lagostokd:

Seriously serious, I never knew of your extreme stupidity before this thread (apologies for the word stupid )
Wait... let me lecture you What makes human male or female are the differences in body... A man/woman is made up of the body, spirit, and soul. The body was made of sand and will decay, then turn back to sand after death, the spirit lives forever.
Man was made in the image of God and woman was made from man (just the body) but we all share the same spirit form as a result of same breath of God whose name is Yahweh. (Read the creation story in Genesis 1 and 2).
The moment man or woman dies, there is no more gender difference that is why there won't be marriage in heaven (Mathew 22:30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.)
Note the bolded from Jesus' quote- they will be like the angels of heaven
There are no female angels
The Greek word for “angel” in the New Testament, angelos, is in the masculine form. In fact, a feminine form of angelos does not exist. There are three genders in grammar—masculine (he, him, his), feminine (she, her, hers), and neuter (it, its). Angels are never referred to in any gender other than masculine. In the many appearances of angels in the Bible, never is an angel referred to as “she” or “it.” Furthermore, when angels appeared, they were always dressed as human males (Genesis 18:2, 16; Ezekiel 9:2). No angel ever appears in Scripture dressed as a female.
The angels named in the Bible—Michael, Gabriel, Lucifer—had male names and all are referred to in the masculine. “Michael and his angels” (Revelation 12:7); “Mary was greatly troubled at his [Gabriel’s] words” (Luke 1:29); “Oh, Lucifer, son of the morning” (Isaiah 14:12). Other references to angels are always in the masculine gender. In Judges 6:21, the angel holds a staff in “his” hand. Zechariah asks an angel a question and reports that “he” answered (Zechariah 1:19). The angels in Revelation are all spoken of as “he” and their possessions as “his” (Revelation 10:1, 5; 14:19; 16:2, 4, 17; 19:17; 20:1). As brilliantly condescending as you are, you have failed to explain in whose image the woman was created, pay attention to your words: "Man was made in the image of God and woman was made from man (just the body)" Does that imply woman was made in the image of man? If the only difference between male and female is just in the body, how come Angels have only male bodies? Since there is no woman in heaven as all angels are male, is it safe to say heaven is "same sex" place in a sense? Does it mean women will be transformed to males on getting to heaven to get their heavenly reward? If so, why the bias against transgendered folks on earth? How does, "as in heaven also upon the earth" (Mathew 6:10) fit in this context? Besides, your argument still bolster the dominance of male both on earth, in heaven and in the Trinity. I guess that means the female should go and do the needful to herself. |

Who elected the King of Kings? When was the election?
Its either you don't understand things easily or you're willfully ignorant or rather blinded by your false self belief because I explained in my earlier post about the different gods worshiped in different cultures and tribe. Anybody can worship any god, the choice is yours! The most high God doesn't need your worship to be God. He was God even before creating man and other things - in fact, if men don't worship him, he can raise up stones (give life to stones) to worship him. You said he is King of Kings, you are in a better position to tell me who the other Kings are? Neither would he need you to defend his claim to the title of God of Gods nor be so particular about being worshipped? If Lucifer was vained in coveting the title, Yahweh must be vained in demanding to be worshipped to the point of threatening to raise stones to worship him. Must you resort to insult to defend your points? What do you mean by "false self belief?" |

lagostokd: The problem with most of you guys is too much knowledge without understanding!
The word 'God' is not a name The word 'God' is not a name The word 'God' is not a name I hope you get the emphasis now...
The word 'God' is not a name but a title (a position) just like the word 'President' Anybody can bear 'President' but the question is 'President of which country?'
Anybody/deity could bear 'God' but the question also is 'God of what?'
The Yoruba race, long before Christianity or Islam was introduced into Yoruba communities understood these things very well...
There are many Gods in Yoruba culture...
Sango - God of thunder Ogun - God of Iron, etc
But with all the numerous Gods in Yoruba culture, the wise Yoruba still understood that there's a supreme God called 'Olorun' or 'Olodumare'
In Athens, many years ago, they also understood what the Yoruba culture understands. Athenians worshiped many Gods but still understood there's a supreme God - they didn't know the name of the supreme God but labeled him 'THE UNKNOWN GOD'. (See Acts 17:23)
All tribes and cultures worshiped different Gods but there's only one God of Gods, King of Kings, the creator of heaven and earth whose name is YAHWEH @bolded, And what makes you think no other God can make the same claim, since those are equally titles? Besides, King of Kings, God of Gods connotes an elective position, just as any member of Parliament can be elected Prime Minister by other parliamentarians. So Yahweh that was known to the Hebrews becomes the Unknown God of the Greeks? How many Gods do you know? How do you account for the Gods Unknown to you? |

