This place seems awfully quiet, I hope many people survived the subsequent liquidations, this is the one of the highest i have ever seen, $1.4B in total liquidations so far- 300k plus traders affected.

Does anyone think the latest news from china about the $300B liquidation of Evergrande affect the market? NYSE will open in less than 4hours and the last time they defaulted on their loan, it affected the US stock market and made BTC bleed for a few days.

Greyscale’s almost daily sale of BTC has been impacting the market negatively. I don’t know if they will continue to sell or halt for a while for the market to recover. I am in a very vulnerable position right now. I am wondering if I should either hedge now or wait for the market to recover a bit before closing some longs. This market has been somehow💀

True...okay, you remember that time...not just not using high leverages, but not having too much positions.

Also, not using cross...one bad coin dump can destroy the rest.

Anyway, anybody with $10 can gradually/quickly recover since we are almost in the bull market, which is sometimes forgiving.
i learnt a bitter lesson that day..i had too many open positions with high leverages..couldn’t survive it. That Was my most painful liquidation ever..I haven’t financially recovered from that event up till now

That's why we keep calling for regulations. The last dump experience that was like this was June/July...bloody.
i learnt the hard way then. This is why I don't use any leverage above 10x no matter the temptation. I was able to react quickly because my longs had manageable leverages

JUST IN: According to #Solana's financial statement, It is currently experiencing a monthly loss of over $100 million to keep nodes running and gas fees under control.

📉 Highest loss in December :

Token Inflation alert 🚨

This should be a thing of concern and you should monitor your positions closely✍️
every solana holder should pay keen interest to the FTX case because of their solana holdings, it’s only a matter of time before their creditors will flood the market with those tokens once they get legal approval.

These guys are theives! Something should be done about them. We can't fold out arms and watch them cheat us every now and then
they did something similar to me. I was debited for a trip the rider cancelled and it was wiped from my ride history. They refused to refund that amount till date. In my 2nd issue, My bank card was debited and my wallet wasn’t credited with the value, indrive in their characteristic manner started using me to play hide and seek with their useless canned messages. After giving me all manner of excuses for multiple days and making me wait after numerous deadlines they set themselves. They started force closing chats and at a point, I couldn’t contact customer care. They are rogues!

So what if you arrive at the pick up point, then message the client and he/she refuses to respond after waiting for like 15 mins, what would you do? Some of them don't have active or reachable phone number. Once they chat you to start coming,on getting there you go call tire and the number won't go through, and to reply chats is a big issue for most of them. You never jam bro. Once i place a call it gives me confidence to go and pick up the person. And i will ring it to the person's ear not to allow me burn my fuel for nothing. It has been working for me but some will still disappoint which is normal among Nigerians, because they don't charge them for cancellation like Uber does.
there’s a learning curve in this hustle, Sooner or later you will learn from experience. You haven’t come across people who will order, give you full assurance and then block you on arrival before you can place a second call after you have arrived. Nigerian women are a very special breed of individuals, or people who will order multiple rides on different platforms and choose whichever arrives first and block the others. Just do whatever works for you, I prefer chatting because most times, It reduces the chances of my account being debited in the event of a cancellation since so many people lack empathy.

No vex, bro.
Indrive has the 'wackest' customer service, so, don't rely on them for any resolution.
As you rightly said, having no physical office here is still greasing their elbow. That's why.
That being said, I think you're relatively new on indrive. Indrive is actually not that complicated for drivers. And yeah, all companies care more about their customers, so as e-hailing companies.
I will say you're yet to grab the scope of how indrive's system operates.
All you need to know about indrive has been posted here, just try and read back.
Bolt's own is even worse and with that, many drivers here know how to beat them to their game.
For indrive, don't call any passenger you picked their order.
I can't start this again, abeg.
Just try and read back.
You will definitely get the grip of indrive as time goes on sha.
Mind you, any money wey indrive don swallow, e don go. Otiló. 🕺💃👯 😁

Much respect, boss.
I know the tricks on the platform. I hardly ever call, I use their chat feature 90% of the time. Been a year on and off that platform so I doubt if I can be described as new...they essentially make drivers pay for glitches in their system. A friend of mine's bank card was debited without having his account wallet credited, I assumed he didn't follow the due process until it happened to me after using the same recharge procedure for 9months. The new one wey dey bust my head are rides cancelled by passengers not appearing on trip history, under normal circumstances they don't debit accounts in such circumstances as long as a call wasn't made but lately...they do so at random without even adding the value to the refund balance. The way I track these is by scrutinizing balance statistics. Drivers go hear am once they get significantly higher market share.

Sorry about your experience. I hope they are responding, even if they are yet to implement your concerns. Their priority is riders and not drivers. It's quite unfortunate but it's the reality.
very true..the first two issues i have with them have been pending since last month, all they do is send me canned messages and say they will refund in either 24hrs, 5 or 7 days and nothing will be done at the end of the day.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by mh53(m): 4:04am On Nov 14, 2023
Indrive as a platform will be worse than bolt with the way things are going. Their customer care is incompetent and unwilling to handle refund related issues properly. I have three pending refund issues that are systematically being swept under the rug by them. From due Refunds not appearing in wallets to cancelled rides mysteriously disappearing from ride logs after Driver wallets have been debited. I don’t know if it’s because they don’t have a physical office here that they are misbehaving like this. Rida which was a great alternative was nuked by their useless update. This whole thing is annoying.

