Litolysis: Greetings great people.
I want to know if its wrong if I fund my blocked account twice. Like sending 6,000 euro and 2,900 euro next day. First bank said I can not send 8,829 euro once. Advice pls No, its not wrong. You can break it down to any fragment you want. The only disadvantage is dat each transfer will attract a fresh transfer fee/transfer charge. |

Ezyp: Baba thanks. For accommodation, the sch rejected my application because of no space. Which travel health insurance is cheaper/best. Thanks o Well, I used a German student insurance. I'm yet to pay for it because I'm at liberty to pay after I arrive Germany. The package is so flexible. If you wanna know more about it, just contact me through my email address. |

Ezyp: Boss thanks for the information you provided the other time. Abeg as person dey wait for a.m wetin you advice make person dey do ahead. Presently I dey try to sort out accommodation, I haven't pay the administrative fee required by my sch. What's your advice in general. thanks Well, if you are optimistic/confident of getting the visa, especially if it has exceeded 2-3wks after ur interview, then just start the usual personal preparations. So I'll advice u start planning when you will move (travel), the travel health insurance u'll use, d airline etc. Most importantly, start applying for accommodation ryt now before you travel especially for accommodation in the student hostels, as it often pretty much stressful and difficult to get it wen u're already in Germany (although it is not impossible). You won't be required to pay for it until you arrive Germany and until u've seen the apartment urself. Also, as regard the administrative fees of the school, if u're sure u'll be in Germany much earlier before the enrollment deadline, then no need worry yourself much in paying it from here (due to transfer fees) as you can always do it at the international office or at the administrative office depending on which is responsible for that. Anyway, I believe your A.M is sure because its a season for A.M. so start all necessary preparations now. Congrats in advance bro! |

BabaEuro: As far as I know, the motive for any private school is to make money. The motive for public schools is the passion for excellence in the various fields of human endeavor, hence public schools are the best in R & D. Mechanical engineering is Mechanical engineering, irrespective of whether you spend 1million dollars to attain it or not. Same with other courses. Nobody gives a fucking damn in the job market whether you finished from a private school or not,it is the stuff and experience you have that speaks volume. Spending thousands of euro to attain a masters degree in Germany while there are free tuition in same course in public schools is a colossal waste of resources that anybody who has worked hard to earn money will have value for and will want to conserve. But if you are from a rich home where there is abundant resources, why not! Well Said! To me, Germany is not Nigeria where public/government schools or institutions are messed up. When you talk of quality education in advanced and developed countries, public schools are well equipped because the government is so reliable and dependable to the extent that they invest so much to equip their public universities and make sure its of world standard. Also, from the free tuition fees and oda benefits like duscounted meals at canteens, free transportation around d city, etc, its so clear and obvious dat d only priority of these public schools is not money making but to render good, quality and best of education. Moreova, I believe in advanced countries like Germany, public/government institutions get some global/national license dat most private school cannot have (e.g internship with some international organizations, collaboration with international communities/organizations). So Germany is not Nigeria where d government and d system is so corrupt, to the extent that facilities/equipments meant for the public (public institutions inclusive) are siphoned and diverted to their personal businesses/institutions, which consequently and continuously is leading to the production of poor graduates and rich thieves (in d name of politicians). For example, my university, (a state owned university/public university), is making life more meaningful and less stressful for her students, which will directly and indirectly make studies much more interesting. Outside oda benefits like our semester tickets covering transportation within the entire state and few parts of 2 neighboring states, I also discovered recently that they offer free German classes (A1) to their willing students. Just my point of view about my comparison between public and private institutions in advanced society like Germany, as against our usual view when comparing public and private institutions in a dead, currupt and glorified-village like Nigeria. |

Immafrank: you can fund your block account from anybody's dorm acct. And it's only the confirmation from the German bank handling your block acct is acceptable as proof that you have funded. Yes you can. Also, u can send d bank telex to the embassy as proof dat u've already sent/transferred the fund, so u just waiting for d main confirmation from the German bank. So u will start dat once u receive dat in a couple of days, u'll 4wd to dem. They do understand dat getting the blocked confirmation after funding usually take some few days depending on various factors (bank, means of transfer, location, etc) |

Travel › Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Metabolite01: 4:16pm On Feb 09, 2018 |
mavrom8: Is actually closer to 3.0 than 3.5 on a 5point scale.
Just used a link I saw for German grading and it gave me a German GPA of 2.6. ? It's that acceptable?? Most schools require a limit of 2.5 but not all school. Nevertheless, nothing is impossible. Just package a very good application alongside a good motivation letter and good working experience if you have dat. |

ibnkokumo: Thanks brother. My school don't do deferment stuff, I have to re-apply, application opens next month 1st March for Winter semester, I will get my admission letter at least in three weeks after application. I haven't been rejected yet, I've been asked to fund before 19th Feb, I cannot meet up, but it'll be funded by month end/march. Should I inform the embassy that I want to defer? so that they'll be aware and not reject me, thanks. Oh, sorry about that. Just give a try in writing the embassy on that regard. But in most cases, its about writing the embassy that you want to withdraw your visa application. |
Travel › Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Metabolite01: 12:16pm On Feb 08, 2018 |
ibnkokumo: Yo leute, was geht ab? I need urgent response please, What does it mean to differ? a friend told me if one defers, you need not to sit for interview again. You only need to present new admission letter. How long will it take to get a Visa for winter semester if one defers? will I have to wait till maybe June/July? Thank you. To defer means to shift (or lemme say postpone or carry) ur current admission to a later semester (most times to the nxt semester). Yes, if u defer, a new admission letter for d nxt semester will be sent to you, which makes ur current admission letter invalid, thereby making you no longer fit/qualified to go for the present/current semester visa application interview. Depending on ur school, but most schools will send ur new admission letter almost immediately (couple of days or weeks depending on the school policies). Other schools may send it at a later time (a bit late) but definitely quicker and faster than those applying for a fresh admission. If ur new admission letter comes early enough, u can use it to apply to d embassy immediately the embassy opens for dat semester visa application, which gives you an upper hand to get ur visa early enough. What I really dnt know of or what I'm not too certain of nw is if it is appropriate or acceptable to use ur let's say winter admission letter to apply for visa during summer visa application period, and vice-versa. Just do more findings on dat, although I "think" its possible. |

Am about funding my Fintiba account. Do I need any authentication from the Embassy before funding? Secondly, is it good to buy Euro in black market and fund rather than form A? Please good advice You dnt need authentication before funding. If u've dorm account or u kw a trustworthy person dat has, u can buy from black market, pay into d dorm account then u transfer. If not, then use Form A |
