I don't know how u guys see this but i think this Nigerian team is really useless....basic footballing skills is not possessed by any of the players except maybe osimhen and I dare to say that without osimhen in this team, they will struggle to beat Tahiti or even Somalia...

Which kind team be this...
No intelligent play, no pattern, nothing.
Thunder fire anybody wey dey hope this team go qualify for world cup. Nonsense.

All they know how to do is to be doing content with that calister girl and her lesbian partner. Fools
Intelligent play is not a one man show, it is a collective play.
Blame the coach

They play in PSL, our boys play in the top 5 leagues. Ours Olisa Ndah who is one of the best in their league can't even make SE team. So why is trashing them so difficult. Can someone explain it for me. Or does it mean that playing in Europe doesn't mean that one is better. Make it make sense for me.
Coaching problem.

To be Genuine Honest there is Nothing special about Onyeka. There are no doubt about his ability to tackle and win duels but football is much more than than running around the pitch. His on the ball qualities are significantly less to nothing and that explains why his absence from the squad.Alhassan on their can push the ball upfront as well give decisive passes but may not be as rugged as onyeka.Coach chelle is known for high pressing game and is strictly interested in ball carries as midfielders hence his decision to go Hassan

Abi you will add Onyeka to Ejuke as part of the players who you have personal interest? Frank the Tank is my man.
Yes, looking at the qualities we can conveniently muster.
I am personal interested in certain players because of the qualities they bring.

I remember years back arguing with someone about Frank Onyeka and Philip Billing who is the better player.
My interest in Frank Onyeka has always been there.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Meliforme:
Frank Onyeka has a high tackle success rate of 82.6%, i mean 82.6%, This means that for every 5 tackles made, he is likely to win 4.

This is very massive.

This stat will likely turn the head of many football analysts.

Defensively and offensively he deserves to be there.

I see what he does.

If Chelle prioritises the game of passes, I think Ejuke should be one of the first names in his list of forwards.
Dude has completed more passes in his own half than any of the invited forwards, that tells that he can be key to play build up.
This is also one of the reasons why he is the most technical Super Eagles player.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Meliforme: 6:13pm On Mar 14, 2025
I have done a thorough analysis of our wingers in terms of what they offer offensively and defensively, and here is my grading:

Ademola Lookman
Moses Simon
Chidera Ejuke
Samuel Chukwueze
Nathan Tella

The grading was done based on the current form and the number of minutes played.

TheSuperNerd:
Let's just focus on the upcoming game.

Yes, Frank Onyeka's exclusion is a shock. He was Nigeria's best MF at the last Afcon. But then, there is some truth in the fact that the MFs selected are better ball passers than Onyeka.
Even at that, none of them does the "water carrier" job in the middle better than Onyeka. Either they match him or come close or are far off.

The biggest shock for me is Christantus Uche not getting his first true main invite to the GWG. He is of a profile that we don't have in the Super Eagles. A yaya toure regen and will also serve us in the final third as a powerful CAM with physical presence and high technical quality. But I believe his time will come eventually this year.

Good to finally see Igoh Ogbu getting called up. We need him at the back. His invite brings the Omeruo/Awaziem CB eras to an end.

Alhassan Yusuf is a player many love to throw shades at but again he is as workaholic as Onyeka and Ndidi and has more on-the-ball quality than both of them. The only issue is his diminutive stature. A bit lightweight which makes him extra aggressive in duels to make up for his small stature and it sometimes gets him carded for rough tackles. I like him but he is a MF we can drop too.

Papa Daniel... a local lad who happens to be the best of the bunch among the CHAN Eagles Midfielders. Giving him a chance is not a bad move but if you ask me personally who I am dropping to accommodate both Uche and Onyeka in the list, Daniel will be one of them.

Papa Daniel, Aribo and Yusuf.

I will drop 2 out of these 3 to bring in Uche and Onyeka.

In all, the list is the list. Chelle has finally revealed the first layer of his shell. Picking his first 11 is the next layer to unveil.

Soon, the shell over Chelle's introductory tactical approach for this team will fall off and we will know for sure.

Again, let's just focus on the upcoming game.
Frank Onyeka's overall game of passing is ahead of Joe Aribo's.
Frank Onyeka's forward runs will definitely affect his number of short passes and their precision, but even at that his numbers are good.
Frank Onyeka's long balls, crosses, etc are better than Joe Aribo's.

Whatever reasons that informed Eric Chelle's preferences will be manifest when we see his style of football.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Meliforme: 8:02pm On Mar 11, 2025
Eric Chelle's pattern of play will justify his player invitations.
Until I see what he does with the present crop of players, I will reserve any comments.

Eric Chelle's looks, reads seriousness,
but there is something about him that doesn't appeal to me.

Anyways, I just pray he wins, that is all that matters.

In the first half of the match, Real Sociedad against Sevilla, Chidera Ejuke won the most duels.
Little wonder, Real Sociedad players utilised the left flank for most of their attacking incursions when Ejuke was subbed out.

Dribbles completed per 90 in the La Liga has two Sevilla wingers in the top 4.
To add more goodness, these wingers also like to participate in play build up, with one of the wingers having a predilection to play switching.

I hope Garcia Pimienta can leverage on these abilities.

Oga roll it iut
Let me give you some

Victor Osimhen
He is currently the best Center Forward as it stands.
He brings more than just skills.

Ademola Lookman
He is an excellent forward and very complete in his roles as a forward player.
He is one of our most creative outlets
His form at the moment is scintillating.

Alex lwobi
Excellent in stabilising plays, and one of our most creative outlets.

Chidera Ejuke
He is very good at breaking down opposition.
He brings stability and manages himself well in tight spaces.
He is creatiive

Ola Aina
Ola Aina has grown in leaps regarding what he can do defensively.
His reading of the game and interpretation of spaces are now more mature.

Christantus Uche
There is a certain dynamism to his game that we do not currently have.
I can go on to spell them, but for paucity of time.

Kelechi Nwakali
Until we find a worthy replacement or someone even better.
He brings coordination and cohesion and provides a lot of options both in defense and attack.

There are more that I can mention, but there are certain uniquenesses that bear on the names on the list.

Well, both Rohr and Peseiro had average RECENT records before they joined the SE but they achieved meaningful success with us.

No matter how good a cook is, if you give her
2,000 naira to cook a pot of Ogbono soup, she will certainly do worse than an average chef given a budget of 500,000 naira to prepare the same dish.

No matter how skilled a coach is, if he keeps getting hired by poor teams with average players, there's little he can do. Chelle has never managed a team as talented as the SE before. Now he has a team with elite players in the best clubs in the world at his disposal.

Let's see how his soup will taste.
A bad cook is a bad cook.

Except maybe he might use part of the 500k to hire a better cook in his stead.

He is our Yaya Toure-MF Profile. No midfielder like him in our fold currently.

He started behind the striker today though before being pushed further forward after the striker got subbed out and was at the center of the action indeed even creating a few chances.

Like Nwakali being unique for his DLP profile, Uche is very unique as the closest MF profile to a Yaya Toure I have seen among our lads in the midfield pool home and abroad.
He played behind the striker which saw him more involved in play, giving Getafe more pre-eminence.
Getafe are not doing themselves any good keeping a profile like Uche isolated in the CF role. He needs to be more involved.