Between 5w-20 and 5w-30

Which is more recommended for Nigeria weather?
5w 30, most car makers switched to 5w 20 to meet up their CAFE (corporate average fuel economy) targets because using lighter oils marginally improves fuel economy but it comes at the expense of longevity. This phenomenon is why some car makers buy carbon credits from zero emission brands like tesla because there are hefty fines to be paid if those targets aren’t met. This is one of the reasons why everyone is either downsizing, switching to hybrid or pure electric powertrains.

My dear brother, kindly assist me with feeding pending the time I get something doing fetching money and I can contribute to our welfare,

4: whenever you get any Money, try and refill your brothers cooking gas, buy some spaghetti or noddles, or Golden penny Semo, Vegetables Oil and present it to your brother

you sabi cap die. It’s a different case when you request for help and state categorically that you are financially incapacitated as at that moment- Not claiming to have paid for a service rendered to you when you clearly DIDN’T do so. It was a request initiated from his end. Stop being sentimental like a teenager experiencing menstrual cramps and call a spade a spade. Your word should be your bond as a man.

Peugeots of that era used automatic gearboxes from ZF of Germany. ZF isn't known for building durable automatic gearboxes for transverse applications (front wheel drive platforms), it's best you go for a 307 with a manual transmission. There's a reason why newer Peugeots now use automatic gearboxes from aisin (Toyota's subsidiary), Even modern front wheel drive based BMWs,Volvos and Minis use aisin transmissions for their automatics.

I'd say forget it. However, since you saw it as business, that may be difficult hence your displeasure.
I'm also of the opinion that things like this should be done without expecting monetary compensation. If you were expecting to be paid from the get go then it's not an act of kindness or "Help".
on 4 different occasions, I jumpstarted 4 vehicles within 50metres radius. 2 were in Mall parking lots, the others were on the road side...I assisted those ones free of charge because it literally cost me nothing to do so. The two times my battery failed after alternator failures, my so called fellow drivers made sure I paid for their services despite being in the same vicinity.I got pissed in this case because of the distance and terrain I encountered, life goes on either way.

In Bulablu's era of 570+ fuel? It was a request. I honoured my end, the other party didn't. Are you simply trolling for attention or what on this thread? Use your own kindness to 'buy fuel' and get parts when the need arises.

If the bank is Gtb, it's possible they debited him and didn't credit you.
Just tell him to check his account balance, there might have been a reversal and he would not notice because it's small money.

I got a reversal this morning.
he said it’s UBA. I also have a UBA acct, I made a transfer to the beneficiary account and it hit within 1 minute.

I had a very nasty experience some days ago. I went to the airport to drop one of my Ogas and decided to visit a friend who stays in ajao estate. I didn’t want to blow back empty and decided to wait to get a rider to at least pay for my fuel back to the Island. That’s how i turned on my Rida app and saw someone requesting for help to jumpstart his vehicle, I initially ignored the request and assumed someone else will help out. 20mins later..i still saw his request online..i decided to check the details and discovered that he was about 12mins away from my location. I decided to go since it was nearby; after driving through bad roads, Running my engine for 20mins plus, using a powerbank and a jumper cable afterwards..the car refused to start. My battery had to be removed and combined with a powerbank to boost to start his car. The whole process took me at least 30mins after which i gave him my account details for him to do a transfer, he claimed to have been debited . Fast forward to 48hrs afterwards..I haven’t seen one kobo from him. I used the same bank he claimed to have used to make a transfer to my account and it dropped instantly. He doesn’t pick my calls or respond to whatsapp messages and keeps on claiming he has been debited. People like this are the type who make others ignore assisting others in times of need. This is the number of the guy..09161870419, i think amos is his name.

the accord’s suspension has some question marks. I doubt if it’s as rugged as it’s civic sibling. Honda automatic transmissions aren’t as durable as the aisin-built gearboxes used in Toyotas.

Hello guys, so got just 1.5mill to shed for either of this two.

Which do you advice I buy my good people, as a point A to point B car, considering I'll be spending a total of 4hrs each day from Monday through Friday, in this Lagos.

Abeg make una advice me my people, cos I personally love the Honda Accord for it's aesthetics, but my fear is the leg, and it's reliability, when compared to the almighty Toyota!

Thanks for your anticipated response people.
Go for the camry, with the 3.0L V6 (1mz-fe). Avoid the 2.4L (2Az-Fe), it has a factory flaw which causes overheating without warning in addition to being notorious for burning oil. Stay away from the 4cyl for peace of mind. Mine clocked 4yrs in December and is presently almost at 200k miles with No check engine light. I left lagos with a full tank of fuel and arrived in owerri with a quarter tank while maintaining an average speed of 85kph with cruise control and the ac at its lowest setting (this result has been consistent-this is my 5th time with the same outcome). The powertrain is very reliable- it’s just the suspension that occasionally has challenges because of our bad roads. Find a Nigerian used V6 that wasn’t abused. I use Hardex gold 5w 30 on mine and it performs perfectly.