VivaDeAngelo: 14) The fundamental human rights of El-Zakzaky has been denied him till today. Remember, he is a human being like you and I. And he is an Igbo man, or his modus operandi is IPOBic, I guess? 15) In keeping with his 97% and 5% policy on treatment of Nigerians, President Buhari's first top appointments totalling 48 had no Igbo person from the SE region.
Recall, also, that in a diverse and heterogeneous country like Nigeria where we still have Arewa Consultative Forum, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Ijaw People's Congress, and Oodua People's Congress, with each organisation looking and speaking out for and on behalf of their region, Igbos have no representation during National Security meetings. And those organisations speak out for their regions at the National Security Council meetings, except Ohaneze Ndi Igbo? 16) The SE region is the only region with 5 states and the total number of Local Govts in the region probably equals that of Kano and Jigawa put together. Considering the "feeding bottle" system in Nigeria, does this not amount to You mean the whole of SE is not up to the size of Kano and Gigawa states combined, yet is a region? 18) Are you aware that the gas pipeline that feed Lagos industries from oil and gas fields in neighbouring SS region totally excluded SE states and cities? Remember that SE, unarguably, has the highest number of Indigenous industries in Nigeria. I thought it feeds the ones in Kano also? 19) Of course, I am sure that you are fully aware that the neighbouring seaports at Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, and the inland port at Onitsha have been rendered comatose, while Lagos ports are the only ones working. In-fact, Badagry seaport is already being developed. This is despite the known fact that over 70% of businesses in the Lagos ports are done by SE and SS indigenes. That is still part of PMB's 95% and 5% policy. 20) Do I need to bring up the fact that despite the devastations wrecked on the SE region during the war, there has been no concrete steps towards rebuilding the bombed and destroyed infrastructures more than 47 years after cessation of open hostilities. Meanwhile, even with boko haram still very much active in NE, the NE development commission is already in place with several billions budgeted for their activities. SE development commission? Sorry, represent the bill next century. Another And it took you 47 years to realise you need a development commission to rebuild? Or just taking a cue from NE? Let me conclude by asking, peace, love and justice, which one comes first? |

Lol well you want interpretation and I will give, In verse 56 Jesus Christ said that there father Abraham was glad to see him' which he was literally saying that he exist even before the era of Abraham, and Abraham saw him after he(Abraham) die, and when the people hear that they ask him how can he claim he saw Abraham even though his not even up to 50 year old, which literally bring about his statement in verse 58, which state "even before Abraham was, I was and I am(hmm infinity invading time". Did you know the statement of the people?verse 59 "they said he claim to be God Almighty" LOL common have you gotten your interpretation now? Why is the Female not represented in the Trinity of the Christian Godhead, yet Christians are against people with same sex orientation?
Does Islam have a Female counterpart to Allah? Since Muslims are promised female virgins in Paradise, maybe there is in Paradise. OK, what if Allah is not in Paradise but in Heaven? Or is it a wrong assertion that Heaven is different from Paradise?
Which is most appropriate "the hermaphrodite God" or "the homosexual God" in describing the sex orientation of the God of our chosen religion?
The sexless God sounds apt to me, though it raises the question of male dominance and female exclusion from the Trinity. Does this informed the subjugation of the female in the affairs of men and their relegation to the kitchen and the other room activities?
You are the Cosmic Joker if you think of your God as Father denoting male gender when your God ought to be sexless to fit the status of a God. |

Gourdoinc: not having a functional seaport is not an attack by other tribes on igbos, but a reflection of the failure of igbos to play politics appropriately. we supported Jonathan and yet couldn't get him to do something like that which will benefit our region.
the simple way of achieving that now is simply through restructuring, we will simply ask investors to partner with our akwa ibomites neighbors to develop that seaport to enable boost in trades and investment. we won't need to beg the north again, because even they will be interested in having such a seaport working for their export I agree with you, That will bring about a win-win situation. Get out of this thread since you cannot refute the fact that the God of heaven and earth whose name is Yahweh is not the same person as the Islamic God Allah In a rational arguement of this nature, it is idiotic to claim Yahweh is the God of Heaven and Earth, because to the Romans, Greeks, Sumerians, Egyptian, Indians, Arabians, Chinese, Mayans, etc they had their own God of Heaven and Earth. Yahweh is the God of Heaven and Earth when we view things from the Hebrew perspective, but Allah viewed from the Arabian, or Amen-Ra from the Egyptian, or Brahma from Indian, or Quetzalcoatl from Mayan, Anu from Sumerian, ... Perspectives. Since they all refer to the "God of Heaven and Earth," it begs the question, why only Yahweh should be different if he is also the "God of Heaven and Earth?" Unless "God of Heaven and Earth" is a title that change hands over the aeons. If you can, decode what was said in the Matrix :- Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. But why can't we take advantage of the greatest energy in the whole world that the ever merciful abundant And most intelligent Father has blessed man with? An unlimitable force which no matter, tradition, force, space, law, feasibility, and conditions can limit. I was meditating on this, and came to the awareness that it is possible to experience life on earth and heaven alternately, Though some people, entitled to their own opinion, will disagree. I rise to explain. In our "wake" consciousness, we experience all aspects of earth life in the earth body, But in our "sleep" consciousness we change into a different body to experience life in another dimension. What if we can or could experience life in heaven during or in our "sleep" consciousness? Since "Energy is neither created nor destroyed but transformed from one form to another," so also, Consciousness is neither created nor destroyed but transformed from one state of awareness to another. Caveat: Heaven in the context of this article is subject to the reader's definition. |

The problem is we have chosen to limit that unlimitable force to a particular religious practice and belief system. Scientific methods alone are not enough to tap into the Unlimited Force available to man neither can religion alone offer methods to access it. Since we are talking about an Unlimited Force, there can only be an unlimited number of ways to access it. We should not limit it to our limited knowledge and understanding. |
