Dalmar continued. “We are undertaking an elaborate plan and we will need lots of resources. Besides I believe you have received several test subjects to use in the experiments you have been performing. “
“Yes that is correct. But I’m still worried, the risk of exposure is too great and besides they are all inmates at the Afterlife, on death row and had all undergone psychological conditioning. “
“Well the risk of exposure is minimal as measures are in place to keep that from happening. Besides I intend to use most of them as distraction and only few of them will fit in to our major plan. So Jeffrey don’t worry about that. There are more pressing issues that requires our attention. “
“Yes I’m aware of that. “ Jeffery moved his chair to another part of the table as Dalmar followed.
“So what is the update on the remains of our ex colleague? “ Dalmar asked.
“The news is good, though I only recorded a partial success. Come with me. “ Jeffery said as he moved away from the table and headed to another door beyond it. The door acknowledged him through a voice recognition and opened to allow him in. The sign at the top lentil of the door reads “Medlab”. The medlab is a very wide room seeming to extend even further than the one they just left. Lots of medical looking machines were arranged in orderly row. Further inside are metal human sized capsules with glass covers were connected with several thick life support wires and data cables linked to monitoring machines.

Hey guys, on a lighter note, let's talk about how our writing process goes. Do you take anything for ginger/inspiration? You know, sometimes when you have writers block and you just have to write, do you take anything or do anything to get your creative juices flowing.

I believe at least 80% of us here are adults, so let's not be shy. . I know some writers listen to music, some take alcohol, some smoke something (you know that thing), some have sex or think about sex, some draw energy from memories of a breakup or a sad event in their lives, some get driven by the thought of money and fame at the end of the line, some watch movies in the genre they write in, etc.. What is your own source of inspiration for writing?


So, let me go first. I have noticed that for me, when I write while sipping a bottle of Legend Stout, I write FASTER and I am more creative. Ideas just keep flowing in and I never get blocked. Hey, this is me o! We are all different and live different lives. So, it might not be the same for you. And please don't judge me if you don't drink alcohol.

The second thing I do is watch lots of American Romance comedies. I get lots of ideas for stories from watching those movies, and I also get this strong urge to write.

So, guys, let's hear from you...what is your writing process like? Do you take or do anything to enhance your writing.

I have been writing all my life, and professional, I have been writing for at least 10 years, so I have every right to want to earn something from my works. I have 16 stories (1 novel, 10 novellas and 5 short stories) on nairaland... All completely available for free.

I love writing, and I love giving out my books for free too. But at some point, I think I should think of monetizing my works.



"...but will advise that you start with short stories and then ease your way into the market also competing in literally competitions may bring you closer to your ambition."

As I said before, I have been writing all my life. I have at least 30 stories on my laptop. I don't mind giving up all my stories for free. But I think me and some other writers out there need to earn a living from our works evidently. And I am looking for that way. Simple.

The people of Nigeria are too distracted to focus on reading. This is what I think not what I know for certain. Struggling with survival means gives 'reading of books' little time and attention.
