Until we see one, we can't be too sure but I believe that the DNA test will reveal a diversity of roots because some Urhobo clans are peopled by those of non-Bini descent, notably Ijaws, Itsekiri and Igbo. However, the majority may be traced to Bini roots, and Bini DNA may be traced to Dahomey, from where many Yorubas are believed to have originated from.

So get the facts rights and stop distorting history here. I have benin roots, but Oba Olua did not sent his son to rule over anyone. He sent him to find safety. And because Ginuwa's was destined to be king, providence made the Itsekiris, crown him as king...they were charmed by his princely attributes and they made him king, he didn't ask for it.

This is why in Benin there is an adage that, "the head that is destined to be crowned cannot be stopped by any evil force"

The Oba title originated from the Edos in case you don't know. The first most telling revelation about Oduduwa's ancestry is from Oduduwa himself a Bini prince and first king of ile ife.
