TravelRe: My Sweet "Ivory Coast" Memories by MERCHANDISER: 10:41pm On Dec 13, 2020
EMEKUSBOY9:
UNEXPECTED LITTLE UPDATE grin

As we wait for the border to be re-opened!

Am using this little update as an appetisers before the real UPDATE....

I was having "mood swings" today when i was listening too RUNTOWN " MAD OVER YOU" track..... And everything about my past life in Ivory coast just start jumping into my head, because i went to ivory coast same year or almost same year this runtown tracks came out.

Believe me, it was a very emotional moment between me and ESTHER ( my former ivory girl friend).

I remember how Esther always leave her place to look for me around any where i was just to listen to runtown " mad over you" track. She always took my phone away from me..... Believe me guys, does days are the good days to be a Nigerian. And Nigeria is sweet when u live outside Nigeria, because we have the name.

This song keep playing and i was filled with a lot of sweet memories and some challenging memories cry

First thought came to me on how i was loved by this people.... They never care if i had money or not, they just want to see me happy and always smiling. ( God bless u Ivorian people)

I also remember how almost every hour in ivory coast they always ask me one question, and that question is " EMEKA VOUS AVEZ MANGER ? " for does that dont understand French it means - EMEKA HAVE YOU EATEN ? . thank you Mr LASS cry

I remember the sweet time i had with my Ivorian girl and her family, i dnt need to talk about this because they are already my family now.

I missed Ivorian ladies... Yes i have my own girl but i still missed these damsels grin they really gave me the tonic i needed even when my Nigeria brothers who have been there for more than 10years discouraged me to go back to Nigeria grin they felt challenged when they see you enter the country. But dnt get me wrong some are very nice, i remember my "name sake" Emeka, who really helped me.

Back to my Ivorian ladies.... Nothing looks sweet when u are really facing a big challenge of your life in a foreign country but u have ladies with big "bumbum " giving u succor and hope. grin I found out that women smiles... Kills depression. I really have a lot to say about this country but i have mastered to break things simple for people to be able to read and meet up with the rest people.

I remember this funny night in ivory coast when my friend BOBBY, came back from Nigeria after going for visiting. We were in our popular joint with BOBBY Ivorian "girl friend" that night, and BOBBY start lamenting how he went through difficulties when he visited nigeria. his girl friend now ask him to take her to nigeria, dat she has always wanted to visit nigeria. it was funny and embarrassing to us when BOBBY without any shame told her that in Nigeria there is no light and he was beaten by a mosquitos in his mouth and that was why his mouth has swollen grin our saving grace was that the Ivorian girl did not understood english cheesy he was about to repeat what he said in french when we closes his mouth lipsrsealed

Please that is why said on my past updates, that if u want to marry an Ivorian ladies, make sure u have made money in ivory coast then take her to comfortable area and house. Am not saying ivory coast is America or to argue with any one if it is finer to Nigeria.... But what am saying is that the standard of living there is something u cannot compare with Nigeria ( shame dey catch me like this self) .

We are talking about girls that in all their life they never witness darkness, compare to where darkness is normal. ( it does not make sense to me)

If you have not made money in ivory coast just marry her in ivory coast and live in ivory coast while u keep working hard. Ivorian girls that has never witness hardship like going from a mile to another miles to fetch water. Even the real Ivorian ladies dnt go out when there are rainfall no matter how important that thing is.

Like i said, this is just little update and not like the continuation from where i stop. I am just waiting for the border to be open before the real update.

So guys, see you people when the borders opens. Always remember what u need is determination...................................

what you don't know, you don't know

all these people you mentioned has been running to odumeje for ages, in his church was where I met Jerry amilo (nollywood actor) for the first time

odumeje has been big for years, he was running away from media because he felt he couldn't speak English, you started hearing him when zubi Michael and Co who were his boys persuaded him to come on limelight

so addressing him as nobody last year is a wrong statement

That money can't even hire a DJ in Lagos.

Let everyone pay a minimum of 5k, those that have more can pay higher...
Nice suggestion.

FoodRe: SOYA BEANS Blended With Crayfish, dryfish, groundnut, millet And Guinea Corn. by MERCHANDISER: 10:46am On Dec 08, 2020
Teeshafoods:
Its good to give your kids natural foods. It helps them grow strong and healthy without long term effects. Most of the canned foods we have in the market contain certain preservatives that isn't too good for our children's health.
When will we learn to appreciate that which is grown around us?We have all it takes in Nigeria to help our children yet we are blind to them.

These combination works wonders. Its mainly prepared by the south west people of Nigeria who know the importance of feeding our children natural foods.

CRAYFISH
DRYFISH
GROUNDNUT
MILLET
GUINEA CORN
SOYA BEANS

We have neatly processed, blended and packaged these combination in powdered form to make it easy to prepare.

Mode of Preparation:

Add a little water in your baby pot and immediately pour in a small quantity of our SOYA BEANS MIX. Keep stiring till you get your desired thickness depending on the age of the child. Make sure its cooked on heat leave for at least 2-3mins to boil then serve with sugar and milk. (For some kids, honey or glucose will do)
This combination isn't for new borns. We support breastfeeding till up to 6 months of age. Its not advisable to give our babies this meal when they are not up to 6 months please.

Any child from 6 months - adult age can take it. Its a meal good for the whole family. For 6months,prepare like pap and make sure its not too thick as it rises when being cooked and thickens when cool. For children up to 1 year, prepare like Amala and serve with ewedu and titus fish. Make sure the fish is garnished for easy gulping of all.

