femi4:So Sarah''s inability to conceive was converted to family planning? Yea, you are right, that is why Jacob had 12 sons from 4 women. How many daughters had he? Religion is a major program in the matrix of illusion that controls how we think, act and live. As for the Muslims more sperm to you. |
THT80:You are right, our ideas about gender evolves but not up to the Trinity. It is morally right to see and treat the female as inferior and less than the male even within religious circles, right? People are so obsessed about atheists that we fail to see how absurd some of our fundamental tenets and beliefs are. I have asked the same question several times yet no cogent answer is given: why do we speak of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit but nothing about God the Mother? You are talking about the basis of making right moral decisions, when the very foundations of your morality is not clear. The morality and authority of the Christian is derived from the Trinity that has no place for female gender, how morally right is that? You say gender issues are not just religious, I am very much interested in how religion answers the gender question, because the society draws its conventional norms from there. |
bloodofthelamb:God is not flesh yet is thought of and ascribe male gender, why? Or are you saying the Trinity is flesh that is why it is all male, since the Spirit is genderless? |
bloodofthelamb:Does it make sense to have Father and son without mother? |
ScienceWatch:Sorry, I don't get you. |
bloodofthelamb:Image of which God? a) God the Father b) God the Son c) God the Holy Spirit |
Good. Then endeavour to explain: 1) the morality of women subjugation and inequality. 2) the absence of female gender In the Trinity. Morality of good/evil as opined is still an extension of the concept of duality that pervades all creation but is missing in the all male Trinity and in heaven. |
bloodofthelamb:How does that answer the question I asked? |
. |
Ericsunday619:was I talking morality? Besides, logical reasoning and critical thinking are not requirements in our religious belief or practice, though the Bible says we should "reason together" |
Hhhhhmmmmm Education, marriage, career. Are those the only things that define our lives? How do feminists reconcile their worldview with their religious beliefs, specifically Christianity? Untill we have a female in the Trinity, feminists should forget it. |
JackBizzle:Does it matter when the Bible was written? If the notion of women being disregarded as you claim is outdated, what stops us from revising it to reflect the truth. That the female gender is suppressed and subjugated in religion tells a lot about the all just God we claim to worship. Besides, I don't buy that because women had always played leading roles in the world from time immemorial, even in bible history. |
The way I see it, people are beginning to see through the blindfold of religion. It's only religious people that are scared of taking a good look at what they believe in relation to the life we live that are shouting atheism is on the rise. Here is a poser: why is the female gender not represented in the Trinity yet we want equality for women? |
manikal:Ego is not the word to use, try Consciousness. Is the tree a living thing? Does living things have consciousness? Does the tree have consciousness at its level of existence? It is the Ego that makes us think we are different or superior to the tree and other living things or beings. Yet when we look at our DNA and the tree's DNA it's the same. How then are we different or superior, when we share the same DNA buildings blocks - nucleotides? The Bible talks about Jacob's ladder that links to heaven, can you see any correlation between that and the DNA? @bolded, that is exactly what I meant, I didn't misunderstood you. @underlined, that is what is expected of the consciousness manifesting as manikal to attempt. Not just the word but the concept as presented by the Church. |
I have come to understand something, governments, telecos, petcos, etc are corporations or corporate entities and operate under commercial law which is devoid of morality or any human feelings... |
manikal:So it took you 13 weeks to see the point? better late than never. As you said, there is time for everything. Some people are too myopic or scared to contemplate certain things, as it will scramble what they were made to accept as truth. I put up an article about the monetization of social media, which was deleted. Why? Because it violated the accepted conventional norms by questioning what we hold sacrosanct. Now that you have seen yourself in the chair and as the tree, Meditate on the Trinity and why there is no female gender there, yet we pray God's will be done on earth as in heaven. start first biz with $50 in 2012 bought first car in 2008 no help from any man except pregnancy what did she do to get money to buy car in 2008? she is not even a baby mama, since there is no mention of the child's father anywhere, meaning she is a ... what or where is the inspiration when the business she CEOed with $50 is not mentioned? she just inspired more questions than answers as to how she did it, without help from any man, not even her pastor, imam or babalawo? |
From my perspective, light is what sustains life (and vice versa) and the sun is not the only source of "light". From the sun with its orbiting planets to the electrons in their orbital, the same "light" principle can be observed. Somewhere between the sun and the electron stands the "enlightened" man that lights up the world. |
akinade28:And to be Christlike, you must first of all act like Jesus by questioning some things, e.g. why the "priests" are turning the "house of God" into a mall? |
bakila:Maybe you misunderstood me, I posted here and it was deleted, what makes you think it would not be deleted again, if I repost? |
ishowdotgmail:Laughs! And what is the man's business prophesying to people? |
How could a spiritual being demand for material things from man. The concept and practice of tithing is the device of men to live parasitically off of other people, who are either ignorant of the nature of "God" or are cowed into it. Unless we are saying the God that demands for tithe is a material being that needs material things for sustenance. |
bakila:That depends on what you mean by "important" You told me to do something and I pointed you to where you can find that I did it already. |
bakila:Yes, I did just that if you check my signature. ![]() |
It's only the God Yahweh and God Allah, that judge and they don't know everything. This position is a fact as contained in the Bible. The God that knows the end from the beginning should have known: 1) what the Serpent God is about to do - giving the knowledge of good and evil (knowledge of duality) to Eve. 2) where Adam was hiding instead of looking for and calling for Adam. 3) how many righteous persons are left in Sodom and Gomorrah without need to debate the number with Abraham 4) that Sodom and Gomorrah were a decadent place without having to go down to do on site verification. The God that knows the end from the beginning is the Unknown God, with the Serpent God of Wisdom coming second, who know there is no point judging you, for whatever decision or route you take will eventually led you to a state of unity where duality (good/evil) does not exist. |
IJOBA2:I guess by now you should know there are things you can't say on nairaland, which informs the idea to swear allegiance first before commenting on some topics, any attempt to by-pass that would cause your comments or thread to be deleted. Besides I am enjoying the freedom of movement in my Nairaland prison cell, it's better than out right ban. ![]() |
IJOBA2:It's already recreated, follow the link in my signature. |
bakila:So some sections of Nairaland are sacred? If Nigeria is a secular country, and we are expected to live, debate, and work together irrespective of religious affiliations. What is the justification for forcing people to take Islamic oath before commenting on some issues on nairaland? Meaning you are free to roam within the confines of your prison cell. |
How can we have freedom of any kind in Nigeria when in an anonymous community like Nairaland opinions are stifled by the ruling elite MODs? Where You have to swear your allegiance before your can comment in some sections. I posted an article "monetization of social media" and probably said some things that got under someone's skin, the article was deleted by a MOD in less than 10 minutes of posting. Mind you, the article contained no explicit language, pictures or hate speech in any guise but questions some may be scared to even think of. Check my signature for the link. |
Based on the contents of an article, "the monetization of social media," that I posted on Nairaland that caused it to be deleted by MODs , Is now available on lulu. Find out how you can make money while having fun on social media, and what is stopping you from doing so as of now. Here is the link to the article. Enjoy. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/Menxer |
Primebuilders:And so what have you said? Nothing. |
