no mention of gallantly there. huh huh
The clout and respect Ojukwu commands today among his contemporaries and this present generation show that he is a revered gallant soldier and leader. Suffice it to say, a living LEGEND.

But there is no act more cowardly than a man committing suicide , as Awolowo did. He died like a poisoned rat.

Ojukwu left as a gallant soldier, and returned as a gallant soldier. And thats why he still commands respect among his contemporaries till today.

PoliticsRe: Dispute 1 Of President Jonathan's Declaration claims- Inec Reform by Metalgong1(m): 11:53am On Sep 19, 2010
ow11:
Jonathan is a politician and doesn't shy away from stretching the truth. We all know he would not adopt electoral reform as advised by the Uwais led panel because it will hurt not just him but members of the PDP in public offices whose sole aim is to enrich the pockets of themselves and their allies.

Many of Jonathan's supporters believe he has to pander to the evil side to get in before he can be man enough to change the status quo. I do not subscribe to this and I'm very disappointed in him as we don't have any proof that it will not be business as usual. He can list all his 'achievements' as I can also list Abacha's 'achievements' too.

For what it is worth, I believe Jonathan is not the exact same type of politician we get with the likes of IBB and Buhari. I would rather vote for Ribadu or El-Rufai or even Ajumogobia if any of them stand. However, with the number of aspirants that have thrown their hats in, I would pick Jonathan. This is not because he is radically different but because he has shown that he is answerable to the people in the past and we can demand true electoral reform and federalism if he doesn't deliver such when elected!
your post makes more sense than that of those who call GEJ the Nigerian Obama . . . At least in your view, he is the one eyed man among the blind who are contesting.

Ojukwu is a spent force, just because Jonathan doesen' t want wahala allowing Ojukwu's protégée to win Anambra election does not mean he has any clout. Mordern learned leaders has learnt from providence and gain one or two things from hindsight. You do not fight a war on two fronts, u end opening yourselves and over strectching limited resources.

At d time of Anambra election, Nigeria has a nation was at the brink of abbyis, Mr President was no where to be found after embarking on absence without leave. The apparatus of goverment was in d hand of dat lunatic AG of the nation who made it clear to all listening ears at d time, that the President can rule from anywhere in d world.

There was d senseless killing of the Beroms OR is it of the Hausa/Fulani at least there was some kind of low scale ethnic cleasing going on in Plateau state, and to compo und it there are these 3 individuals claiming they one d elections in anambra state and on d other hand d chief architect of the Biafran war machinery was promising fire and brimestone reminding Nigerians of d much and long awaite d sequeal to d Biafran war which would ensued d moment his man has been robbed of his guranteed pension, with all these potential volatile happenings around at d time, the safest and wisest thing to do is give d governorship to d incumbent and rightly so dat is what happened.

Has dat experience made massers Ojukwu's head swollen, Y ou bet right, he has now gained his swagger and his strutting himself as king maker thank God his ego was seriously bruised when he mistakingly swaggered Or staggared into Aso Rock, I am sure he must have had too much apeteshi to think d occupant in Aso Rock sour give a royal welcome.

The only person dat accords Ojukwu any iota of respect today is IBB another spent force, I just hope he has settled those crowd he rented otherwise yar wa go burst. How lower can IBB be go anyway when 2 mediocres are meeting noting would come out of it, it is hot air, if care is not taking IBB d way he is going about using money to buy everything buyable would end up in d scrap yard penniless after all there is a popular saying one wealthy man amongst a hoard of hungry men b4 long dat wealthy man be dirt poor not when u hava dead-broke former warlord amongst dat hungry mass of human misery.
And your point is . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . , . . . . . . . . . . . . ??

bilymuse:
During the Biafran war, Ojukwu encouraged Igbos to fight and die for Biafra, but when 0the federal troops come knocking on his door, the bald headed coward just ran away. He could not practice what he preached.

He's among the vultures, who benefited from the war: The coward ran away at the end of the war, millions lost their life. He got his properties back, thousand of Igbo properties are still classified as abandoned properties. He got his rank back, thousands former biafran soldiers are not recognise and wallowing in poverty. He got his pension and gratuity, thousands of former biafran soldiers did not get a penny, nor recognition.

He wasted hundreds of thousands of Biafran life, for what , for nothing.

Ojukwu is nothing but a cheap coward and betrayer.
