there is too much display of ignorant by you guys.if you were still younger in 1999/2003 elections, then i would implore that you go for consultation and find if obasanjo won his own ward.olodo
first and foremost, the difference between the two ex-general was that while obasano chose to handover to shagari, babangida choose to annuled abiola's election.he killed kudirat abiola,he single-handledly cripple nigeria economy through his structural adjustment programme,he ruled for 8 years of death and bitterness.many people were killed into the ocean until he was overthrown by his chief of staff;abacha.ibb introduced official corruption into our system of govt.chop i chop govt and you people are now defending him to return to power.were you people not matured enough to witness the oputa panel tribunal and hear the treacherous atrocities committed by babangida regime.some of us are eithe short-sighted or suffer from passive decay

Damn! Wonders shall never end in Nigeria.
BLUETOOTH, you are a stark illiterate who cannot construct a simple sentence without making fun of yourself. I always wonder how you ninny deemed yourself worthy to call another person OLODO. . . . . . Dude, you better quit clowning!!

it is either you dont know of obasanjo regime or you are being econmical with the truth.the senate president position was zoned to the igbo during the obasanjo regime.starting from chuma okadigbo who bought over 25 houses in gwarinpa in a day, pius ayim, adolphus wabara who requested for 55 million naira from el-rufai in order to be confirmed as fct minister.only ken nnamani was better.you igbo believed ibb will give you considerations if he evetually win the pdp primaries forgetting that the vice-president position is zoned to the south west.ibb is write-off in our generation.

Which planet do you live? . . . . Your writings smack of total ignorance of Nigerian political events.

Thanks for your keen observation . . . . The list shows that the cesspit called Nigeria is being plundered by yoruba and hausa parasites.

Big B1:

Once IBB makes is it officially clear that he will run for the 2011 presidential polls, I think Nigerians should immediately start calling him President Babangida.

It is a done deal; insha Allah IBB will rule again.

With confidence I can assure you that within 4 to 6 months in the office IBB will be embraced by all Nigerians that still have love for this nation.

Get ready folks, the real deal is on his way.
Seconded!!

Leave those Yoruba men, their grudge against IBB is because he prevented the most corrupt business man Nigeria has ever produced from being the president . . . . And now they thought that Nigerians are so gullible to buy such hypocritical campaign of calumny aganst IBB.

IBB  will surely win the 2011 elections . . . . . .   Enyi Ndigbo ka IBB bu !!

Nigerian is a nation of whinners, the trend is not likely to change.

IBB remains the best candidate for the job, and I will definitely vote for him if I 'm in Nigeria during the election period. . . . No amount of Yoruba men propaganda can stop the electoral victory of the Minna born administrator who is widely accepted by Nigerian populace of different ethnicity.
Politics / Re: Letter To Obama On General Babangida And Nigerian Elections In 2011 by metalgong5(m): 2:09am On Apr 12, 2010
Utter nonsense!! . . . . For the writer to postulate that Nigerians are more disposed to the leadership of people like Fashola , El-Rufai and Ribadu really smacks of one who is out of touch with reality and bereft of ideas.

How can the writer be recommending El-Rufai and Ribadu for the Nigerian presidency, two individuals who ran away from the same law of the land which they used to haunt political enemies of their master during their corrupt regime?
How can the writer who uses her pen as if she really abhors corruption recommend Fashola for Nigerian presidency? The same Fashola who shopped for a judgement that blocked the investigation of Lagos House of Assembly into his crooked financial dealings. Where is his leadeship accountability?

IBB will surely win the presidential election come 2011. . . . . No amount of Yoruba men propaganda can stop the electoral victory of IBB in 2011.

As I said earlier, failure to re-appoint Prof Iwu would be the genesis of a more disastrous election cycle.

OLLLLLLLLLLEEEEE IS OLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEE

These are some of the individuals whose names are flying around as 2011 potential presidential candidaes -Jonathan, Falea, Buhari, Tinubu, Atiku, Bafarawa and some other members of the mega party. These named individuals are all men with questionable integrity and corrupt background including the crooked acting president whose wife was once caught with unaccounted two million dollars. After conducting a background check on most of these politicians who have the wherewithal to contest the 2011 presidential elections, one would easily conclude that IBB will have the upper hand in the election.

You and I appear to be seeing the same things some of these guys cannot see. I think some of these people are forgetting WHAT Nigeria is. Also they are forgetting we have a history, socio-political culture and structure. Even Jonathan appears to be holding the forte for Yar adua. He doesn't appear to be "taking over". Until he takes over, I remain skeptical of his ability to contest or win next year's election. Like someone pointed out, he is an "acting president" for a reason. This is Nigeria.
Thats exactly the basis of my argument.

1. annulment of june 12 election
2. He is a criminal
3. His past will hunt him again

IBB has the best record of all the individuals whose names are flying around as potential presidential candidates in 2011.
His annulment of the June 12 election was an action in the right direction which was approved by a competent court of law.

Ojukwu caused Indigbo to lose that War. He killed the brave men so that they would not topple him. His judgement day is coming.

Idio.t!! I think you should be more concerned about your judgement day and that of your spineless Yoruba brothers who have the same fate like that of Awolowo who is burning in hell for the war crimes he commited .
As you can see, Ojukwu is almost eighty years old and his bones are still strong as the rock of gibraltar . . . It is a clear manifestation of God's blessings on a man who has always been on the right side of history.

What is the difference between AC and PDP? For your information, PDP is better than AC and that is the reason why Atiku left the party for Tinubu and his fellow rogues.

You can't disprove the title, can you?. I still think Ojukwu is becoming senile.

As Mikeasy had already said, you really need to go back and peruse the interview, you will see that Ojukwu carefully worded his answers  as a firm believer in democracy. As a matter of fact, IBB has the right to contest an election like any other Nigerian.

However, if this was the interview you used to infer that Ojukwu is becoming senile, then I must tell you that your condition is worse than that of a quintessential senile old man.

Your assertion that the indefatigable fighter of the downtrodden, the revered Odumegwu Ojukwu, is a war criminal exposes your moronicity and that of your past generations.

As an Anambrarian, what have you done for your state? Do you know that there are states without functioning public hospitals? Do you know that there are states were you have to wait in line for more than two weeks before seeing a doctor in a public hospital?

You have to be thanking God that your old woman survived the sickness with the help of the new quality heath care being rendered in Anambra public hospitals;unfortunately, you have the temerity to be complaining about the subsidized charges you were billed to pay.

I totally agree with Keyamo, Nuhu Ribadu should face the wrath of the law and prove his innocense. Dropping the charges does not augur well with the claims of the exiled rogue who parrots himself as a crime fighter when he was EFCC chairman whereas he was actually a tool being used by Obasabjo to frustrate the opposition.

QUESTION: was the Anambra elections which is the point of reference here credible? and how?
yes, the just concluded Anambra election was credible and well above average. It was an election devoid of any element of violence, the results of the different polling booths were announced in the presence of the voters. At the end of the results collation, INEC announced the winner who actually had the majority of the vote cast and also met the constitutional requirements. Also, 23 out of 25 candidates who contested the election conceded defeat and congratulated the winner.

If you didnt see the event that transpired in Anambra as a credible election, then give us your reasons supported with facts and not mere arm chair criticism.
