I am utterly ashamed with the comments of supposedly graduates here. My friends don't you guys think before you comment. Every student and staff fall under the university rule and the university is ought to train u in character and in learning. Beards especially heavy ones are are dirty, nasty and dishevelled and you look older than your age when you ought to look young and smart. Can you comfortably walk into Dangotes office to ask for a job with your chin and jaw filled with beards looking like an ancestor while Dangote himself looks young, crisp and smart. Forget about the certificate, if universities can get its graduate well trained character wise, we will have a country with sound minded individuals. I am strongly with the school on this one.

I understand your compromising position currently. I experienced worst when I was serving. I took further Mathematics and mathematics SS2, The girls in that class virtually flash from their skirts knowingly and they love seating in the front in my period. I always appear uninterested. I advise you don't apply to work their after service but if you must, then talk to the senior staff of the school on how to identify and deal with students propping up the act. They know their students than you do. Then always appear uninterested and even invite your gf so you can make romantic gestures with her before to reassure them that you are in a working relationship. If she is not closeby, plan it out with a fellow female corps member. A peck, a hug will send the message across.

I would want the federal government to scrap the HND aspect of the polytechnic. Inorder words the polytechnic should only run OND and end it there.


Anyone or student seeking for Higher degree should go to the university and take Bsc or BA program.

I am saying it because HND degree are not even recognised for senior graduate jobs or even admission to masters degree program.

The HND program should be scrapped. Graduates of HND degree should be encourage to go for 2 years Bsc or Btech or BA program to get a full university degree. This will finally end the much talked about HND or Bsc dichotomy.

As for the strike action, I think the federal government is taking too much burden hences there should be devolution of most of its over bloated functions to state.

You are creative, but a whole lot needs to go in to actualize that. 1) More Universities needs to be created to increase the carrying capacity and judging from the meagre funds thrown to education, I wonder if it is feasible. 2) HND lecturers from the polytechnics needs to update their academic qualifications to be incorporated into the universities that absolved their students 3) The grades acquired from the OND level must be transmitted to the Universities and in a less cumbersome manner....
