MaziOmenuko: Gej threw the door open for a national convention last year, why were these issues not addressed in the convention? You think what you couldn't achieve in a round table will be achieved by force?
Who is marginalizing you? Are south east states governed by the Hausa/Fulani? Were Igbo's not holding lucrative ministerial positions such as finance, labor and productivity, health, aviation and power in the last dispensation? How many roads did the south east governors build? How many meaningful projects did they complete? You are here crying marginalization while our governors are busy looting us dry, the same set of governors that will grab power when ur fight for Biafra becomes successful.
Abeggii You keep shouting SE governors are looting, tell me which region where there leaders have not looted them dry also. why not you tell me what governors of other region accomplished for their own people? Like it or not we must continue to shout marginalisation until the issues raised are addressed. or can you tell me the reason why an anambra student will score 250 and denied admission whereas an ab0ki will score 90 and be admitted in same university? why discrepancy in UTME/cut off marks with that of SE callously high? what value has the quota system added to you when a qualified and more competent person is denied appointment in the name of quota system? or an unqualified ab0ki be made your boss in the name of quota? SE has 5 states others have 6 while NW has 7, why the unequal representation? and you feel these issues don't need be a dressed? That it wasn't achieved at the conference means you should fold your arms and be continuously trampled upon? and not sought for justice? Dont you see its because they enjoy the undue advantage thats why they(notth) want the status quo to remain? If you fail to see that these issues really need to be addressed then your case is beyond insanity |

MaziOmenuko: Agitating for Biafra right now is a misplaced priority. We should be agitating for good governance, responsible governors in the south east who can deliver dividend of democracy. Who are the Igbo leaders that will preside the affairs if the so called Biafra seems the day? The likes of T.A Orji? Achike Udenwa? Iwuwanyanwu?
This is the same way some overzealous peeps led us into war in the 60's and we ended up losing out on many things. Those in the 60's even seem more prepared than the jobless youths running around with flags right now.
What structures do they have in place to sustain a country? Let them ask south Sudan how they are fairing right now. stop sounding myopic and abysmally silly. What are the remote causative factors that gave rise to the renewed agitation? Issues bordering on lopsidedness, deliberate regional neglect, political marginalisation, unequal representation etc etc The fundamental issues are still begging to be addressed. I ask again, who is afraid of equity, fairness and justice?? What |

Of all your epistle, I didn't see anywhere you addressed the fundamental issues that gave rise to the renewed agitation for Biafra. Issues bordering on marginalisation, failure to implement the 3R after the civil war, deliberate neglect of the SE region from infrastructural devpt, absence of FG presence(ministries, departments, parastatals, agencies of govt). Refusal to create additional state for SE, uniform/discrepancy in admission requirements etc etc why is the Nigerian FG afraid of equity, justice and fairness? |

obailala: [s]The reasonable Igbos need to speak up, else the entire region will be classified together with the brainwashed urchins parading the streets. The Biafran idea is a dangerous gamble which will definitely set the south east back by several decades, there are lots of pre-requisites which need to be satisfied before any mention of secession should be made. This is not the 60's when there was a pogrom and the pogrom necessitated the instant secession decision; I still do not understand what the basis of this ill-though journey to perdition is in 2015.
I have tried to engage some of the separatists in simple debates on this issue, but their most of them have their brains on a lock down, emotions have beclouded their reasoning and there's nothing that can be said to yank them out of their perilous dream. More reasonable Igbos really need to speak up now, else we might just have another South Sudan in our hands[/s]. The ignorant and deluded will always think themselves reasonable with their myopic opinions. It is only daft people that will pretend not to know that the agitation borders more on the deliberate neglect of a region who for decades have suffered political oppression and marginalization, owing to the failure of the fg to carry out/implement true reconciliation, reconstruction and rehabilitation (3R's). Not to talk of obvious political lopsidedness and deliberate victimization that Igbos are made to suffer continuously. Down the decades, Igbos have complained and called for these issues to be addressed but these calls are rebuffed. Who is afraid of equity, fairness and justice?. What is wrong in asking to be treated equally? Those complains have gradually led to a renewed agitation for secession. If those honest complains were addressed ab initio, we wouldn't find ourselves in this current situation. It is only in a backward country that I see different laws/criteria/qualification for different regions/tribes. It is only you and your mind that are going through perdition and perilous journey. If a peaceful cum nonviolent as well as legal cum unarmed protest is what you call journey to perdition, while ignoring the remote causes of the agitation, then I'm sorry for you. Keep burying your head in the sand. |

okwadatigbogal: [s]I pray this Biafra never sees the light of day! Nonsense! What exactly are u idiots agitating for ? Almost all the ppl who want this Biafra are the broke asses from the east who are jealous of their fellow easterners success in other lands, so they want to truncate it by force. Almost all of them have never visited outside igboland and they sit down to talk nonsense, claiming injustice! How exactly do u want to fight and win this war?? Hehehe... u ppl are busy agitating and fighting in igboland when d so called war should be fought in other lands. How exactly do u want to control the so called war?? On which front do u want to fight? If u have balls..advance into other lands and see what will happen. In d civil war of the 1960s, the war was better controlled because migration wasnt that much, but as at today, controlling such a war will be very difficult because of heavy migration. Infact Igbos have the highest emigration rate in Nigeria. So if war breaks out, we will have d largest.casualty and we will definitely lose. We are not ready for any stupid war yet! We have no functioning seaport, no serious airport and other social anemities that will make it easier for us to wage war. A referendum will work better than dis war of a thing..because we will surely lose if war breaks out. You cannot fight war on many fronts and Igbos are scattered all over the place. Another issue is this unnecessary hatred between igbos and yorubas. What exactly is the cause of the hate?? I am igbo and d truth must be said. When u come to another man's land have some respect and regard for them. Why will u be claiming lagos is not yoruba land?? It is very bad and I cant blame yorubas for disliking igbos because of dis! Why dont u go and claim Kano?? because u know northerners don't take rubbish and they won't hesitate to kill u if u make such claim! Yorubas are naturally a tolerant ppl so making such claims has resulted to unnecessary bad blood. Besides..what's with all d crowning of eze ndigbo in every community?? Of what use are these useless traditional institutions in every single town outside Igboland?? There lies d problem of we Igbos! They cannot rule themselves and they hate being ruled! Biafra will be a disaster because the typical Imo man will never allow an anambra person rule over him and vice versa.the smaller states/tribes in d so-called biafra will suffer worse, because some igbo groups feel to big and they will never allow smaller groups or states lord over them. Igbos dont love themselvs at all...thats why u still hear stuff like osu, nwa nsukka, nwa abakaliki, and other derogatory comments we direct at each other. Besides Texas In the USA, is almost the size of the whole Nigeria! And d USA has over 50 something states and every one of them is working fine! America is the most diverse Nation on earth..yet they are doing really fine! So why cant Nigeria do fine?? I think the problem is the curse on the black man. Believe me...even if Nigeria is divided into local governments, there will still be ccontrovery and underdevelopment. We all in Nigeria and Africa need a change In mentality. We need to love ourselves more and look out for d greater good of all and not just ourselves and our families. Lastly, I pity any one that will come and cuss me out.. Just know that u are cussing ur stupid self. If ure not mature, pls dont respond to me. Ive got no time. And yes I am Igbo...and A proud one at that[/s]! |