Try this daily. Do different recipes with this powder. You can make pancakes with it and give to your kids to take as a snack. You can sprinkle on indomie, add a little in their tea too for effective results.

We have packaged it in 5kgs and 10kgs.
5kg: N4000
10kg: N8000

Delivery fee depends on location. We deliver anywhere in Nigeria and its PAY on DELIVERY.

Please call these numbers to place your orders. Or send a text containing a detailed address to 08027853057

BBM: 30FD6861
We also do Pickup.
Oluseyi close,agbado ijaiye,Lagos.

NBsadNo lumps! Very smooth like amala)
The smoothness is what's important to mums as kids don't take foods with lumps. Don't worry, when we say its in powdered form, its very smooth and babies love it when milk and sweetners are added.
A trial will co

ECE evaluated my transcripts and it took one week. From 4.08/5.0 to 3.47/4.0... It’s true that they reduce gpa but it’s slightly better than WES. Wes takes more time because after receiving your transcripts, they’ll send another form to your school to complete and send back for confirmation. But ECE evaluates immediately they receive your official transcripts. If not for the cost, it’s better to send transcripts to both companies and choose the own that gives you a higher gpa
Plz can you help me with this ECE evaluation as I wouldn't want to make any mistake.

TravelRe: Any Nairalander In Abidjan? by MERCHANDISER: 7:52am On Dec 06, 2020
roteblomen:
I have been in Abidjan since Monday. So far, it's been so good. But it's terrible if you do not speak French. Luckily, I have a local guide, which makes it easier. But so far, here are my observations. Your English is practically useless here. Imagine going your day and seeing no one to communicate with due to the language barrier, that's exactly how it is here. Luckily, google translate helps, but it is mechanical, and sometimes, the true meaning is lost during translations. Though, it is still good for petty discussions with traders and market sellers.

1. Ivorians are law abidings. People hardly drive across red lights, in supermarkets and shopping malls, everyone wears a mask and there is less frustration in the face of the populace. You won't see the shouting and insult from drivers to one another, and there is a mild sense of national unity.

2. Food is ridiculously cheap. I bought a big hand of banana with groundnut for 500cfa, the same price also for Attieke and fish. Bread and butter with egg cost 300cfa. All these are roadside prices, not eateries. I like to experience everywhere like a local when I travel hence, I do not really go to your typical scale restaurant. If you do not mind to eat like a local, you can reasonably eat out every day here without feeling a dent in your pocket. It is healthy, delicious, cheap, and good.

3. People here are darker compare to Nigerians. They look more like Ghanaians in complexions. The sun here is really hot. I usually only go out in the evenings when the weather is calm. Ivorian people are beautiful. The women are not stuck up, with an ego as huge as Kilimanjaro. Talk to them and they answer you tenderness, same with their men. You won't see a need to be actually scared you will be swindled or be a victim of aggression. The kind of over-vigilance you express in Nigeria is not needed here.

4. I believe that the Ivory Coast is the hospitality capital of West Africa, people are really hospitable, like really, organically hospitable. When I arrived in Ivory Coast, the border guard will not let me in since I do not have a yellow fever card. It was a lady that sat beside me in the flight that made sure I could go through. She paid 7000cfa for me and bought a sim and internet there at the airport so I could be connected. I wanted to pay her back in euros but she refused. When we were outside the airport, she and her husband wanted to drop me at my hotel, but I felt it was too much and took a taxi instead. They were really nice.

5. This country is safe. Really safe. I walk at night at odd hours and feel absolutely fine. Even if you see a group of boys gathered, they are not touts or there to harm you. They will most likely help you if you meet them. They are like genuinely nice people. Too peaceful. You will see white folks walking freely everywhere without any policeman or security. They felt safe here and do not worry about kidnapping and co. In fact, the Ivory Coast is where I see more white folks than anywhere in West Africa (except Cape Verde).

6. This country is good for business. I noticed that Ivorians are more corporate-minded and not necessarily into entrepeunership. If you are a crazy entrepreneur with goals and plan to dominate any industry, you will likely be successful here. Also, international business flourishes here in the sense that the country is stable, and pegged to euros. So you do not have to worry about uncertainty, currency fluctuations, devaluations, and such. Also, they have the most modern seaport in West Africa, so if you are into importations, it is something to look into.

7. There is stable electricity, the police seem friendly, the major roads are good, and the off-major roads manageable. Things work well generally, to a degree of what is acceptable for an underdeveloped country. If Nigeria is even as remote as Ivory Coast, I will probably move back home. Ivory Coast is a country that you know clearly is on a path to development, and with good management, will reach that status. It is not a mal-develop country, but an underdeveloped one.

So far, these are my observations. I will follow with pictures soon.
nice one.
are you there for tourism or business

I can only show you around the city and help you with some real life information. I've been here for a while now but i still manage blend in. As a 9ja guy you'll survive just plan your cash well and learn French a bit before coming.
Thanks
I am planning to come over God's willing February or March.I learnt there's a little conflict in the country as a result of the presidential election.

I was told that from maza maza(young shall grow) to Abidjan is 30k as long as you have your international passport and yellow fever vaccine.
I am budgeting 200k for this journey.
I am not planning to rent a house yet or lodge in a hotel because of insufficient cash. Unless I see a VERY cheap kiosk, cubicle or old room at the outskirt of Abidjan I can rent for 10k per month,i don't mind sharing the room with people Or I might even stay in the street or church.
I am not looking for comfort now.I am going there majority to identify any business that can thrive there. I learnt shoes, clothing/fabrics do flourish there. I can use 100k to bring any of these to Abidjan.
My major challenge now is language barrier huh
