gave him out big time.
I think I have been patient enough to gain proper discernment.

Eric Chelle should please do serious work on his knowledge of the game.

That was not how westerhof won the 94 nations cup. I think this idea needs to die. If you can displace a supposed foreign based player.. by all means... why not?

How will they get exposure if your starting 11 is always gonna be figured out?
NPFL players do not have the kind of drilling in tactics that many of the foreign base players have been exposed to.
Rohr complained so much about this.

In fact, NPFL players are still crude.

which sub was better, Iheanacho, moses or Musa. From the yesterday match, Iheanacho sub seems better than the other two. Moses came try to dribble the whole team as if he's Messi, after that he disappeared.
None was better.

I was screaming this all day
Even the Musa sub..
But then he didn't invite enough midfielders to start with
Our coaches have a serious midfield problem
Yes, his options in midfield was limited.
He takes the blame for it.

Or should we blame the NFF or members of this thread.

Considering the tempo of the game, the introduction of Iheanacho was a school boy error.
What was needed was a genuine midfielder, who can win duels and slow down the game with good controls of the ball.

And they can sometimes string over 5 passes before they lose the ball

Yes.

I see our improvement in hustling for 2nd balls, our lackadaisical approach to games seems to have reduced a little bit.

Our defensive rigidity is where we need to see more improvements.
We hustled for second balls under Peseiro.

Our intensity did improve, but to what end.
We still struggle to progress the ball from the back.

Osimhen - Italy Conquered

Now, he needs to Conquer Spain or England
If i am Osimhen, I will choose the place that i am loved and wanted the most, the reception he got even before he impressed,
but i am not Osmhen

Ndidi is the most overrated player to ever wear the national jersey, I'm yet to see the hype you guys see in the guy, yes he wins his fair share of duels but that's where it ends- modern DMs have to give more than just winning the odd duels here and there...Ndidi can't progress the ball, can't shoot, his pass stats are average and his ball retention skills are average at best.

I see a player like Uche Chrisantus and even Hamzat Ojediran and I believe we've found our gems in these guys if even a chance.
If Ndidi's passing stats are average, what will you say regarding the rest of the team.
From Ekong to Iwobi, they all misplace passes and are below Ndidi when we measure passing accuracy (I know this will come as a shocker)
Calvin Bassey and Bright Osayi are the only starters whose passing are clearly above average.

Raphael Onyedika and Kelechi Nwakali are pass masters in midfield.
Alhassan Yusuf and Frank Onyeka are good mentions (Frank Onyeka of Augsburg is looking like a different player)

Chidera Ejuke passes the ball better than all our forwards.

In all these formation you are drawing, if Ndidi is still your starting dm against South Africa you are going nowhere
Wilfred Ndidi is always underated.
That the eyes of many will see the work Wilfred Ndidi does.

Ndidi normally records the highest in duels won on both sides in most of our matches.
He used his signature octopus to win back the ball in our recent match against Zimbabwe.

We are looking to convince players like Tim Iroegbunam, Lesley Ugochukwu, etc, while we have a player like Hamzat Ojediran of RC Lens.
Why are we not considering an invitation for Hamzat Ojediran.
I consider Hamzat Ojediran a better pick, as things stands.
Ojediran game of passes and duels is superior to that of Iroegbunam and Ugochukwu as things stands. This can change in the offing, but Hamzat looks a better fit in midfield.

Why are we trying to convince players that we might not even use, if we are to cast sentiments aside.
We have Alhassan Yusuf, Raphael Onyedika, Hamzat Ojediran, etc.

If they want to commit to us, no problem, but let us not put too much effort trying to convince them.

Woke football fans of this Era be demonizing players with dribbling abilities.

They see players that can dribble as inefficient and ineffective yet ,dribbling is part of a player's creative abilities. That is how they hv demonized Ejuke as useless simply because he dribbles.

Back to Okocha, not only does he dribble,, he had other special skills too in incredible measure.

Short pass ✔️
Long pass ✔️
Set pieces ✔️
Vision ✔️
Long throw✔️ He's long throw led to our equalizer against Brazil at Atlanta.
Shot power✔️
Shot accuracy✔️
Tackles✔️
Impact on a team✔️

He is almost a complete player even without the dribbles.
Ejuke is Super Eagles most technical player.
His input defensively is commendable.
Sevilla will go on to concede after he is subbed off, it is now becoming a norm.

Under Gasperini, Ademola Lookman individualistic approach to play is being jettisoned for a performance that is more team oriented.
Chidera Ejuke's game should adopt a similar mould.

Fisayo has the one touch passing play that gives him more leverage to play in that position. Coupled with his off the ball movement to space.

Either way, I have really watched Uche properly but will check his play out.
FDB can be wonderful when it comes to recycling possession in very advanced areas of the pitch.
And he can be very tricky with his shooting.

However he doesn't create much, and doesn't defend much.
Accommodating him will bring about changes in midfield personnel.
We will struggle to win midfield duels if paired alongside Iwobi, so the both shouldn't start in midfield.

Playing FDB in a midfield that has Frank Onyeka and Kelechi Nwakali, or Kelechi Nwakali and Uche Christantus will be very good.

We should not judge him with his stats at Barnsley but that of chaves
Just see talk
Even when he was at chaves his stats was not impressive
Uche is doing it in La Liga
But we should leave Uche and think about Nwakali a bench player in English League two
You do not use goals and assists to judge a deep lying midfielder.
Please stop comparing Nwakali and Christantus, they don't even ply the same position as things stand.

Samueltemi337:
Zero assist
We shouldn't use that too?
Why not use his stats at CD Chaves to judge him. In a club and league that is rated higher.
It is too early to judge him at Barnsley.
You don't even judge the effectiveness of the role that Nwakali currently plays at Barnsley by the number of assists.
It is like assessing Wilfred Ndidi's effectiveness by just the number of assists he makes.

Watch him live, see the cohesion and coordination he orchestrates through distributive play.
The coach at Barnsley applies Nwakali more in defense and ball possession retention than offense that it is one of the reasons why his key passes are not as what it was when he plied CD Chaves.

Haha English third division midfielder over La Liga solid midfielder.
Let's wait and see him play more often in midfield to get a clearer perspective.
His passing and creativity doesn't agree to your notion of him as the missing link, as things stands

Their preferences and style of football are seemingly disparate.

But Nwakali is more important to the Super Engles.

Samueltemi337:
He is yet to show it
But Ejuke has?
The roles that Ejuke play is not the crux.
The emphasis is on creativity from the middle, and then the cohesion and coordination that distributive play can bring.
Kelechi Nwakali reigns in that.

We don't switch plays quickly, because we lack the midfielders with Kelechi Nwakali's type of vision and technique of passing.
These kind of players can mean a lot to a team.
