Politics › Re: Investors Flee From Nigeria As Buhari Will Perform Economic Miracle! by Metrofox(m): 7:43am On May 12, 2015 |
tit: After welcoming the incoming regime of mahdi Buhari will wild euphoria, the G8 nations are now looking at events in Nigeria with incredulity. As the regime of Baba Onechance is getting ready to take the saddle of Nigeria and pitch the populace into a rough ride, investors are folding all their plans to invest in Nigeria as they doubt the sanity of the people living there. FDIs like Goldmann Sacks are pulling back from their plans to transform Nigeria since the Buhari regime plans to revive all the comatose NNPC refineries, generate 80,000 MW of electricty before fiscal 2016! Speaking to a top wall street investor, the talk in the street is that if Buhari regime can do all that, then they do not need FDI. Infact, the fear is that the expectant populace would loot any conventional investment resources and lynch such investors since they believe market forces are the bane of their poverty! The smart money is pulling out and waiting for the dust to settle which could come around end of 2016 when Buhari regime will be stoned out of Aso Rock having driven the polity over the cliff! This girl again with her factory fitted mumu nature |

rexbuton: your ophthalmologist is wrong.. contact lenses are better for higher powers such as yours.. moving the CL to the corneal plane would reduce the convergence effect of the high minus on the visual system.. secondly, contact lenses would be more suitable if the powers are different with up to -1.50DS[b] (anisometropia)[\b] or contains cylinder power of up to -1.25DC, as the CL would reduce the chances of different image sizes in both eyes[b](aniseikonia)[\b] .. summary be say, CL is better for you.. go and get one from a reliable practitioner |

obaty: I jst got them, the doctor said it is normal for beginners Are you short sighted or far sighted? Were you having headaches before the glasses? Are u highly sensitive to light? Again it's better you revisit your Doctor & clearly lay out your complaints.. The glass should take stress away from the eyes thereby causing relief & not otherwise |
Health › Re: Lamentations Of A Glasses/contact Lens User by Metrofox(m): 8:14pm On May 03, 2015 |
lomomike: But in my case I still had headaches. Aches on the bridge between my eyes (not caused by the seat of the glass), also headache ran thru my forehead from the eye ridge and behind my ears. I'll advise you schedule to see your optometrist for another test.. You shouldn't feel discomfort with your spectacles |

obaty: I thought you were going to talk about the frequent headache you get, not most of this which seems to be the benefits. Well glasses make people look smarter , gentle and lenient which is a turn on for the opposite sex and it also gives your employer this feeling that you are hardworking What type of lenses do you use? You ain't suppose to have headaches with your prescription unless it's the wrong one.. |

sugarcoatted: I use -18 lens. Been using glasses sinz i was in primary skul. I'm kinda used to it now. I c no rizn y any1 shuld feel intimidated or less important just cos he/she wears glasses. The only thing i find annoyn about mine is dt my len is so thick. You can always get ultra thin lenses... These are lenses made from materials of a higher refractive index so it doesn't need to be as thick to achieve same results.. Ask any optometrist close to u |

debola23: I feel you my brother. Been wearing glasses since I was in pry 5. Was 8yrs then. 24yrs later amd I am still going stromg with it. I am a gyal though and people think me automatically brainy cos I wear glasses...yimu yimu.... Downside is that I have these perm lines on d sides of my face where d glasses handle rests. Then my nose aches most times. I look ok when in Jeans but imagine adorning medicated glasses when trying to go out on a date in ur sexy gown. It just doesnt work right. Dont even talk about contacts...I am.not that careful and I fear I maynot be able to keep d contacts safe. Plus I like whats left of my eyes and cant fathom d idea of chooking somethin inside my eye everyday. those lines indicate your frame is too tight.. try a good frame that fits, something classy too.. anybody can look good on glasses |

Politics › Re: Nairaland Democrats' Criticisms Of The President-Elect; My (Repentant) Thoughts by Metrofox(m): 11:28am On Apr 29, 2015 |
MizMyColi:
I was very unfortunate fortunate to trek the suburbs of Lagos' capital today. Thanks to that faulty ride, the unrepentant gidi traffic and of course, near absence of vacant buses (Rush Hour Tins) I left the office fuming, but now that I'm finally settled in a bus, on my way to my final destination, I'm thankful. I had loads of time to trek, to reminisce, and to ruminate.
With the fresh air from the trees planted under the leadership of his excellency, BRF (SAN), fluttering all over my face....it was a time of sober reflection. I asked myself questions, hard ones....questions which everyone who has towed or intends to take the path I towed should ask themselves.
Why do I hate Buhari? What has he done against me as an individual?
Since when did I start excluding people from my grace list?
If GEJ had won, wouldn't I want people to give him grace before jumping at him? Would I appreciate the militant attitude with which I treat anything GMB/PYO if someone did that to my own?
Even if the progressives on Nairaland treated/treats a man I honour as an individual with such disdain and ineptitude, does it make it right, for me to go all out to get my pound of flesh, albeit subconsciously? Now that their own is in power?
Would it kill me to believe God for a better Nigeria?
Why am I so convinced Nigeria will fail even more? Btw, if Nigeria falls, who will bear the brunt more?
I have always believed in bringing sense, even out of nonsense. I have always believed that there is inherent goodness in everyman, no matter how worse and evil they appear.....why have I conveniently exempted the APC, GMB/PYO.
I remember asking "Where is Osinbajo?" In my myopic thinking, I chose to think he has retired to his block of flats and handed over his post, unofficially to Tinubu.
Well, what if as I write now, that man is on his kness, praying and crying his hearts out.....asking God to help him steer the cause of this nation....what if?
For sometime now, I have observed that in my online relations, I have fallen short of THINKing. (an acronym I promoted on here briefly, as regards online ettiquette)
Is it Thoughtful?
Is it Helpful?
Is it Inspiring?
Is it Necessary?
Is it Kind?
Nonetheless, I reckon that we are all growing. We are all getting better... Those that point to our failings and accuse us of being hypocrites fail to see that we all have our blindspots and none of those blindspots makes us any less than we are. For we shine, not in never falling but in rising and pushing on.
It is on this note that I hereby submit that I have seen that my manner of approach and way of addressing Buhari and co was off and I have decided to make a turn around in the spirit of excellence.
Henceforth, I will try to see the good in the incoming administration and maintain a position of near neutrality and objectivity. I will put them in my prayers and be an ambassador of peace and goodwill where ever, whenever; for first and foremost, I am, A Nigerian. So help me God.
I wish GMB good health of mind and body. I wish him and his team wisdom and understanding uncommon as they prepare to pilot the affairs of this nation. And So shall it be.
Thanks for taking time to read.
Signed
Mizmycoli (f)

don't know you yet, haven't seen you yet but i must confess I'm falling for you.. God bless your day for this wonderful piece.. thanks for making my day. Nigeria will rise like a phoenix from the ashes |

Here in the politics section ,we don't apologize, we match curse for curse until we all are well cursed.
They started the cursing the moment Jonathan became President but now they want us to stop because their illiterate cattle owner is about to stay in Aso Rock and you should also remember that it is your fundamental human right to express yourself and your anger as long as no harm was done and no crime was committed and last time I checked it wasn't a criminal offence.
Remember to be focused ,the battle just started for you start with apologies and if I may ask, apologies for what?
Speak up Mizzy they are blackmailing you , we were on our own when he came and said he must become the President at all cost and we own our mouth - My friend curse just curse please. No peace for tanoids!! |
