Congratulations to those who got their TRV and to those who got a delay, please repackage and reapply. Try to look for graduate programmes in Masters or Doctorate if you qualify for one.

I am beginning to believe this pdg application does not fly with the VOs. If you must apply for one, let it be for genuine reasons such as low GP in your BSc or B.A or for some great reasons. Most people who got their delays applied for pgd. You may be genuine but the VOs don't see it as such because some fellows have abused it in the past!

Ok I guess yours is a bit different cos of your graduation timeline, which makes sense. My mum has been in Canada before tho but I guess lagos embassy is really busy this period. The last time she got her visa I wasn't really as worried and agitated as this cos there was really no rush for us and it took about two months. This year she had to get a new passport, but this one get as e bi sha lol cos its three months now! I guess even if I contact them again I don't have an urgent need that can put them on their toes. In my mind, my kids are resuming Sept and she's coming to reduce my stress lol. I have sent them two emails now, I guess we will just keep waiting noni.

you have a point here. People should try to update the house with list of documents they submitted especially when visa is granted. This will guide others during application. Only few people share testimonies here and when dey do there's no list of document for others to learn from.

I'm currently studying in Canada, I applied for visitor's visa for my wife and daughter online.. they sent a mail requesting for biometrics which she did at VFS A few days back.. it however hasn't been updated on her application and I was just wondering how long could it take before the biometrics gets to cic or is updated?

I thought It would've been immediate!!

Let's assume an application was submitted May n biometric wasn't done until July(cos d biometric fee wasn't paid until then). Please how does this affect an application? I really wonder where it all went wrong because I have travelled to Dubai and got a refusal from US. I also got a south Africa visa but couldn't travel due to the nation of my job.

Pls gurus in the house kindly advice because I intend to reapply soon against Jan.

My son is 7 years and a Nigerian.I also have an American who was not meant to come with them. My mum has her business in Nigeria she dont plan to leave. They were coming for Graduation and visiting.

The reasons stated are as follows:
1,Travel history

2, Purpose of visit

3, Personal asset and financial status.

4, I am not satisfied you have sufficient funds, income & assets to support your purpose in canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada or to effect your departure.

5, You have not provided sufficient documents to support your /your host's income & asset.

Visa was refused on the 11th of August, got a mail on the 13th and they got the file on the 16th of August.

How can we make a request for the GCMS file ?

I applied for my mother and son to visit me for my graduation but the process was long and graduation days past. Submitted Paper route on 8th of May.
They were delayed on the 11th of August.

Kindly assist with how we can get the GCMS. Saw several links on the forum but dont know how to go about it.

What was the reason they ticked on the refusal letter? I invited my mum also for graduation. Applied May 9th and graduation was June 22nd. Visa was approved on July 5th. I made it clear that she will stay for about a month after graduation cos it was 2 years + that I saw her last. Are you married? How old is your son? Including your son will make it seem as if he is coming to join you and your mum will be taking care of him which a lot of people do. My mum came eventually with my daughter which I didn't mention because she is a US citizen and doesn't require a visa. You can order for your GMCS from gmcs.com to know the exact reason apart from what they ticked.

Bro this is 100% not true, applicants going for diploma gets their applications approved so please stop giving wrong advise to people on this. Yes we have see more people going for Masters getting trv but that's because the number of people going for Masters and PhD are more than those going for Diploma. The only thing u will say on this that I will allow is if an applicant is qualified to get a masters admission and he instead opted to go for a diploma but if someone isn't qualified for a masters program he/she has every right to apply for a PGD program and it will be APPROVED, everything depends on how the applicant package his/her application and GOD'S grace.
so @Eilenora check schools that will accept ur 2:2 but if there isn't any in Canada then apply for PGD and state it in your sop that u would have LOVED to go for Masters but u didn't meet up the requirements for it and also tell the vo the importance of PGD (make sure u convince him). Thanks

It's accordingly. If it wasn't, there would be no qualifier to the warning: get a master's not a certificate program that most times imperils an application for visa.

Warning: stay away from the Humber PGD or PGC ill-fated program. It's been the Hercules hills of many a TRV hopefuls. Since you have a law degree, the logical progression is an LLB.

I didn't submit my ac statement because I had no intentions of sponsoring myself. My sponsor (mum) had over 12 million closing balance. This is excluding part of tuition fees I had already paid for.

Yes that's true, ESL program costs 3500CAD aside from tuition fee of 8,800CAD. Thank you so much for your advice. I'll look around and see if there is any school.

Most schools in Canada like colleges strictly accepts students for only fall semester.
