Mujtahida:

That's why I hate it so much because it turns our idea of football on its head. It's anti - football. Football is, you play, I play and the better team wins. No be to deny me of the ball by running triangles up and down in crisp fashion. I just don't like it at all. So sterile.
That pattern is also a tactical playing style. It's called possession game.

It's a motive to pull out your opponents from their positions and force them to leave pockets of spaces at the back.

Do you think we can displace Morocco at the 12th position if we win AFCON?
Nope. The gap is too wide- 36th to 12th. I think thee highest we can leap is top 25

Last Afcon Simon Moses was our best player, losing to Tunisia was what make most of us to rubbish the team that got 9 points in the group stage.
That's not true bro. If he actually had no end product he wouldn't be so highly rated in that tournament.

If we went far I'm sure you wouldn't be implying this.

Iwobi.. 9/10
Stop criticizing what isn't there
Commend the guy for the good plays and leave it at that
Nothing will happen to you
Oga he's right.

No one is saying he's bad

Iwobi is sluggish his work rate in the middle is obviously overworking Onyeka. He's a midfielder midfielder na

If Iwobi mistakenly get injury eh, na then wey all of una go respect am. Iwobi is the most important player in that team as far as I'm concerned. The only irreplaceable player.

If Osimhen gets injured, Moffi and Iheanacho dey. If Iwobi gets injured, we better just pack our bags because he is the only creative midfielder in the entire bloody team.
You're PARTIALLY right.

You know why? Not that he's that good its just that the team is almost like a "pauper" when it comes to that MF department.

You know that "one-eyed man in the land of the blind" adage.

Iwobi is still an average player nonetheless.

Although he fluffed a series of scoring chances that would have made him a contender for the golden boot, Osimhen's intimidating presence and winning mentality is what has got us to this stage people! šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚

Even with only one goalšŸ˜‚šŸ¤”

It's still Osimhen's AFCON so we ought to be happy.šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Availability can be on the bench.
We want him in the starting eleven.

Ihenacho has been available since his return from injury. Likewise the guy that replaced ndidi
I think those are just the coach's decision.

Those guys apparently don't fit into his current tactical plants. (Or at least he's not much confident in them)

Iwobi over Alhassan for creativity

Simon over Nacho for pace and defensive support.

I have been meaning to say this all the while. It's worrisome that we don't have a dead ball player in SE.
1) We are not threats to opposition during corner kicks. We have gone 4 matches in this Afcon. Zero goals from corner. Zero goals from indirect & direct free kicks. We have giants in our team but we cannot convert even 1 corner kick. Not even goal aaaiiih!!. It's worrisome. Our deliveries are always very poor.
I am just clueless as to how a player of Iwobi's caliber with his postion will have no idea about set piece taking.

Na dt ā€œstingyā€ defense Dey win tournamentā€¦eagles are playing in a highly organized compatible game, only a team full of individual brilliance can defeat dis teamā€¦it will be very difficult for any side in dis tournament to defeat eagles except if we decide to do d unusual;wc happens once in a while..dt Cameroon game was a confirmation, our opponents shld just drag us to d penalties and hope Dey win via penalties.
And they won't succeed. Because they'll concede at least a goal. We've never failed to find the back of the net in all four games.

Our front three have proven to be a handful for all the defenses.

How Nwabali was injured by Cameroon

But Got pass them
I'm proud of this defense... And Aina is one the live wires of that wonderful setup. Look the way he kept his eyes locked on the ball his goalkeeper was holding in the air... Just in case.

Anticipation.

He never took chances. An Uzoho would have dropped that ball in this kind of situation.
