And thats the sole reason why the genuine BAKASSI boys should be re-organized. . . . I remember When bakassi boys was introduced into Anambra state, one can fearlessly walk the streets of Onitsha with $100000 in a transparrent bag without anybody looking at him more than once.

So long as this is Nigeria, those hungry policemen can not effectively curb the rate of crime in Nigeria.

Politics / Re: The Profile Of The New Inec Boss by metalgong5(m): 10:03pm On Jun 02, 2010
mikeansy:

This is the kind of crap you hear when people are about to be appointed

When they get appointed and they begin to show their colours; it turns out that Nigerians have been fooled again.

The only group of people of who supported the cancellation June 12 elections were those benefitting directly from the IBB regime. Almost everyone else was either remotely or openly against it. Besides there are loads of examples of people who protested IBB's attempt to remain in office but who have gone on to become master riggers and thieves in our most recent history.

Instead of the media to get ready to vet this guy if he is the next INEC Boss, they rather want to gloss over unfounded achievements. How is opposition to cancellation of June 12 unique? Why is that enough to wave everything else?

The NASS should also vet this guy too when he comes for Senate Confirmation. This is how we glossed over people in the past only to realise that all they knew how to do was to indiscriminately sturborn without achieving any possitive results.
Nice analysis!!
Politics / Re: Kalu Seeks Ndigbo’s Support For Jonathan by metalgong5(m): 10:01pm On Jun 02, 2010
Beaf:

What is the rant (bolded) about? shocked Calm down and be rational.

As to the rest of your argument; what do you understand to be the Nigerian constitutions take on zoning?

You have not answered my question . . .  So you have suddenly become a PDP member.

For the upteenth time, we are talking about a political party's agreement which has nothing to do with Nigerian constitution. Jonathan should not pretend as if he doesn't know that such agreement exists.
Politics / Re: Kalu Seeks Ndigbo’s Support For Jonathan by metalgong5(m): 9:27pm On Jun 02, 2010
Beaf:

So where did South South fall in that "agreement?" Also, if not for the fate, where does the ND fit in the "agreement"? Are they only good for providing oil and not good enough to rule?
So you are now a PDP member, right? Nigerians will never cease to amaze me. . . .  It is quite ironic that most southerners are now PDP members just because their brother ascended to the helm of Nigerian affairs , the same PDP they are calling the worst thing that ever happened Nigeria. This scenario playing out has also exposed the tribalistic tendencies of most Nigerians, especially how it has been turned into anti - north sentiment.

In referrence to the issue of the agreement, it was simply based on North - south rotation. However, we should always try to clarify that this is a political party's gentleman agreement and not Nigerian constitution.

SKYPO:

undecided My advice to Goodluck is to obey the zoning formula of PDP because an Agreement is agreement full stop. or let those gentle men come together discard the zoning formula as they agreed before.

How will you feel if somebody disappoint you?. Just said the truth and forget sentiment.

Exactly my view of the debate. . . . .
Politics / Re: Kalu Seeks Ndigbo’s Support For Jonathan by metalgong5(m): 4:45am On May 31, 2010
No body is preventing Jonathan from contesting the 2011 presidential election. The crux of the debate is that he should respect the PDP zoning arrangement which the founding members of the party agreed upon. However, if he thinks that he can win the election fair and square without the PDP rigging machine, then he should decamp to other political parties like AC or ANPP that might be more willing to field him as their candidate.

They r Ibo!!! Thats how it was written in my history books in high school and thats what the right pronunciation is! Who invented this language, the Ibo man or the white man? So, why should an Ibo man attempt to teach me the English language?! Write it in your own language without using the english alphabets and it'll be pronounced anyway u want! But until then. . . . Besides, I've attempted saying "Igbo" and its virtually impossible. So, I guess its only fair that its written the way its pronounced!

Dumb Latino basta-rd . . . . . Why can't you start looking for your biological father.
It is really a shame and pathetic that you take your adulterous mother's yoruba bootymate as your father
Politics / Re: Senator Joy Emordi rival Alphonsus Igbeke Sworn In As Senator At Last by metalgong5(m): 10:24am On May 26, 2010
Gold-mind:

We, Anambrarians know that Igbeke is a fraudstar, but we can't stop him. He's a little better than that sycophant, Joy Emordi, who sold Anambra state to Abacha.
The above statement is what I consider as the attributes of a poor man's mentality . . Did Igbeke defraud you? . . . .I guess he is a fraudstar because he is stupendously rich and also well known by Anambrarians, even outside his senatorial zone. Or I guess it is because Morroco Maduka, the highlife musician, used Senator Igbeke's biography to compose a best selling music.

Congrats to Senator Igbeke.

