For those asking for war, battle and stocking of guns. Have you experienced warfare before? Do you think owning a gun and learning how to shoot is what war is all about. The western world knew everyone has caught up with them in the the production of guns and other weapons, therefore explored the use of modern warfare called artificial intelligence and biochemical weapons.

I was at Ife during the ife modakeke war and there were cases were guns were being fired sporadically without anyone seeing the shooters. Ordinary eggs were converted to bombs by mere utterances. My family had to abandoned my aunt who advised us to leave the area. On linking the road that leads to Ibadan we reported the shootings to the military guys deplored by the Fed Govt they only told us we should forget about that side that they don't fight that kind of war.

What am I trying to say here. Guns may work for a region but when you go to meat another man in his territory don't forget you may encounter a different style of warfare which you've not been exposed to.

It is not this tribe or that ethnic region that is the problem. The problem is with the few corrupt ones up there. If we could focus our energy on how to eliminate this few. Then we can have a sovereign national conference where we'll decide whether we should continue as a nation or divide.
This particular person whose senseless post informed your response has never experienced any type of war in his young life. I will even go as far as saying he has never been faced with bodily harm in his life. Thanks to his sheltered upbringing.  You are best served ignoring his childish delusional rant disguised as some sort of intellectual riposte to this very important topic.

In peace, sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons. He wants the former for himself and the latter for the rest of us. What an evil, selfish mind!

Never seen a man this sensitive in my life.  He craves attention like a b/u/m craves cheap liquor. grin

But your post does speak to him though. He advocates violence, yet he is firmly rooted in Cali, millions of miles from Nigeria. He knows whatever the outcome, he is insulated from it. That tells you a lot about the kind of person he is, evil, manipulative, coward, maniacal, sensitive biatch.  SMH
Yoruba is one of the four official languages of Nigeria and is a member of the Niger-Congo family of languages. It is spoken by about 22 million people in southwest Nigeria, Benin, Togo, the UK, Brazil and the USA.

Yoruba first appeared in writing during the 19th century. The first Yoruba publications were a number of teaching booklets produced by John Raban in 1830-2. The person who made the biggest contribution to Yoruba literacy was Bishop Ajayi (Samual) Crowther (1806-1891), who studied many of the languages of Nigeria, including Yoruba, and wrote and translated in some of them. Crowther was also the first Christian bishop of West African origin. A Yoruba orthography appeared in about 1850, though it has undergone a number of changes since then.

You are a cretin for not seeing the argument when a fellow cretin like you condemns people about for feeling like if they know the future while predicting the future himself.

Mooron!
What's all this gibberish

English only please!

'Me is speaki no Spanglish!'

Make it short, succinct, and clear please.

Now try again. You can do this Sagamite. I believe you can do this. Just give it a try. I understand English is not your first language. Heck, not mine either. As a matter of fact, we are all life-long ESL students ( you more so than the rest of us). But you can make yourself a lil clearer. Just a lil!  It shouldnt be that hard. The mumbo-jumbo you typed up there doesnt do your NL cred any good.

Dont give up on me Sagamite. This is what I think you should do; Relax ( give yourself a hand-job if you have to), breathe in, breathe out ( normal breaths only, nothing too crazy), think through what you want to say, write it down, read it aloud to yourself at least 10 times, go to the nearest library, pick an ESL book, brush up on your syntax, correct your grammar errors (you may want to ask for help on this one), sleep on your first draft, dot your 'I's, cross your 'T's,  revise your first draft, then come back here and retype your thoughts.

That said, knowing your limited intellectual ability, I dont expect your 'riposte' to be all that great, but it, definitely, should be better than the crap you have up there.

Warning issued for Americans in Nigeria

Lagos, Nigeria (CNN) -- Following an outbreak of violence that left more than 100 people dead, the U.S. Mission in Nigeria issued a warning to Americans on Sunday, saying more attacks may be imminent in the northeastern part of the nation.

"Following the recent Boko Haram, aka Nigerian Taliban, attacks in Borno and Yobe State, the U.S. Embassy has received information that Boko Haram may plan to attack several locations and hotels in Abuja, Nigeria, during the Sallah holiday," the mission said. Sallah is the Nigerian name for the Eid al-Adha Muslim holiday.

The Muslim militant group Boko Haram's stated goal is to establish a state based on Sharia, or Islamic law, in the predominantly Muslim states of northern Nigeria. Loosely translated, the group's name means "Western education is sinful."
According to the U.S. mission, other potential targets may include the Nicon Luxury, the Sheraton Hotel and the Transcorp Hilton Hotel. U.S. government personnel were instructed to avoid those locations, and any previously scheduled events were canceled.
"American citizens should expect additional police and military checkpoints, additional security and possible road blocks in Abuja for the foreseeable future," the mission statement said.

