Melly245 you shouldn't be having enough contact to make it bleed. You should just coat it and not rub in. If you are applying pressure of any sort, then bleeding is normal as you are irritating the exposed surface. Just coat it, no pressure. You mentioned that it hapoens only when you try to rub vaseline on it, if it happens without pressure from your hands, please see a doctor. Otherwise, stop the rubbing and just sort of glaze with a good chunk of vaseline.

@Melly245 it's not suppose to bleed o, Chai you just reminded me of that scene again. We did the ring type and it fell off on the sixth day. From the day of the procedure, all we applied was olive oil, every 5mins. After it fell off, I started applying Vaseline original.
Please take him to the hospital if it still bleeds.

Its not supposed to be bleeding like that. Tho babies r different n some do have family history of clotting deficiencies. U may want to speak wit ur paediatrician

B4 u start bathing him drop his bathing water like a tap on his pee. Pls no use spirit near it.
I ll suggest u use antibiotics ointment on it since its bleeding to avoid infection. Collect ennuff qty n coat it. Avoid friction on d area

@Melly245, I don't think it's spose 2 bleed o. My Ds did d ring type n it dint bleed @tall after d procedure till d ring fell. If d bleeding is not much myb it's d strain of him crying making it bleed. We used olive oil til d ring fell after few days. Sorry dear, dis 2 shall pass.

haaa your hansel na gentleman, mine feeds for up to 2h 30mins,still dey cry if you comot the brezz,exclusive breast feeding is a no no for us,as we don start to dey take NAN since. Make God help us.

My BS part 4
That's how the pain went on and for hours,there was no breathing space,i really needed help,sincerly i was tired,all my strength was gone,i couldn't breath anymore,i started shouting i wanted to poo, the nurse came in and checked only to tell me that my cervix was still close,and baby's head is still high,then i lost it all,what has been happening all this while, there was no improvement at all after all this hours of pain,na so i shout for the nurse oo,abegi go call doctor na so she vex comot,that was already 6am when it was 6:45 i started beging her to come oo,anty nurse come and check me ooo,pls call the doctor ooo abi the doctor don die all my strength failed me,i didn't know i could survive the next minute,i was just shouting Jesus, Jesus,Jesus... The doctor came in at exactly 7am,he checked and said he could see the baby's head,that i should push at the next contraction,i push and he assisted me my 4kg baby came out with no cut, just some tear at 7:13, Anty nurse brought out the placenta in less than 3 minutes.

BS part 3
We got to the hospital about 6pm then the contractions were now stronger and one minute apart and i was thinking i was very close to the end.
The doctor came in by 8pm,examined me and said the baby's head was still high and the contraction wasn't strong enough, he asked them to fix a drip, i don't know the name but either normal or natural SALINE,i don't know whether to say God punish or bless the persin wey invent that drip.
They never even fix am finish wen i begin shout,my waist oo,my chest dey hot ooo,anty nurse help me,Jesus help me,Holy Spirit help me,Blood of Jesus help me.
That was how the labour went on and on giving me less than 30 seconds to breath before it starts again,it was the most terrible pain i have ever had.

i don type tire everything wey i type just dey delete abeg we go complete the rest episode later

BS part 2
on Wednesday no show,on thursday that was my edd no show,the only exercise i was able to do was climbing stairs, i did it religiously morning and night, on friday morning during my stairs climbing i started feeling some cramps, that made my legs to cease at some point,after that i ate rested for a while and continued, i was so positive that i would fall into labour, after the exercise i went to lay down and the contraction kept coming,all this while i never thought i was in labour, later i felt the urge to pee,when i got up i saw drops of creamy water,was still wondering what it was when my cousin came in and asked me to pad up cos my water just broke,hmmmm i gave a sigh of relieve cos i believed that the journey of 9 months was about to come to and end. We took my bags and headed for the hospital at 4pm.

BS part 1
My edd according to LMP was 23rd, i went to see the doctor on Monday 20th and he told me my baby was big,and my blood was low,but assured me that all will go well,he asked me to go and come back on monday 27th if i dont see any sign till then.
I was becoming very tired,i wished i could just go to the loo and push my baby out,i couldn't exercise anymore and i needed it now more than ever.
I went to church on Tuesday morning for prayers and the pastor asked me when do you want to deliver, i didn't even think about it before i shouted THIS WEEK,and Every body started laughing,he held my hands and said my faith will make it easy and that this week will not pass until i deliver.

SITUATION REPORT ...

I'm getting much better by the hour... All the preggy aches and pains disappeared like magic... No more pelvic pain, breast pain, hip pain, spitting... All gone!!! But my cravings have increased oh...

I was able to sit up last night, and I passed gas yesterday evening and some more this morning...
Was given water to drink last night, and I'll be taking pap later in the afternoon...

I stood up this morning for a while, also sat on a chair and tried suckling my boy...

Catheter was also removed, but I'm still on drip and dem don use injection scatter my bumbum and thighs...

So, far, God has done me well and I'm very grateful...

Please, I'll drop my BS as soon as they take me off the drip, its slowing me down, as I can only type with one hand...