KnowAll:

The Igbo Governor’s are the most heartless and henious thieves in the federation, they turn a blind eye on the squalor and deprivation of their people, no wonder Kidnapping and other social vices is prominent in that enclave. (Drug dealing, Ashawo,419, e.t.c)

They turned down a visionary in Soludo only to vote an incumbent. Incumbency in the East is synonymous with stand-down, don’t expect anything from Obi in the next 4 years.

One thing you can be assured of is the Ikemba would be handsomely taking care off and remitted, and Obi would by the end of his term have achieved that warp idea of being a billionaire at the people’s expense
. ( I just hope his driver and orderly would be careful when transporting the people’s common-wealth from Akwa to Lagos this time.) lipsrsealed

The key to unlock the squalor in the East is to vote for one-term Governors knowing the 2nd term is a free for all, this principle is applicable to all other federating units of Nigeria.

Old fool!! sad sad sad sad

Tell me what do you think, his chance at the poll is. ? Take it or leave it, we would have a Yoruba person on the ticket and we would vote only for a ticket that have Yorubas in it.

It is my humble opinion that the present PDP power brokers should not jettison their gentleman agreement of rotational presidency.
OBJ, Jonathan and their boys should be careful of what they are asking for.
Agreement is Agreement!!

Do u want me to pull out some of your writings, some as recent as 3 weeks ago? No?! I thot so!!! lol grin

Again, you bastar-d have failed to meet the simple challenge which is to construct a complete sentence while replying your fellow Nairalanders. Why is that so difficult for you? Let me guess, it is because MacDonald University only teaches you fence jumpers how to flip hot burritos .

Don't even give us the dummy excuse that you are using your phone to access this site.

Nah, Oldie, I actually had a beautiful upbringing but what would u know about that? Your childhood was filled with wars, coups, pogroms, and massacres; aint that the reason u got airlifted to Britain? U think I forgot what u said about urself? How u were taken as a refugee to Britain by the Red cross in the late 60s/early 70s and how u never went back to Nigeria since then, but, a few posts back u claimed to have been driving in Nigeria in the 90s! Dude, u lie thru your teeth its shameful!!! U claim Ezeuche wanted to give the Ijaws a choice, U claim your writing "Yoruba" was a typo, u claim u left Africa during the war and NEVER went back, all a sudden (to prove a point and discredit Kbojunkie) ure "driving in Nigeria in the 90's" . . . bk/moron97, the illiterate Latino bastar-d, the day you will be able to construct a simple sentence will be the blessed  day your adulterous mother will tell you who your run away father is. At least, you know that the Yoruba man presently servicing your moma is not your biological father. However, I know you can't meet the challenge;afterall, you dumb latinos only attend MacDonald University where you  learn how to flip burgers .

Business / Re: Was Abiola An International Drug Baron? by metalgong5(m): 1:35pm On May 16, 2010
mue2:

I've read through most of your comments on this issue and i must confess that very few of you have made intelligent contributions. Many of you seem to be adamant that the late Chief Abiola was a thief. But before jumping to such conclusions, you should do you research.

What is the source of this popular rumour? is it Fela's ITT song? Well let me be the first to tell you that Fela's stance on Abiola were biased because he and Abiola were in a feud over his work on the Chief's record label and thus were not on good terms. The feud was concerning his royalty payments.

If you are so sure that this man stole money from the government, ask your self another question, unlike OBJ , Ibori and the rest, has there ever been any proper concrete evidence to this effect? Were all his businesss' not financially independent from the government?

Where ever you have a rich man, there's always speculation as to how he made his money, and the issue of fraudalent practices or theft will always come up.It's just like how many say that Adenuga is a thief. These men are not thieves, they are simply manipulative and witty - a characteristic of all rich men.

Now,get the facts right.Abiola made his break at ITT when he was able to get the Military government of Muritala Mohammed to pay a debt the Nigerian government had owed to the company for years. Before Abiola was able to retrieve the payment , the company had made countless unsuccesful bids to get it,hence they were highly impressed with his perseverance and made him the head of the firm's operations in Africa and the middle east.He became the first indigenous Nigerian head of a Multinational company.

With that being said, pls endeavour to stop speaking ill about a man who's philantropic deeds and benevolence were ground breaking. All those saying that IBB saved Nigerians from the wrath of a "Kleptomaniac" have no argument.Your arguements are flawed.

From Nairaland alone , it is clear that Nigeria is a very tribalistic coutry,b'cos it has become clear to me that most of the pple speaking ill of abiola are igbo. Yorubas' would seldom speak ill about MKO Abiola. In yoruba land, he is a legend. As a matter of fact, excluding a relatively few ignorant Nigerians, he is a legend! from Maiduguri to sokoto,to abuja to Enugu to Delta and all the way to Lagos.

I rest my case.

Why should I be surprise that a kleptomaniac like MKO is your legend, It is a pity!!