Attacks have targeted police stations, mosques and churches in northeastern Nigeria, the Red Cross said. There was no official claim of responsibility from Boko Haram.
Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday called for an end to the violence during his weekly Sunday Angelus prayer.
"I am following with apprehension the tragic episodes that have taken place in Nigeria over the last days," the pope said. "While I pray for the victims, I invite an end to the violence, which doesn't resolve the problems but increase them, sowing hatred and divisions even amongst the faithful."
Scores of people, potentially more than 100, were injured in a three-hour rampage in the Yobe state city of Damaturu, according to Ibrahim Bulama of the Red Cross. More than 100 people died in what he described as "a very bad scene." Bulama initially said 63 people died, but revised the death toll upward Sunday.
Gunmen first attacked the police headquarters and the anti-terror office before moving to churches and mosques, he said. Most of the casualties were police officers.

In Potiskum, also located in Yobe state, gunmen attacked a book shop near the police station, killing two and injuring five, the Red Cross said.
Nigeria's main opposition party, the Action Congress of Nigeria, said in a statement Sunday it was "horrified" at the attacks.
"It is now apparent that those saddled with ensuring the security of lives and property in the country are grossly incapable of doing so, hence the need to shake up the security agencies and put more capable men and women in charge," the statement said. "The shake up must not spare any of the security chiefs. This is about taking responsibility."

The Friday attacks came the same day that suicide bombers suspected of belonging to Boko Haram targeted a military base in nearby Maiduguri.
Three suicide bombers drove a stolen black SUV toward a Joint Task Force headquarters, but could not get through the gate, military spokesman Lt. Col. Hassan Mohammed said. The blast damaged the roofs and walls of the base.
Mohammed said two other simultaneous explosions took place at other military facilities. An unspecified number of Nigerian soldiers suffered injuries.
Saturday evening, a suicide bomber launched another attack in Maiduguri, Mohammed said. No casualties were reported except for the bomber. He also blamed Boko Haram for the attacks.

The Red Cross official said Boko Haram is suspected in the Damaturu attack as well.

This happened a few yrs back in a traffic jam at Ikeja. There was a long line of cars and some people even came out of their cars. Robbers were moving from cars to cars robbing people. We didn't know what was happening till one of them was about robbing the car before ours.

I was riding in a private vehicle with my mum a military orderly was with us in the car ( my old man is in the military) putting on plain black tee shirt and camo trousers (meanwhile my mum was scared and was telling the orderly not to do anything and to allow them take what they want from us grin. Trust soldiers na, the guy boned my mumsi). Immediately the guy was about robbing the car before us the orderly came out of the car and shot the guy on the legs. Immediately, his colleagues took off and the guy was rolling on the floor with blood everywhere. Na so pple begin run leave motor

People went to call some policemen who wanted to extort the person who shot until they realized he was a military personnel. They ended up taking the half dead robber away in their pickup.

That was my only close experience to robbers. They never come to our streets because of soldiers around. Though i do hear that they visit adjourning streets.
Your father is a murderer. May his soul roast in hell. And you my friend, get ready to spend your eternity with him in circle 6 of the inferno where your head shall be gnawed by Satan's mouth, and your back shall be skinned by Satan's claws. SO shall it be for killing an innocent man.

Cyberspace, so say what you want . Do you see the investigative Journalist of 234Next brandishing Kalashnikovs and leading an assault on the NASS or Aso Rock? Yet they are playing their part and winning awards for it. If folks discussing issues on NL piss you off then simply ignore us. Everyone's effort, tangible or otherwise, is relevant - even if you don't realise that.
You dont seem to get it, do you?

I was tempted to break down the article for you, but it is damn too long and I really am very lazy right now to go through it. The article isnt that great and definitively doesnt worth something you should be ululating about. That is to say, It was a hack job at best, sourced from someone close to Madueke with an axe to grind, any sensible person can see that; In other words, the very people whom the news should be scrutinizing are now the ones firmly in control of it and using the power to exploit our naivety. We know the owners of 234next.com and their antecedents!

There is nothing investigative about that news article, sorry to be so blunt. I saw you earlier on equating the article to whistle-blowing. You really dont seem to know what whistle-blowing really is, so I am tempted to group this as just another attempt of yours to castigate the PDP. This is all politics, nothing more, nothing less.

It is unfortunate that this is what our political space has turned out to be, cheap attacks, instead of sensible commentary. Instead of embracing the full spectrum of political progressiveness -- liberalism, economic reforms, ethics in journalism, social justice, environmentalism-- you stick to mediocrity and sycophancy. While, according to those who know you, you used to post in protest against authoritarianism, mediocrity, etc now you race to post shoddy articles to embarrass the government in power. And while you once sought full consciousness and understanding of all that oppresses us, now you’re content to achieve awareness and cyber-relevance which has come to mean one thing -- dutifully, on behalf of your ACN pay masters, bad-mouthing everything GEJ/PDP.
