Transcorp is not a company you will invest and sleep. The moment any part of its subsidiaries becoming profitable, Mr Tony will carve it out and list it separately without giving any part to the existing shareholders, Transcorphotel as a case study. grin
Sir Chibuking81,

You can speculate for all you care but please for the sake of newbies be sure of whatever you are posting before you post (Especially when you are being specific). You have made a lot of these mistakes and I begin to wonder whether they are candid mistake or just you playing to the gallery. There may be newbies here that depend on what some people post here, we can sing "caveat emptor" as much as we want but they will swallow our post hook, line and sinker.

I take God beg you.

NB: I don't have any single unit of Transcorp Plc or any of it's subsidiary.

You may not know how powerful ogogoro is until you see a handwriting like that one.
I get his point though. His target has always been minimum 100% for late year entry, so he's trying to err on the safe side. His projections for DBN last year was 80k but he was forced to re-enter at about N1.20 (when information came out on their sale of subsidiary).

We will wait and see what happens this year.

owoblow77:
According to Nairametrics:
‘’Honeywell has two business segment, Apapa, and Ikeja and it seems its future is dependent on what happens in its Ikeja segment. Honeywell’s Apapa division oversees its more profitable arm, the flour business while the Ikeja division is where operations of its loss-making Pasta making business is located. Of the N11 billion in operating profit it reported last year, N10 billion alone came from Apapa. Currently, Ikeja is operating at a loss while Apapa again is leading the charge with N7 billion in operating profit.’’

‘’The company expects its new factory in Ogun State to come on stream this year (earlier scheduled for 2018 Q1). The factory is projected to raise the total installed capacity of the company by 150% at its completion and will include 4 pasta lines with an installed capacity of 125,000 metric tonnes.’'

Currently I own about 100k units of Honeywell Flour shares.
Now I want to invest about 2 million naira.
Please I need an insider to help answer the below questions.

1. Why is the company trying to scale-up a loss making pasta line?
2. Why not simply install the 4 new pasta lines in Ikeja, hence you save on assets depreciation costs, human costs, and other associated costs that comes with starting-up a new plant?
3. Is the technology on the new lines the same as the old lines?
4. Is there any major change to the pasta (finished products) distribution network?
For number 2, I don't know about the application of Pioneer Status to this segment but that might be a plan to get incentives for 3-5 years. Dangote has consistently done this over the years in his Cement Business. I may be wrong though.

My oga's will comment more on this. "Ancestor" Wanaj0 might be in the best position to answer all questions.

My oga I thought Veritas registrars is a subsidiary of Veritas capital
Veritas Registrars Limited was incorporated as Zenith Registrars Limited on 7th May 2004 to carry on Share Registration business in the Capital Market with a view to redefining registrar business in Nigeria

The company's name was changed to Veritas Registrars Limited in December 2013. The company started with a share capital base of N70m, and today has grown to N2.4 billion. We commenced operations precisely on March 21 2005 when we took over the management of the largest register then - Zenith Bank Plc from the previous regisitrar.

Oando PLC further sets the record straight that the Company, Oando, is not involved in the case and ruling made on July 6, 2018 by the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) on the case involving Whitmore Asset Management Limited, a company owned by Jubril Adewale Tinubu and Omamofe Boyo, Ansbury Investments Inc., owned by Gabriele Volpi and Ocean and Oil Development Partners (OODP) BVI Ltd, is owned by all three parties Wale Tinubu, Mofe Boyo and Gabriele Volpi.
Head of Corporate Communications for Oando, Alero Balogun, categorically stated that “the ruling by the LCIA does not involve Oando, as Oando was not and has never been party to the arbitration, the ruling states that Whitmore and Ocean and Oil Development Partners are indebted to Ansbury Inc, nowhere is there mention of Oando PLC. It is critical that people understand that not only are we not involved in this dispute, we do not owe money to any of the parties involved. The continued mention of our name in what is a 3rd party dispute is unfortunate and damaging to the brand and shareholder value
I am not too bothered. Still looking for the bottom.
I was expecting Oando PLC would issue a corporate notice on NSE website as regards this today but they failed to do so. People were mis-interpreting the news. Let it drop lower jare. Maybe na this one go give us that Agba's guaranteed 100% return in 2 weeks.
