Afam:Exactly the point . . . . . These civil war Nigerians think that Igbos are fools:Fools that would easily forget the massacre of millions of their brothers and sisters. . . . . .After almost 40 yrs to review exactly what happened, all we are being told is to keep mute so as to let the wound heal. What a joke!! Let it be told that so long as justice is not done for these massacred Igbos, Nigeria will never move forward and thats exactly what we are witnessing today. |
Damn!! , . . Look at the way Agaba, ibobabe and pres-elect are projecting missiles at each other all in the name of speaking igbo. . . . Please you guys should stop abusing the Igbo language. Ndi be anyi ekelekwa m unu!! |
With this amount of money oiling the minister's trips, I must delve into Naija politics. |
The above interview is vintage Arthur Eze , Alias Arthur One Thousand. |
The above debate you just discussed was conducted by the Nigerian medical Association, Anambra chapter. . . But the next two debates would be conducted by another organisation.~~~~~ Below is the news article Anambra guber debate to gulp N17m, by organisers Latest News Dec 22, 2009 Abuja—The gubernatorial debate planned for candidates in the Anambra election will gulp N17 million, Dr Ifeanyi Obiakor, a board member of the Nigeria-America Friendship Association, NAFA, has said. He said that the debate will be organised by the NAFA, the Anambra REBIRTH and the Anambra State Good Governance Forum, all NGOs. Obiakor, who addressed a meeting of “stakeholders on the Anambra poll” in Abuja at the weekend, said that the debate would feature a minimum of three candidates and a maximum of six. The candidates, he explained would be picked after an opinion poll, where they would have scored a set of minimum points. He added that nominees of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, as well as other credible bodies would constitute the panel to drill the candidates. “We feel that there should be a credible debate,” he stressed. According to him, the debate will help enlighten the electorate on the vision, mission and policies of the candidates. Mr Ike Neriaku, Coordinator of Anambra REBIRTH, said the organisation was ready to set a standard in the state “by doing the right thing.” “Anambra has been known for the bad things, but we want to be known for the good things. We don’t want the process to be compromised in any way. If Anambra election goes well, then we will set the ball rolling for subsequent elections in the country. We want to put a stop to selection of candidates instead of election,” he said. The debate will hold between January 7 and February 6, the organisers said. |
pres-elect:17 million naira is a Beer parlour change compared to the amount of money being spent by the candidates for campaign . . . .Infact, the organisers of the debate can raise the money overnight. I think you should stop being too pessimistic about all Nigerian affairs. However, we Anambrarians really want the debate;hopefully, it will be interesting to watch. |
blacksta:Are you writing to impress Nairalanders or do you really believe in the above highlighted sentence?. . . . . Nigerians always like to set standards that never exist any where in the world for their leaders while they the citizens flout the least stringent rules. However, there is no doubt that those candidates misbehaved but that wont warrant imprisonment in any sensible country as you claimed. |
~Bluetooth:He never grabbed any power from Anenih neither is his tenure different from that of his predecessors. . . . He was lucky to be there because Anenih kicked out his godson, prof Osunbor, through the electoral tribunal. |
OvieE:May be you think that Anambrarians are drowning in poverty and illiteracy like you and your people, if not, I didnt see the reason why you should come up with the above stupid statement. |

(NAN) That would really be an interesting debate to watch folks . . . . . . an intellectual kamikaze war between Soludo, Ngige, Peter Obi and Andy Ubah. |
WilyWily:Igbos have now adopted the Siddon, Look and Chop attitude like other ethnic groups . . . . . Any revolution should be carried out by yorubas and Hausas and it should be limited to their respective regions without claiming any Igbo victim. After all the civil war set backs, Igbos have paid their own dues for the experiment called Nigeria. |
@Poster In as much as there is a prevalence of corruption in Nigeria, are you insinuating that most Nigerian politicians are poor men before getting to their elective offices . . I mean poor men who cannot afford wrist watches that cost around $30,000 . . .I definetely dont think so. Any Nigerian politician who was able to sponsor his or her gubernatorial, senatorial or house of representative campaign would be able to afford that watch. |
On personnal level, most people who had dealt or came across Andy Uba would tell you that the dude is a cool and nice guy. Like it or not, most of these people opposing him now benefitted from his immense generosity and connections at Abuja. The only problem people had with him was how he left his illiterate younger brother to be soiling their family name and that of the state. |
MrCrackles:hehehehe . . . . . . I can imagine the gravity of pain you felt just because I exposed the simple fact about your pathetic life~~~ As I said earlier, you are an old dunce. No amount of imbecilllic whinning and ranting can change that. Utogbo!!! |
MrCrackles:I dont expect an slowpoke to decipher what I wrote~~~~ For all I care, you can keep on displaying your innate stupidity with your fellow dunce KOBOMUMU. Old fools!! |
Johnpaul88:^^^^^ Dont mind him. . . Some times I'm perplexed with the level of hypocrisy being displayed by Nigerians . . . It is a known fact that APGA, AC, ANPP and most of the political parties gunning for the Anambra guber election didnt conduct any primary election. . . Most of these political parties saw how tough the Anambra election would be and they chose to selet credible candidates rightaway ~~` Hence, why should the criteria be different for Soludo and PDP. |
@poster To answer your question~~~ I dont have any story!!! |
