The only group of people of who supported the cancellation June 12 elections were those benefitting directly from the IBB regime. Almost everyone else was either remotely or openly against it. No body is preventing Jonathan from contesting the 2011 presidential election. The crux of the debate is that he should respect the PDP zoning arrangement which the founding members of the party agreed upon. However, if he thinks that he can win the election fair and square without the PDP rigging machine, then he should decamp to other political parties like AC or ANPP that might be more willing to field him as their candidate.
