Good morning mama's,I am about to go for my 3rd cycle,I want to ask,is there anyone who has used intralipid in their cycle and it was successful.
My first cycle, cyclogest, prednisolone and aspirin was used which failed, for my second cycle, its story for another day,so my clinic is suggesting I use intralipid this time...please mama,I would love to hear success stories with intralipid..

Intralipids is good,i used it before and after the embryo transfer and i got positive. My baby is 2 yrs old now.

[quote author=MineMK post=112496967]Thank you so much. I already sent them an email (PF Hospital) but no response. I think I will take a trip to the hospital tomorrow. God bless you greatly and Congratulations on your testimony grin

I was once directed to PF clinic by Dr Babajide of ATG, but there was no phone number on the letter. So I went else where.
I later got his number on this platform, when I called him, he didn't respond.
So if have hv his address and ure in Lagos u can and look for him.

Would you mind sharing your experience with them. [/quote
Good evening mamas. I am actually not new here. I have been following this thread with my former moniker until I noticed i couldn't send messages.
This is my first ivf cycle. And I cycled with kingswill in festac. My experience isn't bad at all. I had my ET on the 16th February with 2 other cycle mate. My blood work is on Saturday but I tested today at home and to the glory of God it was positive. The other lady I cycled with also tested positive while the 3rd person is yet to test but she has also missed her period.
You can ask further question if you need clarification

@ imanbkd where are u having ur procedure that they didn't advice u to care of all this problem first? IVF is too expensive and emotionally stressful than for u not take care of the fibroid.I don't really know about the ovarian cysts but it could be as a result of over stimulation.Pls don't waste ur money why not seek a send opinion from another clinic.u can go the page about some clinic where u can take care of the fibroid. most people with womb adhesion handily get pregnant with ivf.

Happy Sunday to all the Mamas' in this forum, I pray for you all that God of heaven will visit each and everyone of us in Jesus name amen.
I have been a silent reader for awhile now and must confess that this forum has been so wonderful to me.
Please I need an encouragement. I have been ttc for 12yrs now, but no avail, I have once tried ivf with st.Ives at Ikeja branch but it failed. Due to financial inability we stopped and since been trying to conceive naturally yet nothing happened. Adoption is no go area for husby. Now decided to try lasuth via bridge for another ivf.
After all the test, the Dr is saying:
- I have firbrod which by d grace of God have been sorted out by them through surgery on16th Aug'17
- he also said I will need a donors because of my age, I am 47
Should I change hospital or what do I do? My next appointment is 16th Sept 17
I believe ure pregnant now.as from 35 ur best option is donor cycle.U don't need to change ur hospital because that what u 'll be offered too.just pray it successful.

Its the donor's egg, not yours. So the child will take after the person who has the egg it came out from( the donor ) and the person whose sp.e.r.m fertilized it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- it's still yours bc because it was planted in u and ure the one that carried her in ur womb, more or less u gave him or life, without being implanted in u they can live, so it all yours. Most tyme they usually resembles the s. p. e. r. m donor. i.e. the father.they cannot take after the egg donor bc u don't know her, a child take after anyone that trains them. so if are being asked to use a donor take it with joy and pray for the success. one secret most people will not tell u how they got or what they do b/4 they got pregnant, what u, 'll hear is its God, so wise up and smilez

@ chukkddy danger ke it's just like when ur egg is working or recurrent ivf failure, then ur Dr will suggest or u option for it.or just like comparing 25yrs old girl with 40-50 yrs woman that want use their own egg for ivf, the younger woman will have a better results all things being equal. so using a donor means a younger woman donates for u and u stand better chance.

Myths And Misconceptions About In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

IVF or In Vitro Fertilisation is not without its fair share of myths. Some people see IVF as an expensive treatment that only rich people can afford. To some, IVF treatments always result in twins and triplets.

In this mail, we have listed ten prevalent myths surrounding IVF and contrasting facts that dispel these myths:

Age is a barrier
This is false. Success rates of IVF may be affected by age. However, virtually women of all ages including post menopausal women can achieve pregnancy either with their own eggs or the use of donor eggs. However the safety of such a venture needs to be weighed in women of very advanced age group

Fertility medication causes cancer
Medical studies to date have concluded that fertility drugs are not linked to development of ovarian, breast and endometrial cancer.

Donating eggs will finish your eggs
This is not true. A woman is born with all the eggs she will never need in her lifetime. At menarche (her first menses) she has over 400,000 eggs and from that she requires only 400 in her lifetime. However every month she recruits or mobilizes a certain number say 20 only one or two grow to the point of being released around the middle of her cycle during the process of ovulation. The remaining 18-19 die off. What IVF does is to give drugs to sustain the growth of the 18-19 that will otherwise have died anyway. So there is no extra reduction in her eggs due to donation

Success rates are really poor
This is not true. Not every woman gets pregnant every time she has intercourse during her ovulation. Do you know that the chance of conception monthly on the average is 20% (1 in 5 couples)? The other 4 try again the following month. IVF success rates are even better than nature. They average 40-50% in young women less than 35 years of age
IVF is always successful; I should get pregnant after one attempt
This is not true. Just like even nature fails sometimes following intercourse at the right time (in fact most of the time) IVF can also fail. And because success rates are not 100% couples are advised to prepare for at least 2 cycles to achieve success. One failed attempt does not mean the next will fail either.

IVF is for women only
This is false. In fact there are several techniques (ICSI, IMSI, PICSI) designed to help situations where the man has problems with his sperms. There are situations where the woman is fine and the factor causing infertility is in the man (male factor infertility). She is only having IVF on behalf of the man if you like.

Intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection

IVF is the last solution to wait for
The earlier the couple present for IVF the better for best results as age is a factor in its success. Many times couples waste time and money seeking for solutions elsewhere when IVF is the only solution for example in situations of tubal blockage.

IVF only results in multiple pregnancy twins, triplet
This is not entirely true. Yes, IVF increases the chance of multiple births by about 25% however several IVF pregnancies result in singleton births and the risk of multiple births can be controlled by controlling the number of embryos transferred. Elective single embryo transfer is now being advocated to reduce the chance of multiple births.

All IVF pregnancies must be delivered by Caeserean section (C/S)
No. It depends on several factors. IVF pregnancies are like any other naturally conceived pregnancies. IVF pregnancy is not an indication for caesarean section. The doctor must assess the pregnancy and see if there are any obstetric indications for a caesarean delivery. However many couples having been trying for a baby for several years and with a high chance of multiple pregnancy will resort to the safer planned option of elective cesarean delivery. It is possible to have a normal vaginal delivery following IVF

IVF is really expensive; it is only for the rich
IVF is affordable and cost should not be a deterrent. Couples can save towards IVF in the same way they would save for other capital intensive projects. Some clinics have the option of instalmental payments and in some countries there is some form of insurance cover for IVF.

Sperm boosters can help men with low sperm count
In this era of evidence based medicine, there is currently no medical evidence to support the use of sperm boosters. Some of them may in fact be detrimental. Most are a waste of resources and time as the female partner is aging by the side as the male partner insists in using these mostly ineffective so called sperm boosters reducing their age dependent success rates. More so the cause of the sperm abnormality may not even be amenable to these medications for example absent testes or blocked vas deferens (the tubes that deliver the sperms). Instead behavioral modifications like abstaining from alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana and weight management could be more beneficial
.
